Frost dragged Halgea into a small clearing that looked like a good den. It may not be Kishi's, but It doesn't matter. Halgea's wound had completly dried up, but it still smelled horrid. She lay her down nearby and started grooming herself. She looked up at the fiery sunset. The sun blazed its last colors as it slipped past the horizon. She thought about what she heard as she left Shade and Kishi. There were five other humans. Shade killed two humans. Then there was the most odd of all... Shade was talking to an owl... She lay her head down quietly. Tomorrow was another day. She closed her eyes and listened to the sounds of the lake.

Finally, he was home. It had taken a long time, Koiro had almost forgotten entirely how to get back to his parents packlands, and had managed to get lost on more than one occasion. Eventually, however, that familiar scent of the Xyla packlands had made its welcomed journey up his nose, and Koiro had known he was on the right track. The lands looked exactly how he remembered, albeit slightly greener. He recognised the trees, the shape of the ground as it rose and fell in places. Koiro had emerged onto the Xyla lands through the Burnouts, which was a place he remembered dearly; as it was where he had received his first hunting trip, with his father and only brother.
Now, however, the young male found himself walking around Zestos lake, the one area he had missed the most. This was where he had been born, and it looked exatly the same. Chest puffed out with pride, as he realised he had managed to find this place all by himself, Koiro walked slowly towards the Dens, his paws padding delicately against the slightly overgrown grass. He breathed in, smiling as he smelt the familiar scent of his mother, mixed in with other pack members, ones he did not really recognise, but he assumed the pack would've grown some whilst he had been gone, gaining lots of new, loyal members. Exactly what his parents needed. Maybe they'd even had more pups, and he would have younger siblings! He could teach them everything he knew, maybe even accompany his father when he took them out for their first hunting lessons!
Trotting towards the old dens excitedly, he sniffed the air. Yep, their was definitely somebody in there. The scents werent any that he recognised, but that didn't matter. They'd probably changed alot in his absence anyway. Koiro didn't really consider the dangers he was exposing himself to right now. He didn't realise that, even though he was a rightful member of the pack, newer Xyla members wouldn't know whom he was. In his mind, he was the son of the pack Alphas. He would be welcomes with wagging tails and happy grins.
Notes: So, yeah, he thinks his father, Kish's old mate Karn, is still alive. Thought it might add abit of an exciting twist ><

Frost twitched her ears as she heard someone approach. It's smell filled her nose as he approached. Yes, a he. And What was he doing here? She stood up and turned herself toward his direction. She growled quietly and stood in front of Halgea, hoping he wouldn't see. She hadn't planned on another wolf. She looked down at the beta, there was no way she could run and drag her away. There was no way she could fight. She had planned on pending the night, and then have Kishi and Shade come back from whatever they were doing. She snarled and pulled her ears back. All she could do now was to call for help and hope Kishi and Shade came. She mentally thwacked herself for being so helpless. Alarm suddenly shot through her. Had he smelled the dried blood? Was he from another pack? He didn't smell like it, he smelled like a loner. There was talk about Zentha here and there. He could be a zentha follower. She couldn't run. She couldn't fight. She could call for help, but would they come soon enough?

Golden leaves fell from the trees as Koiro approached the small Den, occasionally sticking to his fur. He causally shook them off, placing one paw infront of the other as he walked, only stopping when the scent being emitted from the area before him grew suddenly stronger. The young male assumed this meant somebody had moved, and a sence of nervousness filled the air. Was this from him, or was this from whoever it was that was now his unknown company? Koiro sniffed the air cautiously, breathing in the scents of his mothers pack, and then the other, greater smells. Their was definitely somebody here .. perhaps even two, judging by the smell? He couldn't tell exactly, though, the smell of just overall Xyla hung in the air thickly, making it impossible for Koiro's unpracticed nose to differenciate the seperate ones.
Somebody snarled from within the Dens, and koiro immedietly froze, confused. Why were they snarling? He was family! His heart thudded heavily in his chest, and intriguing scent drawing him in towards the place where these wolves were hiding. Females, definitely females. That eased his nervousness somewhat, atleast he'd be bigger in size, if they decided to attack. Attack? What was he thinking about?! These were his family! He was the Son of Kishi and Karn, he had every right to be here! Koiros ears flattened against his head in submission, something he probably should not be doing, and he called out gently, "Hello? Mum?"

