A petite, red furred fae padded through the green foliage, running through things in her mind. Really, she should have done this a long time ago. Kishi wasn't particularly sure why she hadn't thought of it before now. It seemed like the obvious thing to do, when she thought about it. Simple. The Alphess had spent the past season trying to find out who had survived the Winter, and who hadn't, by wandering her lands, and talking to any of the pack wolves she bumped into. When, in reality, all she'd have had to do was call a pack meeting, which was what she was heading towards now. That way, she'd have her pack all in one place, and the femme would be able to do a head count on who was still with them, and who sadly wasn't.
So far, she only knew of two. Frost, the Shamen fae, and Shade, one of the pack warriors. And the results of bumping into the two of them had been completely different. Her and Frost had sat for a while, and just chatted pleasantly, about the Winter, about the Spring, and just generally about what the Shaman had been up to. It had been quite a relaxing catch up. But then their was her run in with Shade, which had been very, very different. The two had argued, over what kishi could no longer remember. He'd then wandered off into the Skyla lands, and gotten on the wrong side of Kaija, which would never turn out as a good thing. Kishi was pretty sure that the Warrior would now be on her brothers hit list. A very dangerous list to be on.
And that led up to the other pack members. Unfortunately, Kishi had not seen her betan, Halgea, in a very long time, which worried her, alot. The femme really hoped that her second in command was Okay. She was unsure how she'd manage without the wolf. and Jewel. That was a wolf she had not seen in even longer. The odds were not looking to be in their favour, sadly.
Finally, the Alphess came out onto the area she had been heading for. Zestos River. One of the more beautiful parts of her land, a partcular favourite of the femmes. The prey here was plentiful, and the river was fairly clean. The perfect place to gather her pack, in the faes eyes. The mexican wolf trotted over to a slightly raised part of the ground, hopping up onto the rock, and then lifted her head in the breeze filled sky. She emitted a long, eerie howl, asking her packmates to come to her imediately.

The brute overheard the howl and instantly knew who it was from and what it was about. As he started padding toward the howl. His thoughts drifted back and forth between now and the agruement that he had had with his alphess. He didn't want to fight with her but still he had to be prepared if it was brought up. Then again he knew it wasn't most likely be brought up because he knew that kishi didn't like to live in the past and honestly neither did he. By this time shade had decided that he was just going to come out and tell her how he felt. If she turned him down that was her choice but he needed to tell her and it had to be soon. Even though it really didn't have to do with the mating season or even becoming alpha. Shade slowly made his way over a fallen log before continuing his journey to meet up with his alphess.
As he could smell her scent getting stronger. he was clearly headed in the right direction as his ears perked up. The raven-black brute pushed his way though the underlying plant life. just as he cleared it a small branch swung back striking the brute in the nose. Which caused him to sneeze rather loudly giving his position away to any wolf that just happened to be in the area. the brute pushed though the last patch of plant life and there she was... the most beautiful vixen around.. well in shade's eyes anyway. But he still had no idea how he was going to tell her. but it was good that they had some time alone before the others.. if any arrived.. . He padded over to her and sat just in front of her. maybe three or four feet away and sighed deeply.
As he looked back up he spoke softly. "Kishi.. there is something we need to discuss before the others arrive..". His voice was completely different from the way the brute normally talked. Something was clearly on his mind. anyone could see that or atleast thats what shade thought as his tail laid motionless on the ground behind him.

As she had expected, it didn't take long for the Xyla to start arriving. Of course, she smelt the wolf coming before she actually saw him, but recognised the scent almost immedietly. It was the packs dark furred warrior Brute, Shade. Well, good to see he hadn't been killed yet, as it was probably only a matter of time before Kaija made an attempt to get to him. Something the pack would have to be alert and ready for. She so hoped this wasn't going to end up in a battle against the Skyla. If that happened, what chances would they have?
Shade entered the clearing merely seconds later, bringing a mixture of scents into the warm air with him. His smell was the strongest, and he still smelt very faintly of the Skyla packlands, but their was something else on him too .. another fae, maybe? Kishi watched him curiously as he plodded heavily over to where she stood. Yes, she could definitely smell another wolf on him, and not a pack wolf either. That didn't matter though, did it? It was his buisness, not hers.
The Brute sighed, and sort of .. flopped to the ground lazily, his eyes looking up at her. He looked as though he was going to speak, so Kishi waited patiently. 'Kishi.. there is something we need to discuss before the others arrive..' Their was something different about the way he spoke, something that peaked the fae's curiosity even higher to hear what he had to say. Maybe the scent she could smell on him was another femme after all? What if he was about to announce that he was leaving the Xyla to start a pack of his own? That definitely wasn't what she wanted to hear. "Ok, but make it quick. I'm pretty sure Frost is somewhere closeby." Halgae, the betan probably was, too. If she was still alive, that is.

