Halgea was excited to hold her first pack meeting as Alphess. The meeting with Kishi had left her shaken, and she wasn't sure how certain members (Shade) would react to someone they didn't loove in the position of power (hypothetically). Also she was somewhat young, an adult, but not a very old one. Was she wise enough? No, she couldn't think like that. She would devote the rest of her life to this pack if that's what it took. No one would get in her way. If this pack went down, she would bring it right back up. She felt childish and idealistic thinking this, but she felt unstoppable. But no one is invulnerable. She would do her very best, she thought. She walked slowly and confidently to the lake, where the meeting would take place, on the shore. The water of the lake rippled as she approached, as if sensing her excitement, and she sat on a ridge to stare upon the almost flawless mirror like green water. A soft breeze rolled across the lake and wafted through the long grasses as it gently shook several orange and red leaves off the surrounding trees. She groaned in satisfaction. Then, she howled. It started soft, and then got louder and louder so all in her territory could hear the call for the meeting. She reminded herself. She didn't take this position for power, but for the welfare of her pack. Excitement overwhelmed her as she sat in wait for the first arrivals.

Frost lifted her head. Halgea had howled for a pack meeting. Nearby her den. She took off at a faster pace. She would stop by the den since it didn't seem far off, and check on Oak and the pups, before going. She had been gone for a while attending to the lon-Satarah's call. They would be squealing again for her. Her heart softened a bit thinking of them. They would have to wait though. She wondered why she had called. Her light paws sent her through the trees quickly, as she twisted and turned. Was there a problem? That's normally what pack meetings were for. Or maybe a hunt. That would be the alphas' job though. Then she remembered. Kishi wasn't the alphess anymore. That was probably why. If that was it, there wouldn't be much to worry about. She slowed her pace as she neared the den. The smell of Oak and the pups. She turned around. The den faced the calm water. She went down a bit and saw Oak with the pups. She wagged her tail as she saw them and licked him.

"Blizzard, stop biting my paw!" Oak exclaimed. He'd had worse, but he didn't want his little ones biting the alphess the first time they met, so he scolded the biting on him. Instead they played with each other and branches. So... Much... YIPPING!!! "Aspen, don't hurt your sister." The two were playing especially roughly. Maple, the female was winning, and Aspen was desperately trying to regain power, resorting to biting her leg/foot. Aspen yelped as his sister nipped his neck, unfazed. "You two, take a break from sparring, please? Frost was a welcome scent at that moment and he poked his head out of the den to beckon her with his eyes. The pups were a tad out of control. Once she was in, he asked, "What was that loner needing?" They had spoken about the snowy white loner before, Frost hated her. "Also, any idea what the meeting was about?"

Frost smiled as she saw the pups acted crazy. She probably was that energetic back then too. She turned her attention back to Oak. "She had a friend who was wounded." She replied to his first question. She had decided that she wasn't intolerable, she was nice enough, but Frost did not like the way she constantly strutted in and out of their lands. At least this time she had a good reason. She addressed the second question. "No, but it might have something to do with Halgea being the new alphess. Kishi stepped down. There is probably something a bit more than that though." She squished past him and plucked Maple from her brother, who twisted and wriggled. She had noticed a bit of his distress earlier. "Have they been a problem?"

Frost's smile warmed Oaks heart, and he watched her intently as she answered his first question. "She had a friend that was wounded." She used a voice he couldn't quite define. She didn't spit the words out contemptuously, though she didn't act like she liked the loner either. Maybe it was how it sounded, neutral. He doubted it. To his second inquiry she answered, "No, but it might have something to do with Halgea being the new alphess. Kishi stepped down. There is probably something more to that though." Oak thought a moment. Was it a matter of safety? Were the pups in danger? What about Frost? Would she be in danger? A thousand questions crashed into his mind. He would have to be patient. "Have they been a problem?" She asked, interrupting his thoughts. "Well, I think they have a thing about feet, but other than that, nope. I'll deal."