The brute soon caught up and passed his smaller partner, seeing how his stride was longer then hers due to the fact that his legs were just abit longer, something had changed in the brute since he had heard the call, on their journey he had trouble dodging the plant life but now he was dodging with the greatest of ease, pushing himself to move faster but he needed to ensure that his alphess could keep up as well, he was kind of kicking himself in the rump for this because the trip had been his idea in the first place, he should of known better!.. you should never leave a pack when a member is injured, it was just something you did not do!.. sure frost was there and she was a tough fae but facts are facts, a male could kill a female the size of frost with some to very lil trouble and Halgea was still out of action so she would be unable to defend herself or help frost fend off the attacker. As they neared a small clearing just before the opening, all they had to do now was make it through this and a small patch of trees then they would be able to aid their pack mates,
But just then the brute slammed on his breaks, not realizing that he was stopping directly in his alphess's path. but in the clearing up ahead was a fae even worse she wasn't part of the pack but she was ripping into something, he could smell the blood instantly and thoughts filled his head just as quickly, what if they were to late?..what if this she-wolf was the reason frost had called for help?.. was frost and halgea even alive?.. the brute slowly stalked closer as his eyes widened at the sight of the she-wolf's 'prey', it was another wolf! what the hell!.. the brute's body shook from time to time with a mixture of shock and rage, but he was indeed relieved that it was not frost or halgea that had fallen victim to this..this monster. Lucky for him and his alphess though it seemed that they still had the element of surprise.
He looked back at his alphess a questioning look in his eyes, it was clear that he had never been in this kind of situation before, after all he was a warrior normally in a normal situation he would go barreling in growling at the top of his lungs with his teeth bared. but this was clearly not a 'normal' situation and there for the brute was lost on what he should do, should they try and sneak past? or should they confront this 'invader' that was in their territory. shade didn't trust himself to make this choice he would leave it up to his alphess after all these were her lands he was just a warrior entrusted to guard them.

The famora slowly continued to rip away at her 'prey' but just then she heard a branch snap, Kenya flung her head toward the direction of the sound, once again blood had stained the blood around her maw, the fresh blood was dripping down to the ground as she spotted the brute and the abit smaller fae, a whicked grin formed onto her lips as she stepped away from the carcass. the brute was very familiar to her and then it hit her.. he was the one who had requested shelter from the harsh winter a while back, shade was his name she thought to herself. she then looked at the fae that was close to him as she then winked at the brute then looked back at her, " if you are his mate then if i were you i'd get use to him speaking about this wolf named kishi.. i mean me and him spent three days and three nights in a cave waiting for the blizzard to die out and shes all he could talk about!"
She then smirked and padded past the two without another word, after all she was not there to fight she was just catching some 'lunch' if they wanted to fight about that then she'd give them a fight. but as of right now all she wanted to do was go wash the blood from her pelt, her smirk slowly faded into a grin as she thought about the shooked look on the brute's face, appearnitly she had just told the fae something he was trying to keep hidden. oops?.. a little bit away from the group kenya stopped and looked back at them. " oh and i almost forgot.. Zentha sends his regards"

Shade had caught up with her, causing the competative streak to come striding out of her heart. She spead up, keen to beat him and be first to her Shamans aid, but instead having to stop suddenly, skidding across the ground as she did so and almost flying into her Warrior Brute. 'Kishi lifted her dlicate head to see what the commotion was, and the sight that met her eyes sent chills down her spine. Their was a female in her territory; a loner female, for their were no pack scents in the surrounding air, and she was eating something.
That 'something' looked suspiciously like a dead, torn up wolf.
A sickly feeling settled in the pit of the Alphas stomach, making her feel queasy, and twitch like shivers of fear ripped through her body. Could she possibly be seeing correctly here? Wolves did not eat other wolves, it just wasn't normal! Was their something wrong with this fae? Shade looked at her, curiosity and question clear in his eyes, and for what seemed like the millionth time today, Kishi had absoltely no clue what to do. The femme looked back at the discusting intruder, taking a dominant step forward, a low growl apparent in her throat.
'If you are his mate then if i were you i'd get use to him speaking about this wolf named kishi.. i mean me and him spent three days and three nights in a cave waiting for the blizzard to die out and shes all he could talk about.' That struck a nerve. If one more person mentioned the idea of her and Shade being mates, all hell would break loose. She herself had not quite gotten her head around the image, even if it was something she had come to find quite appealing. Yes, she could see it happening, much like the other wolves, but it still felt uneasy when other canines spoke of it, especially ones she didn't even know! The statement that the two had 'spent three days and three nights in a cave' lead her to really hate this wolf, her lip curling back and a viscious snarl ripping out from her throat, but she pushed the jealousy feelings aside, focused on making sure Frost and Helgea were okay.
'oh and i almost forgot.. Zentha sends his regards.' 'Kishi had been mentally preparing herself for a fight, ready to throw this monster off of her lands, but the use of that name caught her completely off guard. She stared at the femme, eyes widening, in disbelief. Zentha?! The Xyla leader knew whom that name belonged to, of course, who didn't? It was a word that sent fear through the spines of even the hardest of wolves, and the whole of her world seemed to grow cold in a just a few seconds flat. Thankfully, the intruder merely wandered off, without picking violence, for Kishi would have been totally unprepared. She blinked a couple of times, trying to get those words out of her head, Zentha sends his regards. Zentha sends his regards. Zentha sends his regards., before bounding off towards the dens, screaming out "Frost?! Halgea!? in horror, and hopes that they were both still alive.