"Well.. im not gonna beat around the bush." the brute said as he sighed deeply looking away from his alphess for a moment. as he looked back a soft smile had worked its way onto his maw. he slowly began to speak again but something caught his attention for a split second but he shook his head and brought his attention back to the fae in front of him." Kishi.. i love you.. and i know what your thinking but it has nothing to do with the mating season". the brute chuckled nervously as he glanced around and padded at the ground in front of him. trying to find some way to explain the way he felt but it was no use. " I know its hard to believe.." the brute sighed abit before continuing. "i can't explain why i feel the way i do but all i do know is that ever since we met up again.. you've been all i've thought about in fact if you had died.. i don't know what i would of done.".
He looked away expecting to either be rejected or yelled at. Even if he was then he would just accept it and move on. but he could not bare to hide that secret any longer. a soft autumn breeze blew through the area. as it brought with it the scent of another fae the brute scoffed softly. Could kishi of been correct when she said that more members would soon be there?. maybe but it was to soon to tell so he decided to just wait and listen for a response from his alphess. Hopefully he didn't just freak her out he sighed deeply once more before looking at the ground.

Frost yawned and walked along the river. Then she heard Kishi howl, okay pack meeting. She wasn't in any rush, so she started out at a slow, relaxing pace. But her running spirit got the best of her. She ran as fast as she could, enjoying the wind in her face, an ignoring the sticks and brambles. She ran until she was close to where Kishi was. she slowed down quietly. Frost sniffed the air. Shade was already here. She pricked her ears. What were they saying? Then she left them for a moment to wash in the stream and get dirt and fern scent all over. Then she crept closer and listened again. She was a good distance away, but close enough to hear a few words. Shade was closest. "Kishi...season...died" Well, I'm not getting anywhere. Frost left to wash again and waited out of hearing range for them to finish.

Halgea heard a long, lone, howl. In her haste to food, she didn't think much of it at first, but, after she had eaten, about ten minutes later, she noticed that it was Kishi's howl. She darted to the direction it had come from-and there stood a hunter.
Halgea emitted a slow, guttural, growl. The gun was in her face-it was long-and the boy pointing it, looked... afraid? Her growl stopped and the boy winced when she laid down beside him, thinking she was assuming a crouching position. She cautiously walked over to him and placed her muzzle on his knee. He made a high pitched squeaking noise and called out, "Dad?" a tall, able looking man sauntered into the clearing. "Son, step away from the wolf." The father then cocked his gun and aimed at her. She ran as fast as she could, but was not fast enough, and got shot in the hip. She still ran, though the pain in her hip was slowing her, she was second in command, she could NOT miss this meeting. She finally reached the familiar Zestos River and waded in the water. Shade and Kishi were talking and she thought it best not to disturb them... Blood mingled with the cool water and as she waded out, her knees buckled and it all went black.

Frost sniffed the air in the wind. Was that blood? It smelled like...Who was that? Someone important... I'll remember later. She got up quietly and ran to the place it was coming from. A carmel brown with red fae was unconscious in the river. The blood seemed to come from her hip, but it was too messy to find the real source. She tried to pull her out, but she wasn't strong in that type, so she placed her head above water and ran to get Kishi or Shade to help her.