Tongue lolling out of his mouth like that of a content dog, Koiro rolled his back over the long, fresh smelling grass. He was in a good mood, and rolling around in over grown grass like a young puppy was one of the Brutes favourite past times. Of course, he would never do so in front of company, for that could very easily compromise the whole mature aspect he had going with his image. Mature wolves did not roll around in long grass. At least, not in public, anyway. But heck, their was no one around, why shouldn't he enjoy himself abit? Koiro shifted his position slightly, rubbing his back against the ground and rolling around some more, enjoying the feel of the seperate blades of grass hitting his nose, running through his fur.
A rustling up ahead caught his attention, and he twisted his body round with curiosity, focusing his eyes on the accused noise maker. It was a small rabbit, seemingly oblivious to his presence, or just incredibly cocky, thinking it could shuffle so close to him without being mauled to death. He wasn't particularly hungry, nor did he feel the need to hunt down and kill the pest without valid reason. It was, however, beginning to irritate him. Why was this rabbit not bothered by his presence? The distance between them was tiny, and a simply lunge could quite easily wrid the bunny of its miserable, fluffy little life. Maybe he should make a grab for it? Teach it a valuable life lesson, perhaps?
Shortly after making the half hearted decision to wrid himself of the pesky rabbit, however, a long howl echoed across the field, gradually getting louder until finally fading away again. This was enough to scare the rabbit, who darted off at a speed that shocked Koiro. Gosh that little creature could run! He watched the bunny disappear, before standing up and stretching, heading off in the direction of the call. Halgea was summoning the Xyla to a pack meeting. The male had a vague idea of what this was going to be about, even though he had been told nothing of the event by any of the pack members. Whisperings over the territory had been speaking of Kishi stepping down from her position, leaving Halgea in her place as Alphess. This, for some reason, did not surprise him in the slightest, and whatever his mothers actions had been, he would respect them and not make a fuss.
At a fast pace, the trot to the beach did not take long, and sure enough, the Brute soon spotted Halgea along the shoreline, awaiting their arrival. He padded over to her, a soft grin on his maw with tongue hanging out in a relaxed manner, and greeted his new Alphess with a nod of respect.

her midnight orbs glanced upon chii as she slept, but it wasnt long before a small growl greeted satarah. her ear flattened slightly embarrassed at her own stomach growl although it didnt appear anyone was around besides the sleeping fae. i really need to eat more frequently or im not going to make it through winter she thought to herself. looking around for something easy it occured to her something easy would be unlikely... with a deep sigh she began to wander the xyla territory looking for something small but big enough to share with chii if she woke up, or to offer to one of pack members if they came by.
it wasnt long before she heard a howl not to far away calling for the pack members, which she wasnt.. however if there was something wrong she could help. it was the least she could do after everything they did for her, but what if it was something she really wasnt meant to be apart of. she knew showing up like this was offensive to some of the pack wolves, but the first time shade said if she was ever around stop by, and this time it was an emergency. with the way they acted though she could tell she wasnt particularly welcomed... sitting she sighed again this time in a depressed way trying to think of what to do. maybe she could just peak and see if there was trouble and if not she would leave them to there duty? yes! that worked so she trotted quietly closer. only to be startled by a rabbit darting passed her. Darn! that would have been perfect she thought as she took a double take wanted to chase after the critter, but stopping herself. thats when she caught scent of someone familiar. koiro, he was friendly when i last was here a small smile formed on her maw as she felt a little more comfortable moving closer.
finally she reached the group but she didnt show herself, just sat at the back and listened. there she would stay unless invited closer or told to leave.

After her morning with her beloved Raphin crystal decided to go and seek out her old friend satarah after all if it was not for her then she would not of met him and she would not be carrying a litter of pups right now nor would she be as happy as she was. But she was curious why her friend's scent would lead into the land that was clearly claimed by the xyla pack. She understood that they were more peaceiful then their neighbors but she still didn't trust them all that much and that was something she was going to have to get over if she ever hoped to join them or another pack.
The further she traveled into the territory she could hear wolves muttering about themselves in a clearing not to far away. Perhaps it was their densite or the leaders had called a meeting?. but what really threw her for a loop was that satarah's scent was coming from the same direction!. did they catch her or did something worse happen not like she was in any shape to do anything about it and without raphin here to protect her. if Satarah was in bad shape with the pack then she would be soon as well. But she couldn't let herself think about that to much as she pushed on toward the pack and it was easy to tell that she was nervous as she had ever been before.
As she pushed though a line of under brush she finally saw her friend Satarah and she was indeed with the xyla pack but clearly she hadn't joined them yet because her scent was still vastly different from theirs not that that mattered at the moment. In typical crystal fashion she had rushed into something without any backup what so ever and now not only was she risking her own life but the life of the pups inside of her as well. she had no doubt that if something did happen that Raphin would make the xyla pay but even then it'd be to late to undo the damage. She hunkered down by a tree unaware the wind was working against her and proceeded to watch the meeting.