The brute watched as his alphess stepped toward the strange fae, but just in the blink of an eye the whole thing was over, and the invader was retreating to where ever the hell she had come from and by the time the brute's eyes refocused on his alphess, she had re-began her journey to the dens. not to be left in the dust the brute raced after her his pride would not allow her to beat him, as he slowly caught up beside her he leaned over and gave her a lick on the cheek, basically showing that he approved of the way she had handled herself back there, kishi was a good alphess and a decent fighter but she wasn't always good under pressure. the brute then started to pull ahead running faster and faster as his mind now returned to the task at hand. but a thought kept racing though his mind, "Who was that...and how could she remember something he had no memory of?..".
The brute soon broke free of the small patch of trees that laid between the clearing and the dens. he spotted a male at the mouth of one of the caves and instantly flew into combat mode. as he charged in toward the male, his lips curled back and his fur stood on-end then his eyes narrowed locking him in on his target. the closer he got the more the warrior snapped his powerful jaws shut in a threatening display. but just then as more details of the strange male came into view shade slid to a stop, his fur laying back into a relaxed manor as he realized who the wolf was by his scent and eyes alone. sure the last time he had seen this wolf was a very long time ago when he was just a pup. but there was no mistaking it this was kishi's son koiro.
"You almost got yourself killed boy, popping in unannouced like that". shade said as he chuckled softly, his tail now wagging to allow his alphess know that the wolf that stood just before him now was indeed a member of the pack. he then turned toward his alphess and smiled softly."Kishi.. look whos finally come home.."

The young male could smell something in the distance, but as usual, jumped straight to the conclusion that it was just another pack member. Ultimately not realising the actual danger he was in, Koiro continued to pace innocently around the area, debating with himself over whether or not to pad into the Den unannounced. Their was most definitely somebody in there, he could both smell and hear the movement, but 'who' was the unanswered question, who was it in there? did he know them? Did they know him? Would they try and kill him if he just walsed in there? No. They wouldn't do that. Afterall, he was family.
Suddenly, a big black wolf, much larger than himself, bolted out of the trees, straight at him. The canine snarled as he charged, snapping his jaws shut in a way that made Koiro back away a few inches. Dad? What was he doing, attacking him like this?! He was family, he had every right to be here! Heck, he even had claim to the alpha spot, if his blessed mother was to die, along with the Betan. "Dad?!" The young male cried out in horror, thinking it was his own father that was trying to hurt him.
At a closer range though, it was clear that this wolf was not his father. And the fact that he was here, in his mothers lands, attacking other wolves was a big worry for Koiro. He didn't take into account the possibility that this Brute might've been an Xyla member; to the young male, he was nothing but an intruding threat. The dark furred wolf's ears flattened against the back of his head as he snarled back, teeth bared in a malicious manner, ready to take on this challenging Brute. Something happened next, however, that surprised Koiro, whom had been fully expecting to end up in a bloodied fight. The wolf stopped short of his attack, his manner changing completely from threatening and dangerous, to shocked, to cheery and joyful.
This confused Koiro. He had absolutely no idea whom this wolf was, and why he had suddenly ceased in his attack. 'You almost got yourself killed boy, popping in unannouced like that.' Koiro snorted, teeth still bared in anger, glaring suspiciously at the Brute. "What? Who the hell are you? He snarled, hackles raised to show he was not afraid. If this guy was trying to trick him, he'd be ready. He'd-He'd take him down easily! Stupid wolf, testing his patience he was! And most likely posing a threat to the pack wolves that followed his mother. Well, now he had a duty for forfill. He would need to protect whomever it was who was in the dens.
'Kishi.. look whos finally come home.' Those words erased any and all violent thoughts he may have been thinking, his ears standing up again and his face relaxing in to surprised and curious manner. His mother was here! And he hadn't even noticed! well, if Kishi was here, then his father must be closeby too! Sending one last glare in the dark furred wolf's direction, whom he had quickly grown to dislike, he focused all of his happy attention on the shocked looking, red furred femme that had entered the clearing. The Alphess of Xyla. His mother.

The brute simply chuckled at his younger would be foe, a small smile forming onto his maw, just as he figured this male had no clue what had happened and he knew that kishi didn't have the heart to tell him, even though the brute didn't know why he was compiled to allow kishi to inform her son of his father's death. but that would be handled at a later time right now this young fool was trying to challenge him!.. deep down shade knew that the brute was just trying to defend himself and his home so he did not retake his fighting stance, "Calm yourself boy.. to think i helped rise you man..that seems like a long time away now..". he walked around the male chuckling softly as he did so.
"you may not remember me but i surely remember you, it broke your mothers heart when you left but she came to grips with it soon enough". He then sighed softly as the memory of kishi's sworrow came flooding into his mind. he shook his head and looked back at the wolf that stood before him,"Even if i didnt know you i am the head warrior here and you will show me some respect". just as the wolf known as shade stopped talking, a screeching sound came ripping though the air, Followed by a blur of feathers as a great horned owl flew in and landed on shade's back. Cheen stared at the clearly younger brute for a moment before turning toward his master. the owl was clearly out of breathe but started to speak anyway although only his master could understand him that did not seem to bother cheen one bit.
"Shade..thank god i found you..". cheen said as he continued to try and catch his breathe, still staring at the brute but then turned his head to look at the Mexican fae as she entered the clearing then turned his attention back to his master, who was clearly annoyed by the owl's timing once again. after all now he was going to have to either explain what was going on to not only his alphess but this young male as well. sure he was apart of the pack but still shade did not trust him just yet."Shade! focus!" the owl screeched again as he gently pecked the wolf on the head trying to get his attention.but all it got the owl was a shove to the ground and a soft growl from his master as the wolf turned to face him, shade was not normally a unstable wolf but lately with all the things going on especially with the humans and this zentha wolf the stress was beginning to affect him. "The humans are on the move shade..three of them are headed this way.."
That was exactly what the brute did not! what to hear, halgea was still to injured to move again and it would be some time still until she could walk on her own, and besides as if it wasn't bad enough that he had to worry about the hurt fae, he now had to worry about this unexperianced brute as well!.. could anything else go wrong on this day!. he turned toward his alphess and stepped up to her as he whispered in her ear, "We need to speak.." he glanced back to the young male then at his alphess. "Alone..". normally shade didn't care who over heard his lil chat sessions, but if he had to request to speak with his alphess alone, it could only mean one of two things and they had already spoken about the whole being together/ mating season thing before, that only left one thing it could possibly be, more bad new..

