What a horrendous season.
In autumn, the wolves of Kongrai could not think clearly when simply casting a gaze at the opposite gender. It took a lot to fight the urges, desires, and impulses. Some fail to fight them. The busy Skyla alphess on the other hand, had managed well. At least, she had been. She was now alone, her usual, frozen heart began to thaw to the thought of her beloved mate, Kaija. They were so busy lately with there pack, that they didn't have time to be with each other. Intruders, disobediant children, rule-breaking members-they had so much to do. Now, things seemed to settle down. The intruders were driven away, her children safe in the boundaries of there territory, and her pack members were either punished, or sent off with orders to do. Now, for the first time in weeks, Senna had no business to attend to. Her borders were patrolled, scent markings were made-everything seemed to be taken care of.
The stars twinkled like bright fireflies in the vast heavens, making the alphas sapphire visionaries gaze upon their luminous glow. She basked in the lunar rays that shone down upon her chocolate-hued pelt as she sat back upon her haunches. The brisk wind carried dead leaves though the air, traveling swiftly past her like they still had a purpose in life. Even with such beautiful scenary that this night held, did not take her lingering thoughts of Kaija away from her mind. His muscular build was etched into her mind, and she could not erase the taunting thoughts that persisted in her head. She couldn't resist it anymore. The dark demoness wished her partner was with her now, she wished for his company.
Her jackal felt.. ackward, and slightly sick with his masters repulsive thoughts. All she was thinking about was how her and Kaija never seen each other in a few days, and how she missed him. Tch. That certainly wasn't the sadistic beast he knew of. 'Senna, I'm bored.. Don't you have anything better to think of, then missing him? Maybe we could chase some dumb animal, 'er something?" He tried coaxing her, but to no avail. Her gaze never left the skies, releasing a heavy sigh. She even found it odd that she didn't want to play mind games with her prey. Not now. The jackal emitted a simple groan to the famora's drifting thoughts. He supposed it couldn't be helped though. She could rarely get a chance to so much as speak with her mate, let alone spend time with him. He shrugged it off, before padding away. "If you need me, I'll be at the beach. I bring back some fish, if I can." Senna didn't even acknowledge his question, but Taro knew she heard him. It came in handy to read his masters thoughts.
The opakti left his companion to herself as she continued to star gaze on her rocky perch. It was here, that Senna used to talk with Kaijajust two years ago. When she first became an alphess, and he was a beta. A smile revealed itself on her features as she reminessed. They both went through hell, but he kept by her side each and every time. When she left her first mate, when she delievered their first litter, when they fought off aggresive tresspassers-Kaija had always been there. These days.. were different. They seen each other less and less, there duties as alphas always coming first. Tonight, she just wanted his company. Her dial pointed to the obsidian skies, while her jaws parted slightly to emit a long howl. The callous wolf had been tempted, and howled for her partner to come.
[Finished! ><' This is after Amori returns to the packlands, if you were wondering. ^^;]

Things in his lands had been short from caotic at the moment. What with the pups, although they were barely pups anymore, being naughty, pack members being disloyal, and all of this Zentha nonesence kicking off, Kaija had barely had any time to himself, let alone time to spend with his mate, Senna. Things seemed to have calmed themselves down now though, for the time being anway. Everything was as it should be, much to the large males relief, and he'd now somehow found himself with a lack of something to do. Their was one thing that was tormenting him slightly; the fact that his Raven Opakti seemed to have disappeared off of the face of the Island was kind of worrying, as the Brute had no idea where Tamen had gotten himself lost to. That was something that could be dealt with later, though, as now? He had other things on his mind.
Kaijas mood, as he trotted through his lands, was surprisingly uplifted. He had had little, if any, time to spend with Senna these days, and any time they did have together was spent dealing with disobedient children, or disloyal pack wolves, and any words that passed their mouths were fleeting hellos before going about more pack related business. It sucked, but he supposed it was all part of the Alpha role. The pack had to come first, in most cases anyway. Now though? Well, now his priorities had changed somewhat. Here was a chance to spend some real, quality time with his mate, and he was not going to let anything stand in the way of that. Except perhaps one thing that he would have to overcome; the fact that he had no clue where abouts in the territory she was right now.
The sound of her howl calling to him later on in the night was like music to the male, his eyes lighting up and ears standing erect as he listened to her song, sub-consciously judging the distance and location of the she-wolf herself. It was a beautiful sound, that very much matched her beautiful body, which Kaija could now pin-point to being somewhere around Petra falls. Lifting his maw to the skies and emitting his own howl into the air, letting the Alphess know that he was coming to her, the Brute took up his swift trot once more, persuing himself in the direction opposite to the way he had been heading before, the direction that would lead to Senna. The closer he drew, the clearer and stronger her scent become, luring him in towards his partner. It was a delicious smell, enough to cloud his mind and control the front of his actions, if he were to allow it.