"Okay then. I'm going to go to the meeting." She slipped past him and out of the den, into the fresh air. Frost loved the fresh air, however... Satarah was here. What joy. She shook her head at the thoughts. It wasn't her place to judge whether loners walked in or not. Her light paws brought her quickly to Halgea. She had never been one for much respect, but she bowed her head to the new alphess. That was all she was getting out of Frost. She glanced back at her den. It was still in sight. Her head turned back to the brown fae, and she sat down. If she wanted to mention the loner at the pack meeting, that was her choice. If she didn't, then this fae would. She shook those thoughts off. Unfriendliness would get you nowhere in life. Wait, scratch that. Unfriendliness would get you stuck in a ditch. Her thoughts turned to her family. Oak might come to the meeting, might not. He probably would, since he was part of the pack and wanted to know what's going on. He might not though, since Frost would tell him everything and he could keep a close watch on the pups. Of course, the meeting area wasn't very far from the den, they could still watch the entrance to make sure nothing got in, or out, that wasn't supposed to. Whatever. It was Oak's decision. She seemed to be shrugging off her thoughts on other wolves. Weird... It was Oak's decision with what to do with himself and the pack meeting, and she had become more friendly with the loner... Still, she was normally one for action not thoughts. Must've been the pups and some stress with everything happening.

Halgea watched as Koiro arrived, then a loner, then another loner (what was up with this? Jeez.), and lastly Frost. She wondered if Shade and Kishi would even bother coming... She knew Shade didn't like her, and to be honest, most wolves probably didn't after the human thing. Was Oak coming? She didn't know if he even could, she was sure the pups kept his hands full. Fortunately, she now had power. She would do this smoothly, happily, and respectfully, even if the alpha and the former alpha didn't show. Good, Koiro was fine with it. He looked giddy, in fact, it was somewhat funny. His tongue lolled out of his mouth like a rag doll and he greeted her by nodding respectfully. "Welcome, Koiro," She said, attempting a welcoming tone. "Frost," the fae looked like she had something on her mind, and Halgea worried about how she and Oak were holding up with the pups. Halgea hoped more wolves would come, but at least she could address part of her new pack, make sure everyone is on the same page.

Crystal actually seemed relaxed which was rare these days when she was out away from her den especially without Raphin around to protect her. but this place seemed to be safe enough for the time being the pack didn't seem to notice her to much or they didn't care enough to check out the lone shewolf which was just fine by her. thats when the strangest thing started to happen she heard something rustle the bush to her left and when she looked over she could of swore that she saw her ex-mate Rowan standing a few feet away but that was impossible sense she had been there when he had passed away. When she blinked it appeared to be over because the mysterious figure had completely disappeared. but that was far from the truth as she suddenly felt a cold breeze pass over her rump which caused the already pregnant fae to freak out and jerk foward.
As she did so she turned to face her hiding spot with a look of horror and fear in her eyes. The fact that there was a pack behind her had totally faded from her mind at the moment as she continued to back instinctively away from the grouping of bushes. She had no idea what she had seen and she wasn't taking any chances she raised her snout to skyward and attempted to howl to summon her mate but no sound came out. The fear racing though her heart had choked her up and rendered her unable to call out for help. Her whole body was just in a state of utter shock and disbelief at what had just happened. Just then she shook her head trying to convince herself that she was just seeing things that were't there. which was harder said then done but after sometime she managed to calm herself down. But she was not prepared for the sight that met her when she turned around to pad away. She was alot closer to the pack then she had been before she was almost among them and this did not sit well with the usually shy fae. Her eyes widened once more and the only sound that came from her was an audioable gulping sound as fear once more took ahold of her whole body. She had no idea what these wolves would do or how they would react and she was all alone, well that wasn't completely true, her friend was still there but still they were still outnumbered.