"Hello, mum?" What? This brute thought she was his mother? She had never even-maybe it was Kishi's pup? It was possible, and this was the den she raised them in. She opened her mouth to say something when she heard Shade and Kishi crash through the trees. Good. Then, she smelled another scent. Another? Really? A fae-eating another wolf?! What? She had been so distracted, she hadn't noticed another intruder. And, if she was eating a wolf, that was another intruder! What was this? Intrude the Xyla pack lands and scare the non-fighter shaman and the rest of the pack out of their wits day? She left, saying something about Zentha. Zentha? He- no way! He was so famous for... Well, everyone knew. Then, apparently, this WAS Kishi's child. Everything spun by so fast. Then Kishi came running in screaming, "Frost? Halgea? Are you okay?" "Yeah, we're fine. But-" She was cut off by Shade when he asked to speak privately with Kishi. Again. Frost sat down again and lay by the beta. She closed her eyes again, but she was fully alert, listening to the sounds of the forest.

Still feeling slightly unnerved by the sight she had just seen, the slight famora bounded into the clearing, hearing Shade clash with somebody else in a show of snarling and growling. Seriously, how many wolves were going to walse onto her territory today?! It wasn't a freaking free for all! Her main concern was the safety of her Shaman and her ill Betan, though. She knew she had to get to them quickly, to ensure they were both okay. The dens were in sight, just across the clearing. They were however, blocked by another unknown wolf, who did seem strangely familiar. It was only when he spoke, yelling at Shade whom had becum oddly calm all of a sudden, that she recognised him.
Kishi stared, blocking out whatever it was the larger male was saying, only interested in the younger, dark furred intruder that stood before them. My, how he had grown! Grown large, powerful, and into the spitting image of his father. A sight that both warmed and saddened her heart. Her now grown up pup glared at Shade for another few seconds, before turning his attention to her, looking just as surprised as she was to see him here, even though he must have known who he would bump into to. The femme smiled at her son, not ready to display all of the affection she was feeling inside to everybody else here. No, she would save that for later. "Nice to have you back, Koiro." She said lightly, before turning her attention to her Shaman, whom had emerged from the dens.
'Yeah, we're fine. But-' Frosts response to her screaming was cut off by Shade, whom looked rather amsuing with his bird sat on his back, but had a serious face. 'We need to speak.. Alone...' The femme raised an eyebrow, uncertain of what he had to say, but made the decision to involve the entire pack in this small meeting, now that everybody was together, and without the drama of various wolves being shot at. Kishi looked Shade in the eye, speaking steadily, "No, we're all family here. Everybody needs to know whatever news that bird has brought you." Assuming that was what he was speaking about, and praying it had nothing to do with all of that 'i love you' malarky, especially now that Koiro had joined them, she turned her gaze back onto Frost, realising that Helgea had not come out of the Dens with her, even though she had said 'we're fine'. "And Helgea, she will live?"

The brute just glared at the younger male after turning his attention away from his alphess.and just then the warrior did something that would surly catch everyone who knew him off guard as it was completely out of character for the brute, as he just turned and walked away without responding to his alphess's question.he had never ever done this before the only thing it could be is that something was bothering the brute but what could it be?.. "I will handle this myself.." shade said but his voice was full of doubt which was another first because if something that had to do with combat the warrior never doubted himself but this time he didn't even stop to playfully wink back at his alphess like he usually did,
The brute padded out of the den and straight toward the lake, as he did so he found himself being dive bombed once again by Cheen and cheen was screeching at the top of his lungs,"what the hell is the matter with you! you need to tell them!", the brute not really paying attention spoke out loud for everyone could hear him as he sighed, " Cheen.. i can not risk her son getting involved..you didn't see the way she looked at him.. i did.. im not going to allow her to lose him again..". he laid down by the lake as the owl landed nearby, cheen had never seen his master acting in such a manor, the only one he had seen his master remotely acting this way around was his alphess but the owl had just chalked that up the mating season.. but now his master was just down-right strange."even if that lil brat is disrespectful.." the brute mumbled under his breath.
he then closed his eyes all the while knowing his alphess would be along any moment almost furious by his actions, but he would explain it to her when he came to that problem but for now he needed to figure out a way to deal with the humans without getting the pack put in any danger, after all he wanted kishi to be happy and if he had told her the news that cheen had told him it would of just stressed her out anyway, that was the last thing that the warrior wanted to do, if he had to go and fight the humans on his own then so be it that is exactly what he would do!.. but something made him feel protection over kishi, maybe she was right.. what if his feelings were because of the mating season?..