I know its hard to believe..i can't explain why i feel the way i do but all i do know is that ever since we met up again.. you've been all i've thought about in fact if you had died.. i don't know what i would of done.' The red fae stared at him, wide eyed, without a clue on what to say in reply. Where the hell had that all come from? Was it true what he was saying? Sure, he'd been acting a it .. wierd lately, but she'd just put that down to how close mating season had been. she'd never had any idea that that was what had been on his mind! Jesus, how was she supposed to handle this one? Yes, she liked him, but in that way? It was possible, but again, that might have just been due to the fact that it was mating season. Their was a soft scent of another wolf in the area, but Kishi took little notice, suddenly feeling very warm bodied and embarassed, her mouth opening and closing in astonishment several times before finally speaking. "Shade, i'm sure mating season must have muddled up your mind, which is understandable. Maybe we should have this conversation when your mind isn't so clouded. you'll probably feel alot different th-" BANG!
The femme stopped mid sentence, the sudden loud noise making her yelp in surprise. Fear ran through her, her eyes opening widely to stare into the direction that the shot had come from, and then flicking to Shade. "Wh-what was that?" Kishi had never heard gunfire before, she hadn't been alive when the 'humans' had first invaded Kongrai, and so didn't even know what one looked like, apart from the fact that they stood on two legs! She'd heard the storied, the rumours, but had always assumed that they'd left, after killing half of the Island. Was it possible that the noise was them? That was the only explanation she could think of, as horrible as it was.
The scent of blood invaded the clearing, and it felt as though her legs turned to jelly. The fur on her back bristled, as the uneasy feeling of danger washed over her. Something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong. Kishi jumped down from where she had been stood a second ago, padding nervously to stand next to Shade, staring blank mindedly to where the noise had come from. She could hear something running towards them, heavy footed, in a panick? Another wave of fear washed over her. What was that? A wolf, or a human?

Frost ran back to where Shade and Kishi were talking. She wasn't as careful as she normally was, and allowed a few brambles to scratch her legs. Her legs still had plenty of energy, boosted even more with adrenalin. Her heart beat fiercely. The wound was probably from the gunshot she had heard earlier. Running always helped her think. She had smelled an odd scent of a creature she had never smelled before. Ever. What creature could be here that she never knew? Of course, it was human. What idiot wolf would touch one? She burst into the small clearing where Shade and Kishi were. They had stopped talking. She took a second to catch her breath. "A wolf is unconscious in the river." Frost said, "It's bleeding from its hip. I think its a fae." Her mind spun. She had heard the gunshot. She was told that it was a loud, shaking noise, that struck fear into everyone. She hadn't been able to believe Now she knew. It was much worse. How had humans gotten here in the first place? Hadn't they left? Should they warn the other packs? The whole island NEEDED to be prepared. Her thoughts and questions swirled like a hurricane.
Ooc, What's a muse?

The brute had not reacted the same way as his alphess or the other fae. instead of fearing the sound shade became angry. As he started to growl softly he knew almost exactly what had happened because something simliar had happened to him and they had gotten away. But this time they would pay for their crimes not only against him but for the wolf they had wounded as well. by this time he noticed that kishi had moved closer to him, it was clear that she was alil shaken by the sound seeing how he really doubted that she had encountered a human before. he gave her a ressuring nuzzle and motioned for her to go with the fae before speaking. "Kishi you should go check on the wolf, if anyone here could save the wolf's life its you". he looked back toward the gunshot and growled abit more before speaking again this time the rage he felt shone clearly in his voice. "i have some unfinished business to attend to.." and with that said the brute took off running toward the gunshot. Not waiting for his alphess's okay or her permission to do so, he was not going to let the human or humans get away with another crime especially if it involved someone within his pack.
Soon enough the brute had disappeared from sight. leaving the two faes to decide their course of action alone. as he pushed though the plant life following a small trail of blood that he had found. if he didn't hurry the human's would excape and there would be nothing he could do to find them and he wasn't going to allow that to happen. not again and sure enough the brute slid to a stop at the end of the trail still hidden by some plant life and the shadows. but mere feet in front of him stood a semi-young male human holding a weapon. he hadn't of seen or heard the brute's approach so shade still had the element of surpise on his side. at least for now that is but he would have to spring his trap and disarm the human or risk a life threatening injury and if he died where would that leave the pack?.. more importantly where would that leave kishi?.. with him out of the way any male could try and mate with her.
From his vantage point the brute could hear what seeming was a agruement between the human and another human that sat in a big creature and sure enough the the humans went in different directions. perfect.. the human that had harmed his pack member was now alone.. that didn't mean this would be any easier but it did mean that it was now a one on one battle and shade liked those odds. he simply stocked the human for a bit waiting for him to rest or at least put his weapon down. that way it would be a fair fight even if shade still had an advantage being a wolf and all he didn't feel like showing this human any mercy. he and the human seemingly walked for hours but it had only been about twenty minutes. the human had set his rifle down and now it was time for shade to strike.