'Welcome, Koiro.'
Koiro nodded once more, "Alphess." before looking over to see who the other wolves arriving were. Frost padded over to them, which took Korio by slight surprise. He'd have thought she'd have stayed with the pups, or to rest, being a new mother. Then again, Frost had never really been one to follow routinely expectations, if that was the word, and he'd imagine she'd want to have some say in what was going to go off today. The Shaman looked good, if a little tired, to say she'd recently given birth, and Koiro greeted her with a friendly nod.
And then the loners began to arrive. Two of them, to be precise, although both kept their distance, only just making themselves known. One he recognised as the young white fae who he had met before, friendly little thing she was. The other, though, he did not recognise, and that fact made him feel slightly uneasy. Why were they here? The young brute looked to Halgea, to see her reaction.

Halgea was amazed at the audacity! Two loners... At a pack meeting It was just so... So RUDE! They just show up and expect everything to be hunky dory. Ugh. Well, she had been planning on addressing that. Kinda. Have they even heard of borders, or do they understand the idea of being a loner? She couldn't say this to their face, no, she would have to respectfully tell them to join or GET OUT. By the way Frost acted around them she was fairly sure it was with pack interest. She expected Koiro wouldn't really care either way since he was pretty laid back... Alright, might as well start. She looked around at everyone, her stare lingering on the loner who then spoke, "I'm sure many of you are wondering why so many loners, have been coming and going, me in particular... my reasonings are simply for the longing of pack life, and I am drawn to this... Family more then the others. I would just like to say I am grateful for everything you all have done for me and i hope one day i can return the favor, and maybe one day become part of your family, and possibly bring my smaller, beginning family to join yours" She watched, waiting for the response to this. Halgea really hoped she didn't come off aggressively, she just wanted them out! She wondered if she was allowed to say this without Shade's consent, but at the moment, she didn't really care. "We are happy to accept new members and your reason is heartwarming, but personally I would prefer if you either joined or left. You may come back later if you so wish, but please, the borders are there for a reason. If my fellow pack members agree I think this is what shall happen." "Another thing I was hoping to address was storing food for winter, and other basic preparations. Fatten up and get ready, it's coming... What do you think, do tell?" She asked finally. She'd had this in the back of her mind for a while just not given it much thought.

"I see congrats are in order, my friend you have been very busy"
"Thank you..my friend.." she said as she gently nuzzled her on the fae before her before backing away to listen to all that was going on, her friend tried to explain why they were here or atleast why she had come here and joined a pack meeting, Thats when something clicked in Cystal's head something that she had seen on her travels to make it to the meeting, She had seen what seemed to be a stand off between who she assumed at that time was the alphess,An xyla warrior and A skyla male and a rogue fae, but now she could clearly tell that the xyla fae she saw wasn't the alphess but she still had a duty to inform the pack of the situation.
"We are happy to accept new members and your reason is heartwarming, but personally I would prefer if you either joined or left. You may come back later if you so wish, but please, the borders are there for a reason. If my fellow pack members agree I think this is what shall happen."
She listened to the fae's words and almost instantly knew she was the alphess but she was not about to back down when others might of been in trouble, She allowed the alphess to finish what she was saying before stepping back up to her friend's side and took a deep breathe before deciding to speak up for herself. her voice was sweet and void of any thing that could of been assumed threatening,"Well ma'am, Unlike my friend here i actually come with some news that you might find interesting, Not to far from here there seems to be a stand off"she paused for a moment to really collect her thoughts and her breathe as she could feel her anger starting to bubble up but she forced it back down as she looked around at the pack then back at the alphess. "i'm telling you this because two of the wolves involved belong to your pack, you may want to send backup if you can before things get out of hand but if you refuse to do take any action to help them then...."
She looked back at her friend knowing that she would not like what she was about to say, mainly because of the conidition that she found herself in, she had her own family to think of but crystal's warrior spirit would not allow her to sit back and do nothing, She looked back at the alphess this time with a very determined look in her eyes as they narrowed abit just so show how serious she was about the matter."Then i will"