Even if i didnt know you i am the head warrior here and you will show me some respect'
Koiro had taken a severe dislike to this wolf already. Who the hell was this guy? Some sort of 'hippie wolf' or something? Not to mention the way he spoke of his mother, that was something the young male definitely did not want to hear, nor did he like it. God, if his father was here right now, he'd have put this dark furred 'head warrior' into his place, showed him who's boss n'all. Where was Karn, anyway? Usually, from what he could remember, wherever Kishi had been, his father had never been too far behind. It seemed slightly odd that he was no where to be seen right now. Perhaps he was out patrolling, destroying intruding wolves or something. Yes, that was probably it, even if it was strange that he had not bumped into him on his wanders through the territory.
The young male snorted at his older pack mates words, knowing full well that if the need for a battle arose, he'd most likely be following orders from this jerk. To hell with that. If he thought Koiro would do as he was told, he could think again. Their was absolutely no chance he was going to let this guy order him around. "My name isn't 'boy', it Koiro. You show me some respect, grandad." He snapped, the only insult coming to his mind right now was that of his age, even if this guy was only older than himself by a few years.
A femme emerged from the Dens, joining the little gathering with a lack of enthusiasm. She was a pretty creature, with a silvery-grey coat, and dark patches on all of her four paws. This must be who he had smelt before! Kishi had called out, asking if 'Frost and Helgea' were okay, and this famora had replied with 'yeah, we're fine. but-' before getting interupted by the larger Brute. Just another reason to dislike this guy. So this fae's name was either Frost, or Helgea. Which one though? They were giving no clues over that.
The older male requested that he speak to Kishi alone. Away from the eyes and ears of everyone else? Koiro definitely did not like that idea, and decided he would do anything to prevent that from happening, for his fathers sake as much as his own. Thankfully, though, his mother demanded that he say whatever he had to say infront of everybody, and Koiro could not help but smile smugly to himself. Take that you overcocky jerk. He thought to himself proudly, turning his eyes back onto the pretty, silver coated femme for a few dragged out seconds, before looking back to the Brute, only to see he was receiving a glare! This guy was actually glaring at him! Before saying, 'I will handle it myself..', and padding off in what Koiro thought as a strop, accompanied by that owl thing.
Even though the young wolf was astonished that this male had denied his Alphess' orders to tell them all what was going on, he just could not help that smug feeling that was growing inside. "Well, isn't he just a barrall of fun." Koiro said with a smirk, before turning his awe struck gaze back onto the pretty silver coated femme, 'Frost' it seemed her name was, happy with the knolwedge that the Brute had wandered off alone, without the company of his mother.

"My name isn't 'boy', it Koiro. You show me some respect, grandad." that was the last thing the warrior had heard from the cocky male, and honestly he didn't care if he would get in trouble for what he was about to do, that kid needed to learn some respect! shade slowly picked himself up from his laying position and started making his way back toward the pack, all the while his loyal but some times annoying owl was trying to talk some sense into the out-raged brute, "Shade calm yourself! this isn't what karn would want!", but the birds warnings and pleads fell on deaf ears, as the warrior brute did not change course or slow his pace. the closer he came the more irate he became, he was not going to harm the annoying younger male..much.. but he was going to teach him a lesson.
Shade found himself once more being lectured once more by his own guardian, "Shade this will surely put you on kishi's bad side! i 'm begging you please stop this!", unlike the last time this lecture actually gained a response from his master, "I don't care i'm going to teach him a lesson and that is that! now stay out of my way!", unable to convince his master to stop cheen decided to try and warn the younger male as he flew over and screeched at the top of his lungs then dive bombed the wolf's head trying anything to get his attention.
But as fate would have it the owl would be to late, by the time he pulled up from his divebomb he wittnessed his master, body check the younger male with enough force to send him to the ground, shade then padded around the brute a sly grin on his face as he looked at him, "you are so lucky that you're kishi's son.. i have killed wolves for less but i guess i have no choice but to let it slide..this time.." he said as he then turned his attention to his alphess, "and the news is.." he whispered exactly what cheen had told him into her ear then explained that he did not want her son to get involved in any plans.