As Kaija left the comfort of the woods and trotted out towards the falls, a mixture of scents came to greet him. The smells of the different wolves still lingered from various encounters that had happened here over the past few days, slowly fading into nothing but air. He could also smell the small jackal creature, showing that the Opakti had been here, even though it seemed as though the creature was retreating to elsewhere. It served as proof that the femme was here, and with a quick scan of the area, his auds focused on the fisique of his mate, sitting not too far away from where he stood, on a tumble of weather flattened rocks. A playful smile crept upon his maw as he padded towards her, quickly closing the distance between them until he was practically next to her, Clambering up onto the jutting rock. "Senna." He said in greeting with a smile, nibbling her ears gently.

Mere moments after her song ended, another one began, sending word that her wish would be granted. Almost instantly, a light hearted smile tugged upon the corners of her ebon lips. The sable hued beast was advancing towards his dark demoness, her auds straining to hear the haste in his gait as he approached closer towards her. The lean figure of a large male could finaly be seen in her bright visionaries, his mere presence making the organ in her chest flutter. Kaija.
Memories flooded her mind once again of the times they've shared. Times when the Skyla pack was small, and left room for herself and Kaija to spend most of their days together. Finally, tonight they could spend time togther like they have in the past. His muscular frame stumbled over the jagged rocks that protruded Petra Falls, her eyes gliding over his large build. How she missed that chaotic brute. Senna would never admit it to anyone else, but she craved his company, and missed his presence. Senna. The deep, husky tones of her mates vocals erupted into the air, making her features soften as he nipped playfully at her ears. The femora couldn't help but smile at the beast before her, his intoxicating scent wafting into her nostrils. The alphess buried her head into his chest, occasionally nipping his long fur. 'Kaija,' She murmered, rubbing her head gently against his neck. "I've missed you." This affection would never be seen by anyone. Not the members of her pack, not even ones of her own blood. This affection was saved for him, and him alone.
No words could express how the usual sadistic wolfess felt as of right now. She knew most of this was the cause of breeding season, but it was also because she missed him. The former was an odd feeling to have. That feeling to want-to need a bigger family. Senna wasn't even sure why, she already had four pups grown from the following spring, and were growing up to be an adult themselves. Perhaps it was because she had lost two of her precious heir, leaving her to have a void inside her. It wasn't that she wanted to replace them, for she could never replace those two strong pups. The alphess figured it was time to produce new heir to the thrown, if Kaija was willing to allow it. Sangurine and golden colored leaves blew past her again as the wind picked up a little, it's light fingers caressed her winter coat as it brushed through each straind. Her long banner wrapped around her paws instinctively with the rush of the cool air. Sapphire visionaries finally gazed upon his, her smile never leaving her facial features. "Want to return to the den for the night to talk..?" Her sultry tones purred, giving a slight hint of what she was aiming at. Of course, she wanted to talk with him, but it was obvious that it wasn't the only thing on her agenda.

The feel of her body coming into contact with his purposefully was something he had not felt for what seemed like a lifetime, and it wasn't until now, when it was actually happening again, that he realised just how much he had missed it. It was times like these that reminded him of the old days. Things had been very different then, he and Senna had ruled the Skyla visciously, always by eachothers sides, and not a soul had dared to cross them, for fear of their precious little lives. Even back when he was just a Beta, and that pathetic excuse for an Alpha male had been inhcarge, it had seemed like the dark hearted fae had always been there, in his presence.
'Kaija, i've missed you.'
A rarely seen smile allowed itself onto his maw at her words, and the male rested his chin ontop of her head as she buried herself into his chest, her touch spreading warmth across his entire body. Kaija swore to himself that, if it were allowed, he could quite happily just sit like this with her for the rest of his long life. Of course, it could never happen, as pack duties would interupt very quickly. They had mouths to feed, children to watch over, and disloyal pack wolves to dispose of. The rules did not say he could not wish for it, though. and he wished for it very, very hard. And I, you. He responded earnestly, his rough tongue slipping out and tracing across the length of her fore-head.
A cold breeze made its way over to the pair, swirling around in circles, autumn coloured leaves drifting along with it. The wind chill was proof enough of what was to come within these future few months; a winter just as harsh as the one before it. Kaija could smell it in the air, on the trees, could feel it in his skin, and could see it within the surrounding life that occupied ther lands. Birds had long since began in their migration to wherever it was they went, and the pray animals were quickly dwindling into low numbers. It would not be long before the Skyla pack would have to start investigating the meals in other pack territory, just as they had done last winter, and the winter before that. It was all part of the fun of the season. During the cold months. That was when the packs were at their weakest. That would be the adequate time for them to strike out.