She could see why this fae would want to be part of the pack, and why she still enjoyed the freedoms of a loner, but she couldn't. Honestly, part of her would prefer it if Satarah would just stay a loner. Stay out of their territory, and stay a loner. Life was already crazy as is, there wasn't much need to add in a loner who had enjoyed galavanting freely in and out of well-kept borders. "We are happy to accept new members and your reason is heartwarming, but personally I would prefer if you either joined or left. You may come back later if you so wish, but please, the borders are there for a reason. If my fellow pack members agree I think this is what shall happen." Yes, this was exactly was she thought! Frost didn't say anything, but she definitely agreed, and was pretty sure Halgea knew her opinion. She lay down and lay her head on her paws. She had not much to say, just listen. "Well ma'am, Unlike my friend here I actually come with some news that you might find interesting, Not to far from here there seems to be a stand off. I'm telling you this because two of the wolves involved belong to your pack, you may want to send backup if you can before things get out of hand but if you refuse to do take any action to help them then...." The loner, who had seemed terrified before looked at the other loner. "Then I will" There was something happening with some Xyla wolves? Where? And who? She lifted her head to see how Halgea responded.

thinking about that violent brute made her lips curl and her fur bristle. his addiction to wolves flesh, cannibal insanity, and that blood stained pelt and red eyes. it wasnt long before she could smell the alpha and his lady and she went straight to them. in her mind she would always think of kishi as this lands alphess but she could accept helgea but it would take getting use to but she would respect them both, and everyone here.

We are happy to accept new members and your reason is heartwarming, but personally I would prefer if you either joined or left. You may come back later if you so wish, but please, the borders are there for a reason. If my fellow pack members agree I think this is what shall happen. Another thing I was hoping to address was storing food for winter, and other basic preparations. Fatten up and get ready, it's coming... What do you think, do tell?'
The body language of the other pack wolves, including Alphess Helgea, made it fairly clear that the loners were unwelcome in the lands unless they were willing to join, and it was evident from the faint epression on Frosts features that she agreed with everything the new alphess had said. Koiro himself wasn't particularly fussed either way, although it would put the Xyla back at ease if they actually knew what was going on between these loners. The pair seemed to know eachother, something that the settled uneasily with the male. Satarah, the white femme, seemed ok enough, and he had no issue with her, even if the pack shaman seemed to have taken a dislike towards her. It was the other loner that made him feel nervous. The swell of her stomach cried pregnancy, and the scent mixed with her own told of another male, a mate. Why was he not here? Why would a lone, pregnant fae venture into pack lands unprotected? The brute sniffed the air, but found no evidence that the girls mate was around. It just didn't sit right with him.
'Well ma'am, Unlike my friend here I actually come with some news that you might find interesting, Not to far from here there seems to be a stand off. I'm telling you this because two of the wolves involved belong to your pack, you may want to send backup if you can before things get out of hand but if you refuse to do take any action to help them then... then i will.'
Koiro snorted, not quite catching on that the only two xyla wolves she was speeking of were the only two that were not currently present.. one of which being his own mother. I dont really think it in your best interest to be interfering with pack disputes, loner. He said calmly, not intending his words to sound as rude as they had, and immedietly feeling bad for sounding so harsh. Still, it was discraceful that she would propose that the pack wouldn't send help for their own members, and the fact that she was ready to charge into battle to protect their members? It was brave, and he should have been grateful for this, but for some reason, it just irritated the male.
'shade and kishi!...'
Satarahs words soon hit home, and his head immediately rose, swiveling to look at the fae and then to his alphess, ears pricking upwards with urgancy. How had he not realised who the wolves that were spoken of exactly were?! Satarah ran off, seemingly in the direction of where the confrontation was taking place, and the need to run after her, to run to his mothers side and protect her was almost unbearable.. but he couldn't. Not without the permission of his leader to leave the pack meeting. Koiro watched Halgea with antisipation, frantically waiting to hear what her response to this news was.