Kishi breathed a sigh of relief when Frost came bounding out of the foliage, thankfull that it wasn't a human, but that relief was soon swept away by the stricken look on the Shamans face. 'A wolf is unconscious in the river, It's bleeding from its hip. I think its a fae!" Thoughts flew round the faes mind as she took in the horror of what her pack mate had said. Was this a human attack? Of course it was, what else could it be!? What was she going to do now? Kishi was completely lost, she'd never had to deal with this before! In all her life of being an Alpha, she'd dealt with every problem possible, rogues, challenges, attacks, kidnap, but never in her life had she had to deal with human attack! Thankfully, Shade stepped in, seemingly knowing what had to be done.
'Kishi you should go check on the wolf, if anyone here could save the wolf's life its you.' Now usually, the stubborn streak in the fae would rebel against being told what to do by another wolf, but she was so panicked, so confused, that the thought didn't even cross her mind. She just knew he was right, she had to be there, to see what had happened, to help if she could. 'i have some unfinished business to attend to...' Before she could even contemplate asing what he was talking about, the Brute was off, faster than she'd ever seen him run, in the direction of the shots.
The Alphess turned her attention over the Frost. She had alot of confidence in her Shaman, and knew that whatever the issue was, their was a high chance that the silver pelted fae could handle it, somehow. Kishi had no idea what it was she did with those herbs and plants, but somehow, it worked well. And if it had worked well in the past, it should work well now. With that opinion standing solidly in her mind, using it to build up her confidence, Kishi bounded off towards where Frost had come from, beckoning for the fae to follow.
The scent of blood was strong, and Kishi was sure it would attract some unwanted attention, but on the plus side, it guided her on where to go. Sure enough, she found the correct part of the river river, and could recognise the caramel furred femme lying unconsciously anywhere. "Halgea!" the pack Beta.

After striking down the first human the brute heard another gunshot then felt something strike him in his rump. it didn't feel like a bullet and he couldn't smell any new blood so that was good he guessed. But just then all his senses started to go haywire.then he realized what had happened it was a trank dart. it had the same sound as a bullet but only drugged wolves and other animals to make them fall to sleep. his motor functions were begining to fail him the the massive brute laid down near feet from his "victims". he had managed to kill the one who shot him with the dart as well but without help from his pack the brute would be out cold and defenseless for hours if not days depending on the dose of the drug.
Mustering the last of his strength the brute let out an almost disturbing howl. letting his pack mates know that he was in need of their help. after howling for abit the brute's head fell and his eyes closed. if a rival had heard his distress call it could turn out very bad for the brute. but he was other wise powerless to do anything about his situation and really needed his pack. so the howl was worth the risk.