'Want to return to the den for the night to talk..?'
The flirtacious tones of his beloved mate quickly bought Kaija out of his dark musings, and he quirked an eyebrow at the possible hidden meaning he had picked up in Sennas proposal. Indeed, they did need to talk, over several different things, but the way the Alphess had spoken was leading him to believe that it was not the only thing she wished to accomplish tonight. Well, who was he to complain? With an amused smirk, the Alpha spoke, Of course, giving her another gentle nip on her ear. Gathering himself up heavily onto all four paws, he raised both eyebrows in her direction, holding the gaze for several seconds before proceeding to pad away towards the the large waterfall. He needn't glance behind him, for he knew that his mate would shortly follow, if she was not already.
It was only a short while before the falls were fully in view, and already Kaija had visual on where the dens were, hidden behind the large rush of water that fell powerfully from atop the rocky cliffs edge. From up there, one could see the world. He had often clambered to the very top, even though the journey up was not a partcularly easy one to achieve, as from up there, he had a view of the entire space of his lands. Perhaps one day, when the risk of ice was not so high, and when the weather warmed up, he would take Senna up there with him. They could sit together, just as they used to, and watch the entire of their packs daily lifestyles, in the safety of eachothers company. Yes. That was something he would make sure happened, sometime in the close future.
And so the male began to clamber up the steep, rocky pathway, finding his way with alot more ease then the last time he had done, and glancing back every so often; to ensure that his Senna was still close behind him.

At that moment, the alphess found that she had grown too weary of her own lonesome company of just a jackal, and found the brute next to her much more comforting. After desperate months of finishing off their duties that needed to be tended to, they finally were able to seek each other out. His larger head was placed gently atop of hers, making time feel like it was at a complete stand still, and they were the only two that were privillaged to occupy it. The rushing rapids, the feirce winds, nor the relentless pounding of their hearts made them look away from one another. Even the alphas that caused such terror and brutality over the years could show such an emotion as love every once in a while. Senna basked in his presence, the warmth of his build made her feel so relaxed, so at ease.
Though her mind may have been entangled in their past, there was nothing they could do but live in the present, and look towards their furture. There were moments she yearned for the days of such simplictity, when they had little business to take care of, and when they would spend their nights together in the comfort of their den. The hopeful alphess knew she could possibly never gain those moments back, for the threats that seemed to beckon her pack were always constant. She was fortunate enough to snatch him up this night, for who knew when another time would arise to share each others company.
Once her mate reacted with a smirk of amusement to her request, the pitch pelted wolfess already knew what his answer would be. It was obvious that the brute was clever enough to decipher the hidden sultry tones in her voice earlier. After he nipped her ear delicately, her beast stood before the femora, gazing upon her for quite some time. The alphess what purpose it held, but she assumed it was because of the season. A brow quirked in amusement as she, too, stood upon all limbs to follow her partner towards the trechorous falls. A place hiding a little secret from the rest of the island-their den. Behind those rushing waters, the alpha pair had a perfect den claimed for the two alone. No other Skyla dared to go in them, either because they did not know of it's existence, or that they knew better. Her mind flooded with past memories once again as Petra Falls came into view. This was where she kept her four, precious pups when they were born. They would ramp around inside, torment the leaders opakti's, and were taught how to hunt outside the den. Now, they've all grown up, and the alphess was ready to bear another litter to their thrown.
The ebon demoness followed closely behind her mate with ease, his eyes occasionally glancing at her to make sure she was still there. Her claws gripped onto the slippery rocks as they ventured towards the small opening of the den. At first glance, it would seem almost impossible to slip inside, with a jagged rock wall on one side, and a forcefull waterfall on the other. Fortunatly, they've ventured in so many times, that it was a breeze to get in and out of. This time didn't prove any different-with calculating visionaries and a push of her hind legs, it looked almot effortless as she lept inside their little abode. Icey blue orbs peered around for inspection, making sure that they were truely alone. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, everything was as it seemed. It seemed like this was the only place she could go that didn't change. It was like a little time capsule. The alphess sauntered her way over to a small pile of decaying leaves, her banner swaying to and fro behind her. As she sat back onto her haunches and made herself comfortable, her eyes wandered over to her brutes well-toned frame. She didn't make any efforts to hide the fact that she was admiring his physique, either. Her sapphire pools gazed into his, her mind begining to fog over what would unfold later. Of course, she would save that for later, unless Kaija wanted otherwise. After all, they could save the talk afterwards.