Halgea was many things but she was not cruel! This wolf had taken the incentive to come tell her and she felt like giving her all the meat she could find. Halgea's mind raced... Who - It didn't take long to figure it out. Shade and Kishi weren't there yet! "I don't really think it in your best interest to be interfering with pack disputes, loner." Koiro said calmly, steadily. Halgea envied his uncanny ability to stay calm at a time when the alphess was frantic "Shade and Kishi..." Satarah muttered, then ran off into the distance, most likely towards the fight. The strong leader/diplomat act was gone. Realization dimmed her sense of rationality. She wanted to end it, to save Kishi, the litter, and even Shade in the next five minutes, just have it be over... Okay, she actually wanted to go catatonic right about now, but she couldn't. Koiro and Frost looked at her expectantly, waiting to hear her reaction, to let them leave. She looked straight at the loner and said, "Thank you. You came and told me about this and for that I am grateful. This is something the pack must figure out immediately... You, loner, should go back to your mate and den and stay safe. I don't want something happening to you, too, who has done us such a great service. Your help is very much appreciated." She paused, then looked at Koiro and Frost. She continued, "I will stop this meeting for now so we can go take care of this... We just need to face this. We cannot afford to lose two members of the pack now, not before winter... Those two are valued. We will leave now. Goodbye, loners." She turned and ran the same way as the white fae.

Koiro could now understand exactly why his mother had chosen Halgea to take over her role as Alphess. The Fae had handled that situation with a firm, assertive yet calm and caring approach, showing her gratitude at the same time as politely turfing the loner off of the Xyla lands. Halgea may have been fretting inside, heck, she may even have been frantic, but no one would be able to tell from the outside. From the outside, she looked as though she had everything under control, leaving Koiro with some new found respect for his Alphess. He flickered his eyes towards the lone femme, awaiting for her to leave, and then back to his leader as she spoke once more, this time directing her words at him and his pack mate.
'I will stop this meeting for now so we can go take care of this... We just need to face this. We cannot afford to lose two members of the pack now, not before winter... Those two are valued. We will leave now. Goodbye, loners.'
With that, she ran off in the same direction as Satarah, leaving Koiro and Frost in the company of the one remaining loner, and giving them permission to leave. The Brute threw one last neutral look at the outsider, before racing off in pursuit with an enthusiastic snarl, running to the aid of his mother and pack Seniors.
[Exit koiro.]

Frost watched as the three wolves ran off, to where Shade and Kishi seemed to be. What were Shade and Kishi doing? And what was with the short meeting? Okay, there was an emergency, but still, she had been expecting something more. More than just a loner popping in and saying that there was something going on. How did she know anyway? Did she run in, see it, decide to run all the way to the pack meeting, to ask for help, then threaten to fix it herself, if the pack didn't want to? She sighed. She might have been just irritated over all of the loners and the issue. Maybe. She lifted her body up and looked back at the last wolf, the loner she didn't know. Her gaze didn't suggest anything, while she was a bit annoyed at this fae. For being a loner and having her words, in their meeting. Her head turned back, and she trotted back to her den, to tell Oak what had happened.

Oak had been trying to wrangle the pups to get a word in about maybe sleeping... This got him no where of course, and he eventually gave up as he knew the impossibility of this task, and soon he could hear Frost pad into the den. He said nothing, since he could sense her tension. The pups weren't as smart, though. "Mother!!!" Aspen yelled out, so loudly he probably woke up any relatively sleepy thing within a fifty mile radius. He then proceeded to attack her feet with his brother. They subsided as she laid down, and Oak gave her a sympathetic look. They were back to playing around his head and occasionally biting his ears, yet he just glared into the middle distance... What was to be done with these hyper balls of... Hyperness? Hopefully they would realize a few things soon (months from now) about how to act towards your elders. Hopefully. "Food, father?" Aspen asked, almost as loud as his last shout. "You ate just a bit ago. You don't need any more. Especially since it's almost winter, we must conserve resources, Aspen." The reply was visibly disappointing but he got over it quick and began working away at a stick in the corner. Oak timidly walked to a pile of corpses just outside in a small nook and grabbed a couple squirrels for Frost. She did need some sustenance. He offered it to her and then laid down next to her.