'Kishi dashed over to the fallen femme, wading into the shallows of the river to where she lay. She was no medicine wolf, had little knowledge on injuries, illness and the such, so was completely lost on what to do. Where was the injury? The red fae could see the blood, lots of blood, but could no for the life of her see what the cause of all that blood was. Was it safe to move her? Would she die? Was she even still alive?! With pleading eyes, the alphess looked at her Shaman. "What do we do? Tell me what we need to do!" She begged, sniffing at the air for any signs that the humans were still close by. Whatever it took, she could not bare to see another of her pack taken down by those monsters. The Xyla was like her baby, the one thing she cared for most in the world, and to see its members destroyed would kill her inside.
It was then another gun shot sang through the forest, echoing off of the trees that surrounded their river. The femme froze, a low rumble of a growl emmiting from deep within her chest, the feel of danger in the air making her uneasy. She could smell more despair, more blood, except this time .. it was different? Was it wolf blood, or something else? Kishi couldn't tell, her mind was fuzzy with panick; she couldn't concentrate. She only knew one thing. She was going to have to control herself; take charge of the situation. Afterall, how was a pack supposed to get through these things when their very leader freaked out. The femme composed herself, just as another mournful howl sang out from not far away.
Oh jesus, was that another pack member? Her thoughts focused on Shade for a second, but she quickly dismissed them. He was a warrior, he wouldn't allow himself to get hurt. It had definitely been a cry for help, though. What to do, what to do?! "Frost, is it safe to move Halgea out of the water?" She asked the Shaman, a plan forming out in her head. She'd stay to make sure her beta was Ok, and then she would investigate the other situation.

"What do we do? Tell me what we need to do!" Frost opened her mouth to respond, but then another gunshot sounded in the distance. What was that?! It came from the place the last one came from. Tell me another wolf hasn't gotten itself injured! Then a low, mournful howl came from the area. Great, it WAS another wolf. Why in the world would another wolf go there? Everyone heard the earlier gunshot. Why did she have to deal with two, shot, idiot wolves? One that decided to touch a human, and the other who decided to run toward the last place it was heard. "Frost, is it safe to move Halgea out of the water?" "It should be, just be careful, especially when you drag her injured part out of the water." Frost thought for a bit. Then they would have to clean her, then, if possible, without hurting, remove the bullet. If they couldn't, well, they would have to. Somehow. And then there was the other wolf. She would need to know where it was shot. She would know when she saw it.

'It should be, just be careful, especially when you drag her injured part out of the water.' The femme nodded frantically, her eyes switching back to the fallen Beta. She studied her body quickly, trying her hardest to determine where the injury was. There! She saw it; just. A gunshot wound, in her hip. It looked pretty bad, even from Kishis untrained eye. The blood was still flowing freely, making the usually clear river run red, creating a sickly smell in the air. Usually, the fae could tolerate the scent of blood, but when it came from a member of her pack, it did nothing but set a sick feeling into her stomach.
Kishi waded into the water, having to put alot of work in in order to move against the surprisingly strong flow. She nudged Halgeas head slightly, and then motioned for some help from her Shaman. Helgea was a fully grown wolf, it would take more than just her to move her. A plan expanded in her head, she would help her Betan first, get her out of the water, help Frost in any way she could, and then go after Shade, make sure he hadn't got himself into any more damn trouble. With that in mind, she began in her attempt to drag the fae out of the water.

Some strength had returned to the brute's body. as he slowly forced himself off the ground. he thought to himself for a second. "are the drugs wearing off?...". Sadly the answer was no but something else had given the brute another serge of power. but he couldn't quite figure out what it was. the brute weakly shook his head and grabbed what the human had been holding in his hand. one of them had called it a radio and shade definitely had heard voices coming from it. so it was best not to leave this laying around for the humans to find. he slowly started making his way toward the river although the drugs were still weakening his senses the brute broke out into a weak run. barely dodging tree after tree vine after vine as he picked up his alphess's scent.
his eye sight was weakening again but his sense of smell seemed to be unaffected, At least for now that is as he continued to push himself further in an attempt to reach his pack members knowing that their attention would most likely still be on the first victom of the humans's weapons. not that this bothered him after all he was the one who told kishi to go with the fae to check out the damage. and surprisingly! she had listened to him!.. that was something the brute was not going to let his alphess live down. he would continually push his luck by teasing her with it when all of this was over. as he neared the river where the others were he could hear them still planning on how they were to save the fallen wolf.
With his weakened eyesight shade did not see the vine that laid in his very path. as he went to run over it the vine tripped the brute sending him rolling end over end. as he tumbled out of the woods and ended up rolling to a stop just before his alphess. the brute was once again knocked out as the radio slid from his mouth. surely the pack had never seen the warrior brute that laid before them in this kind of shape before. that is because this is the first time the humans had actually managed to damage the brute. the dart was still somehow in the brute's rump, as it was very noticeable against the brute's raven black pelt. plus it had a lil red plume attached at the end.