"We have a lot to discuss, my king." She began, lowering her upper body towards the ground to lay down. "Of course.. you could save the talking for later, if you desire," Her dulcet vocals purred, while a smile tugged at the corner of her lips. Perhaps it was not the most subtle of hints, but Senna didn't intend it to be. He was hers for just one night, and she wanted to make her intentions crystal clear.

Oh, how he had missed this. As he continued to make his way towards the concealed dens, he could smell her behind him. Senna. Her scent danced around his nose, pitting a driving hunger within him that was not pleading for food, but was instead craving for her. He never realised how much he longed for her company in the past few months until now that he had it. Now that he was aware once more of what he'd been missing. Kaija glanced down to the ground that they recently been standing on, measuring how far up the pair had travelled in the short time. Quite a way up, by the looks of things, but their was still a short distance to cover before they'd reach the cave mouth. Kaija lifted his nose into the air slighty, scenting the area for any signs of other life, but got nothing. Just the two of them, and the fading smells of other pack members who had passed by.
Before he could allow himself to stop, the Brutes mind began to wander into his past as he continued forward up the cliff. Breif memories of life before he had hit Kongrai flickered before his eyes, his parents, their pack, Kishi as a pup, Keiku. Things hadn't been too bad. Infact, the male had quite liked life with his parents pack. He was taught every thing he needed to know, resulting in becoming a skilled killer. Then, Kishi had run off for some reason, and the pack seemed to smack down in security over the two remaining heirs. They were not allow anywhere without the presence of an escort, and that wasn't something Kaija took kindly to. Things had become worse after his brother started to grow into a cocky little shit, challenging his ever motive and picking fights at every chance he got. Eventually the inevitable had happened, and Kaija had pinned Keiku in a fight, wounding his brothers pride.
Kaija had headed for Kongrai after that, leaving his parents and pack with the company of his derranged sibling, and venturing off by himself. It didn't take long for him to establish himself into a pack, the Skyla, a group that had intrigued him after hearing story after story of their thirst for blood, and he had eventually clambered up to the rank of Beta. Everything was fine for a while, until once again things began to change. Kaija found that he'd developed a strong hatred for the packs Alpha Kovu, and what was even more troubling; a particular fondness for the packs Alphess, Senna. He'd lived with this for a short while, but eventually push came to shove, and he had taken Senna as his mate, or rather, she'd taken him as hers.
Finally the cave mouth was mere metres away, and the brisk scents of past scenes here greeted them. Senna swept the cave with her eyes, checking for intruders, but nobody was here, just as he had expected. A sort of rule had developed since he and Senna had been incharge of the pack. This was their place. Nobody else was allowed in, they either hovered at the bottom of the cliff, or just didn't bother coming near at all. Kaija regarded the cave with a fondness, an emotion that he found hard to come by. It was their place, a fact that was well known throughout the Skyla.
With his paws falling on the ground heavily, the male followed his mate into their paradise, sitting several feet away from her spot and allowing his eyes to fall onto those of his Alphess. 'We have a lot to discuss, my king. Of course.. you could save the talking for later, if you desire,' Kaija ears perked slightly, and a playful smile grew upon his maw to match hers. Yes, they did need to talk. The pack had fallen into a state which was rather embarassing, and something needed to be done about it. Might aswell get the boring stuff over with first, leaving the rest of the night to them and them only.

Though her intentions were conveyed perfected, her partner didn't reply to his temptress, leaving her the former option of a more dire matter. It couldn't be helped-she supposed it was best to discuss the matters first. Heaving a sigh, she sat upon her haunches once more, a more serious expression covering her features. "Well, where to start.." She pondered, her mind now pushing back the urges to be replaced with packs situation.
Skyla had become aa tainted version of what it once had been. They were so successful..so legendary for their extreme brutality. Now, with the members the pack had, seemed more disloyal-which, brought her to her first matter. "I don't know why.. but some members don't seem to know there place around here anymore." The alphess began, whilst her long tail wrapped delicately around her paws. "Lower ranks are disobeying orders, lying to their own leaders, fighting among one another, fleeing from their punishments.. and what's worse, is that our on flesh and blood are doing the same." A sudden twich of her ear showed just how annoyed she was about this, and that something had to be done. They were bringing great shame to, not only their pack name, but to themselves. How could her pack deceive her so..?
The alphess wasn't sure what else to say. Senna didn't know how to deal with them this time. Usually, punishment did the trick, but now..? They ran off like cowards, or endured it, only to break the rules again later. Maybe they needed to adress the issues by holding a pack meeting-or make the punishments more severe? The ebon fae wanted to hear her mates input, and what he thought they should do.
[It's ok-mine is much worse. ^_^']