Frost smile as her pups attacked her. She nudged them away and lay down inside her den. They were so ignorant of what was happening in the pack. She wanted to keep it that way, for a long time. She licked Oak as he got up, and left the den for a bit. The pups left him and started working on their own activities. Maple set out to steal Aspen's stick, and Blizzard was digging, dirt flying. They were getting big for the den. Sooner or later, they'd move out, and they would be much more entertained outside.
She looked up as Oak entered with the squirrels. Her tail waved, and she took one. Maple abandoned Aspen to snatch another one, before disappearing to a corner of the den. The white fae bit down on the squirrel and thought about what to tell her mate. Probably the short, simple, truth. She'd try not to make it biased. When she finished, she licked the excess blood off her lips, and left the bones where they were, for the moment.
Koiro was the only pack member who showed up, she began. Two loners also came. Halgea told them to join Xyla, or leave. One of them said she wanted to join. The other... Said something about something happening, involving two pack members. The first one said something about Shade and Kishi, then dashed off. Koiro and Halgea ran after.
Really? I wonder what's happening. Frost's head jerked up, then she remembered that voice. Depths. Somewhere in the lake, eavesdropping. Oh well. She decided not to answer him, and looked back at Oak.

Frost tore into the squirrel the pups acted as crazed as always and she stayed in what looked like very deep thought. Oak could tell she was slightly stressed and slightly confused, but not terribly so he need not worry. She was good at keeping her cool, and so was he.
"Koiro was the only pack member who showed up," Frost began. "Two loners also came. Halgea told them to join Xyla, or leave. One of them said she wanted to join. The other... Said something about something happening, involving two pack members. The first one said something about Shade and Kishi, then dashed off. Koiro and Halgea ran after." For a moment after saying this she looked around, then brought her gaze back to him.
Oak thought about the recent events, trying to figure out where this whole thing was going. He didn't know any of this pack very well and they seemed very dramatic, having their hands in too many things. He couldn't help but wonder how things were unfolding in the thing the alpha was involved in, but decided he shouldn't go get involved himself, risking his other eye was not desirable.
"It seems as if those loners don't know a pack meeting is for the pack. Sure, we appreciate the news but why can't we have a better force keeping loners out!? Normally you'd risk your life every time you went near a pack and now you just walk in and say casual hello goodbyes?" He realized the pups were staring at him... What ever happened to keeping his cool? "Did they at least bring the two members in danger up respectfully?" He asked, sounding resigned.

"It seems as if those loners don't know a pack meeting is for the pack. Sure, we appreciate the news but why can't we have a better force keeping loners out!? Normally you'd risk your life every time you went near a pack and now you just walk in and say casual hello goodbyes?" Frost nodded in agreement. That was exactly what she thought, but she didn't say any more with the pups watching. Her mate normally kept his emotions under control, but she understood. They didn't even know what was happening, and everything was out of control. Or at least, their control.
"Did they at least bring the two members in danger up respectfully?" The fae's head shook. She honestly would have wanted to know who they were too. It was such a shame, she didn't even know what was happening in her own territory. She didn't even have control over who went in and out of it! What kind of a pack was that?! One where the members are less-informed and less powerful than the random loners that popped in? She felt annoyance, but she had run over these thoughts for so long, she had become used to it. She was used to the powerlessness too. She hated it, and wasn't going to show any approval either, but she wasn't going to do anything else.
Frost glanced at the pups, who had mostly lost interest in their parents' long thoughts and conversation, but Blizzard was still listening. He tried not to look like it though. She wanted to put them outside, but they hadn't been out past the entrance. Putting them out now would take too long. Anyway... A memory blinked through her mind. The humans. What they would do when they saw her pups, she wouldn't dare think of. Instead, she sent a meaningful glance at Blizzard, who turned away.
She thought of something to say, but there wasn't any one thing she felt like voicing. Instead, she looked back at Oak to see his reaction.