Kishi dragged the wolf out of the water. Now, how could she get the bullet out without significant damage? Hmm... See the wound better, that's for sure. Frost started licking the blood away until the flow had lessened a bit. Yup. There it was. It wasn't in deep, and the wound was small. That was the problem. There was no room to get it out. But what if... "Keep licking her." Frost went a few paces upstream and washed herself, making sure the blood was off of her muzzle and paws. She trotted back. This better work. "Okay, I'm going to try to get the bullet out. She stuck a small claw into the tiny hole and pushed outward when she touched the ball. Then, she flicked the bullet out and carefully, but quickly drew her claw out. The bullet landed right outside the wound and rolled off into the dirt. Frost buried it as deep as she could when she was in a hurry and started licking the bleeding hole, which was worse now. Well, there's less of a chance of infection, and less of a chance she'll always have a bullet stuck in her. Now that this wolf's out of the way, well, out of immediate deadly, exceedingly hard to cure danger, I'll have to take care of idiot number two.

'Kishi..am I here in time? I ran as fast as I could, the humans, they had a crashed white thing with wings... I don't know what it was, Its wings were not like a birds, they were kind of... metal... plastic... I am sure that it was an accident... sorry I was gone so long... I am so sorry Kishi, I should have been faster... so sorry... sorry...' The femme looked down at the Betan, lying sorrowfully before her. She nodded reasuringly, completely hiding the alarm bells that her words caused inside of her mind, "Of course you are, couldn't start the meeting without you now, could we?" She said softly, eyes wide. A white thing with wings? What on earth was she talking about!? Perhaps the pain she must be going through had hurt her in the head? No, she mustn't start thinking like that. Helgea was the pack Betan, and 'Kishi had the uppermost faith in her.
Frost did her medical thing, whatever that was, and the told Kishi to keep licking the wound, presumably to ceas the bleeding. The Alphess did as she was told, even though the taste made her stomach turn nastily. Then Frost did something Kishi had never, ever seen before in her life. She inserted a claw into the injury, and flicked something out of it, quickly burying whatever that something was before the femme could get a proper look.
'Kishi was about to comment, but then something else happened. Shade came stumbling out of the surroundign foliage, and then fell to the ground, next to the Betan fae. Oh god, the femme thought, Should've known he'd get himself into trouble. With that in mind, she nudged the unconscious warrior cautiously with her paw.

Frost licked more blood from the unconscious wolf. There as a rustling of leaves, and Shade staggered in, and passed out. And here he is, the second idiot who decided to approach the humans. Frost sighed, and washed herself in the river again. Then looked at him. A small, red thing stuck out from his rump. It reeked of human. Okay, remove the thing, see if he's damaged, treat him if he is, and tell Kishi to lick Halgea while she check out Shade. Quietly she prayed that no other wolves would decide to strut into the area with the humans.

The brute's eyes opened as he slowly forced himself up off the ground, His legs still abit shaky from the drugs but the brute soon found his balance and glanced over at his alphess. While the brute had gotten up on his own, it was still very clear that he was in no shape to fight or defend anyone from either wolves or humans.but something was on his mind and it could not wait until he was checked out. the brute couldn't careless if he was still weakened or not as he leaned down nudging the radio toward his alphess, just as another voice came from it the brute titled his head then looked back at his alphess as he said with an almost deadly tone. " They're back...and this time... its going to be war..". the brute padded alil away from the group before looking back at his alphess. "where have all the good warriors gone?..". He then turned his attention to the shaman of the pack as he shook his head." And where are all the gods.."
This was clearly very personal for the brute through it had to be something that had happened before he had been able to rejoin the xyla pack again. but that didn't stop his rage from taking control of his body as the brute started to growl softly staring at the ground the drugs clearly having very lil effect if any on the brute now. He only had one thing on his mind now and unlike the others it was not about mating. This was about...Pay back!... He would teach the humans a very painful lesson for coming onto his lands and harming one of his pack members!.. even his hatred for the skyla male kaija didn't seem to be able to compare to his out right rage for the humans. the brute stumbled abit but refused to go down to the ground as he looked up at the sky, he wanted to just run off and take on the humans all by himself but he knew that with their weapons he would stand no chance... no chance at all."wheres the hero..to fight the rising odds?..".he said softly looking down to the ground.
The male looked over at his alphess and his shaman then at the fallen wolf, they had to be concerned but they must of known that he had spoken the truth,he looked away and sighed deeply as he slowly started to pad toward his alphess once more this time he gently rubbed against her as he sighed again before speaking. " I'm sorry for my outburst... its just...i hate this feeling.. i hate not be able to do anything about something.. it drives me insane..". and with that said the brute stepped back and awaited his alphess's judgement.