"No, we're all family here. Everybody needs to know whatever news that bird has brought you." Frost smiled inwardly. She was slightly sick of Shade always having private meetings with Kishi. Just because nobody else was an alpha, that didn't mean that Kishi was the only wolf that needed to know important things. "I'll handle this myself..." Honestly? What was so important that he needed to tell his alpha, but not important enough that the pack couldn't? Maybe it was telling someone. It was either her or Kishi's son. What did they have against each other? It was probably him. Whatever the reason for their dislike, this was no time for a fierce fight. "Will Halgea live?" Frost looked back at Halgea, who seemed to be fine. "She should, as long as every day isn't like this." Frost yawned. Boy, she really hoped nothing else would happen. Somehow, a pack meeting turned into the beta getting shot, humans, an unknown pack, Shade getting a weird owl, Kishi's long-lost son, pack issues, and something important that nobody knew. The last rays of the sun fell down the horizon. It was getting pretty dark by now. And then, Shade and Koiro were arguing. Of course... This was so obvious. She watched with interest. Hopefully it wouldn't get too bad. Of course it would, she corrected herself. Shade tackled Koiro to the ground. She stepped forward, but he got off. "You're lucky you're Kishi's son... I have killed wolves for less but I guess I have no choice to let it slide... This time..." Okay, but this would probably happen many times again. Shade whispered something into Kishi's ear. Frost stifled another yawn and waited for Kishi to say something.

Koiro listened with interest as his mother and the other femme exchanged words, conversing of a wolf named 'Helgea', from the what the fae 'Frost' was saying, the young Brute could gather enough information to know that something rather dramatic had happened here, although neither were giving hints as to what that something was. He sniffed at the air, feeling alot more relaxed in himself now that the older male had dissappeared into the trees, the scents in the air notifying him that their was indeed somebody else here; another pack member. This must be the Helgea wolf. It was a fae, but Koiro couldn't tell by just smell alone what was wrong with her.
Out of nowhere, Koiro spotted the older Brute charging towards him through the trees, an incredibly angered look set upon his features. The young heir laughed, amused that his words seemed to have had the desired effect on the old wolf, adrenaline pumping through his body. However, that laugh soon transformed into a startled yelp, as Koiro found himself being slammed into the ground, the snarling dark furred male ontop of him. Egged on by the drama of it all, the young wolf snarled back, struggling under the weight of the muscular male. Thankfully, he got off, and so Koiro rolled back onto his paws, shaking himself to rid his pelt of the dust that had collected in irritation. Ideot.
'You're lucky you're Kishi's son... I have killed wolves for less but I guess I have no choice to let it slide... This time...'
The male glared, his dislike for this guy growing by about another metre. This time? Pfft. Koiro simply hadn't been ready. He could take him on any day. Sometime in the future, he'd prove that this jerk wasn't as big and strong as he seemed to think he was. Some day. Then the jerk did something that the young male really didn't like. He approached his mother, and whispered something in her ear. Although Koirohad absolutely no idea what it was he was saying, the way he did it was far to intimate for his liking, and he decided, as a low growl began to build up in his throat, that he absolutely hated this guy.

Halgea regained conciousness right as Shade said "Your lucky your Kishi's son... I have killed wolves for less, but i guess i have no choice but to let it slide... This time..." She was so confused! Who was this stranger in her territory? Correction, Kishi's territory. This was bad. VERY bad. Humans, invaders, a limp! What was this, official Make-Halgea-Die-of-Confusion-and-Embarrassment Day? Nuh-uh. NO. She mustered all her strength to get up. And fell. She yelped loudly.

'I will handle this myself..'
The small femme snorted, annoyed that once again Shade had decided not to obay her orders. For gods sake, how much would it take for him to understand that he was supposed to do as she told him. That meant to spill whatever the hell it was he wanted to say, even if he did not want to say it infront of his audience, and not to go off by himself to deal with 'this' himself. She was the higher rank here, would it really be so hard for her pack to understand that, even for a single day?! Before she even had time to snap at him the fact that he was not to go off and attempt to handle a situation that she was not even aware of by himself, Shade was off, his thirst for a fight seemingly getting the better if his mind. 'Kishi watched him disappear, hearing her son mutter something rude about him in response to the Brutes original harsh words. The femme merely figured the pair were asserting their ranks with eachother, do thought nothing of it.
'She should, as long as every day isn't like this.'
The short alphess smiled, silently agreeing with what the Shaman had said. She too hoped that this sort of drama did not happen every day, especially the sort that involved human activity on her lands. As much as those strange creatures intrigued her, she didn't want to see a repeat of the days events, particularly the whole 'both Helgea and Shade being shot at' scenario. "Make sure you keep an eye on her." Kishi said, knowing that the comment wasn't really needed, as Frost would know to do this; it was in her kind heart, but felt she should say something. In her mind, the femme noted that she must make sure she spent some quality time with these two faes. She'd been spending so much time in the company of Shade the past month or so, that some female companionship would be nice for a change.
Speaking of Shade, it came of no shock to Kishi when the very Brute came racing out of trees, straight towards her son. It seemed he had heard the rude comment. She frowned as Shade smacked his entire weight into Koiro, tackling the young male to the ground and snarling at him with a viscious manner. Not being one to take this sort of thing lightly, much like his father before him, Koiro growled in an outraged manner, attempting to fight back, but failing against a wolf that was so much bigger than him. "Enough!" Kishi snapped, padding towards the two of them in anger. "You, stop being an idiot." She said in the direction of Shade, as he released Koiro, "and you, stop tormenting him." the femme ordered her son, in the same fuming tone of voice.
The larger of the two males stepped towards her, saying something in the direction of the smaller wolf, before whispering into her ear, everything that he apparently had wanted to say before. Kishi could hear annoyed growls coming from Koiro, but she ignored them, listening intently to what Shade was saying. Three humans were heading their way. This was alarming news, and what was veen more worrying wa the fact that the pack really couldn't move away from here in such a hurry, as it wouldn't be fair on Helgea. She still did not quite understand why Shade hadn't wanted to tell the rest of the pack this news, but right now, that was the leats of her worries. She had to get the Xyla to safety, and right now, the dens was pretty much the only shelter that would serve their needs; hopefully. "And so you thought you'd go off and deal with them by yourself. Nice." She said to Shade sarcastically, still annoyed by what had just happened. "Everybody needs to move into the dens. Now." She said, her voice carrying a certain heir of authority, before padding over to the struggling helgea, after hearing her yelp in pain when she had attempted to stand. "Frost, we need to move her. Sorry Helgea, this might hurt."