'They're back...and this time... its going to be war.. where have all the good warriors gone? And where are all the gods..wheres the hero..to fight the rising odds?' What on earth was he talking about? Had the Brute gone mad, or was this some sort of stupid joke? 'Kishi shot a worried glance at the medicine wolf stood next to her, secretly wondering if she was hearing his strange banter too, or whether her mind had finally caved in and she was imagining weird things. It wouldn't really come as a surprise if that were the case. The Brute wandered around a tiny bit, before stopping again.
'I'm sorry for my outburst... its just...i hate this feeling.. i hate not be able to do anything about something.. it drives me insane.' The Alphess stared at him, one eyebrow quirking curiously. Had he gone crazy, or had the humans done something to him to make him act this way? She'd seen Frost take something from his rump, a red thing; pointy, but again Kishi hadn't known what it was. She'd not experianced this before, the time of the humans invading these lands had been well before she was born. "Uhm, right, are you Ok?" She said uncertainly, not quite sure what to make of his small outburst.
The femme turned her attention back to the fallen Beta, observing Helgeas state. She was conscious, atleast, which was always a good sign, but her side was still bleeding, and Kishi questioned in her mind whether the femme would be able to walk or not. She was the Alphess though, she had to take charge of the situation; it was her job. And to stand here bewildered over what to do would not look good. So she put on a brave act, as if she now knew what she was doing, even though she was terrified inside. "Right, first priority; we get Helgea somewhere safe, where she cannot be harmed be either human or wolf. Then, I will work out what our next actions will be."

The brute looked at them then took another step out away from the group before positioning himself just right. then he looked up to the sky and let out a very loud and very scary howl. Scarey enough to send chills up the even most veteran warrior, but his intend was clear enough he was warning the humans that this land did indeed belong to the wolves and their nature kin and the humans would not be allowed to take over or even remotely stay put on Kongrai.
He then padded back to the group before lowering his body as if offering to carry the injured fae to safety, he glanced over at his alphess a soft grin on his maw as he spoke. "Oh and i know what your thinking and i'm not crazy, you can't hide most things from me kishi we've know each other for to long for you to do so."
As he awaited them to load the fae onto his back the brute watched the sky, chuckling softly at how free the clouds seemed to be then again no one was truly free, Mother nature and father time had a plan for everyone and everything. From the smallest grain of sand to the biggest mountain, from the smallest ant to the largest sperm whale, everything had a part to play in the game called life, all the brute knew was that his part in that game, he cast his eyes back over to his alphess, was to protect her and the pack, he looked away before she could notice, of course he had to protect the whole pack as well.
But no one meant more to him then that Mexican fae that stood mere feet away from him, "She can think its the mating season all she wants.. i know how i feel.." the brute thought as he chuckled to himself lightly. he sighed deeply before speaking once more even though he knew what he was going to say would get him strange looks and maybe a shocked expression or two. "Maybe...maybe we should warn the other packs.."

"No!" Halgea said. She knew it was only the two. She had smelled a lot of ash and smoke on them and now that her head was more clear, she had better judgment now. It had been a helicopter and/or a plane. The only reason she knew that was because of a memory from puppy-hood. "Look, Halli! Its a birdy!!!" Her brother LoneDrop had said."No LoneDrop, that is called a helicopter!" Her mother replied. From then on Halgea had studied the humans and their societies. "It was a two seater airplane which means that it was probably a crash on their way to a different hunting site. No need for an over reaction... although you could check it out, if that is okay with Kishi."