"Enough!..You, stop being an idiot." The warrior's features changed almost instantly, as if his whole mind set was changed as well, he shook his head slightly and then looked at the younger male and surpised everyone once again, "I'm sorry.. i shouldn't of done that", I'm sorry.. those words had never left the brute's maw before, especially around his alphess, after he finished speaking he looked down-right lost, as if he was questioning everything that he had ever done, if he had gone about this all the wrong way, he shouldn't see this young male as a threat.. he should welcome him, after all he could be useful if the warrior ever found himself out-numbered in a fight, though shade highly doubted after this encounter with him that the younger male would do anything to help him, shade came out of his trance just in time to hear his alphess speaking to her son.
"and you, stop tormenting him."
Normally this would of made him smile and grin at the younger male, but not this time as he slowly placed himself between Koiro and his mother, "No kishi this was my fault, he is just young he does not know any better", for a few moments even shade found it hard to grasp what he had just said, was he actually defending koiro?!.. the male that had insulted him?!.. and he hadn't even done it in a disrespectful or questioning manor, he had basically accepted all the blame for the conflict, again this was not something the brute would normally do, normally he would just stand back and watch his alphess tear into the idiotic wolf who had brought this upon themselves, but that was not the case kishi should not be mad at her son, she should be welcoming him home, so shade decided to take the heat from kishi after all it was koiro's first day back and things were bad enough as it was.
"And so you thought you'd go off and deal with them by yourself. Nice."
The warrior's heart sunk even though he wanted to snap back at her, he couldn't but he was still offended by her words, he was defending them! and all she could think about was how he had disobeyed her?!.. shade shook his head and restrained himself from saying anything to her that might of gotten him into more trouble, shade loved getting in trouble but not when it was with someone he cared for and now that he thought about it, it was a dumb plan after all. just then his alphess spoke again, "Everybody needs to move into the dens. Now.", now this he agreed with as he looked over at the others, his ears then perked up hearing halgea yelp in pain but even though it was the sound of pain, it brought some relief to the brute's heart after all she was awake now and with her pack, he turned to face them then turned to face the forest determined to stand guard until everyone was safely in the den.
He listened as his alphess made her way over to help the injured betan and this kind of made him smile on the inside, but his facial features did not change on the outside, his eyes constantly scanning the treeline looking for anything out of the normal, his ears perked straight up listening for any sign of an advance from their enemy, this was clearly not a time he wanted to deal with the over-cocky male even if he would just listen to his insults then ignore them now, as his alphess had commanded it was enough, just then he just happened to over hear his alphess speaking one last time, "Frost, we need to move her. Sorry Helgea, this might hurt.", his heart whent out to the poor fae, after all he had been shot before and he knew how much pain she must be in right now, but if he tried to help out anymore it would most likely annoy his alphess even more and that was not something he wanted to do.

"Make sure you keep an eye on her." Of course, she answered silently. Frost walked over to Halgea and started re-cleaning her wound. She watched the others patiently. "Everyone needs to move into the dens, now."Kishi said. "Why?" It probably had something to do with what Shade told her. Everything lately had something or other to do with what Shade and his bird found out. Maybe that was an exaggeration, since it only happened once or twice, but it mostly felt like it. Silently, she wondered if Shade and Koiro would cope stuck together. They probably would for Kishi. Then again... They were pretty annoyed at each other... And Shade was easily hinting that he would kill him if he weren't Kishi's son. This would probably go on for some time. This was just the first half day. "Frost, we need to move her. Sorry Halgea, this might hurt." Something was definitely wrong. Frost walked over to Halgea and dragged her inside. Tiredness was really starting to come over her. She shook her head free of it and started grooming Halgea again. Shade stood guard outside. The faint scent of owl and something too vague to recognize drifted along. Her fur bristled. There was something dangerous about it.

Things were suddenly flying by at an alarming speed, to a point where Koiro found himself struggling to keep up with the events. The air around them had abruptly turned incredibly chilly, and their was a certain feel of increased tension, most of which was being emitted by his mother. The young male switched his gaze from the older warrior to his Alphess when she snapped at them, only to see her glaring, apparently irritated by the pairs rough arguing. 'Enough!' She had snarled, in a tone he had never heard her use before, 'You stop being an ideot,' Koiro felt the large smirk emerge onto his maw, and made no attempt to stop it from showing. Ha! That would teach that arrogant 'lead Warrior'. Goodness, he should coount himself lucky. If Karn had been here, his punishment for talking to an heir in that way would've been alot more severe that just a mere telling off. Oh well, Koiro would be sure to tell his father about what had happened after he got back from wherever it was he had got to.
'I'm sorry.. i shouldn't of done that.'
This sentence caught the male completely off guard, and he had to really control himself in order not to let out a loud, barking laugh. No way! This male, this large, powerful male, had actually just apologized for something! Goodness, that was not something Koiro had expected to hear. Definitely not from the older males mouth. His smirk grew larger, and the young wolf could practically feel the smugness welling up inside of him.
'and you stop tormenting him.'
What?! That was completely unfair! Koiro snorted in defiance, not understanding why he was being told off along with the older male, when in his eyes, he had done absolutely nothing wrong! Afterall, it had been the darker furred adult whom had attacked first, and he had been merely acting in self defence, fearing for his life. Not tormenting him! Well, not that much anyway. Thankfully, the young male did not hear Shades words in his defence, at that would've most likely tipped the poor wolf over the edge in confusion. Instead, all of his attention focused on yet another femme, whom had appeared out of the dens. This one however, seemed to be hvaing some difficulty. She attempted to stand, but failed, falling back to the ground in a way that made Koiro wince, asthough feeling the pain himself. She yelped, and seemed to give up.
Helgea. This one must be Helgea. Her face looked slightly familiar, as though he may have seen her at some point when he was a young pup, but her name was not recognisable to him. She held his attention for a few seconds, as the male wondered what it was that was wrong with her, until something else caught his eye, something that annoyed him deeply. Koiro watched in discomfort as the older male whispered into his mothers ear. Whatever he had to say seemed to alarm her, but she did not elaborate. She merely ordered them all into the dens. Why? Well, this was beyond the male, along with frost by the sound of it, as she asked that very question.
He did not hesitate to obay his mothers orders, knowing that for her to command such a thing must mean something was bugging her - something other than bigger jerk wolf. So he padded into the Dens, and sat, awaiting the company of his fellow pack mates.
Muse - Eh, alright. Would've been a whole lot better if my post hadn't ate itself yesterday ><

'I'm sorry.. i shouldn't of done that. No kishi this was my fault, he is just young he does not know any better.'
The small femme stared at Shade for a few moments, her eyebrow quirking, unsure whether he was being sarcastic and trying to better her again, or whether he was actually being serious. A second ago, the pair had been at eachothers throats, and now Shade was defending him? What on earth was going on? She had never heard the male apologize before; but hey, there was a first for everything, yes?
'Kishi half expected him to snap back at her when she made her sarcastic comment, but to her surprise, he did not. He merely turned to face the forest, as if watching in guard for the humans to make their appearance. She heard Frost inquire as to why they had to go inside, but Kishi didn't answer. She just watched the Shamen drag Helgea inside, and then followed Koiro into the Dens, the faint scent of danger makings its way in with them. "Shade, inside now please." She commanded, her tone slightly lighter than it had been before. The femme then proceeded to tell Frost, Helgea and her son what was going on, deciding they had as much right to know. "Their are humans, three of them, and they are heading straight in this direction. None of you panick. We're not too run, we just need to stay as quiet as possible, and wait for them to pass. Nobody make a sound."
Muse: Rubbish. Notes: Can we have the humans just pass by without noticing them. I dont think getting in anymore touble would be too good for Helgeas sake, and i though, when she was healed and better, that the pack could decide to go and warn the Skyla and Liazo of what was going on.

"Shade, inside now please."
The brute simply nodded his answer and he had agreed to follow her order but as he went to pad into the cave he stopped and realized a chilling fact, even if they stayed silent a active watchmen even one that was on patrol would be able to spot them just laying in the cave and if that happened then they would have no chance against the human weapons, looking around quickly he located a branch that had fallen off a nearby tree that was large enough to cover the opening of the cave and conceal the pack that hid within. he padded quickly over to it as he would then sink his teeth into a good 'handle' part of it as he started the grueling task of dragging the massive limb over to the cave, its size alone prevented the brute from just simply picking it up and carrying it. but as he ensured that every member of his pack was safely inside the cave he slowly but surely moved the massive limb into position and then made his way back out to cover up the drag marks on that the branch had left on the ground.
When the warrior returned to the cave he could hear his alphess explaining what he had told her to the others, normally he would of stopped her but for some reason he felt the need to explain it in even more detail but he would wait for his alphess's permission."Kishi with your permission i will fill you all in on what i know of the humans though my encounters with them." shade said as he stepped up along side his alphess but the usually bold warrior who would of interrupted her by now to tell his version of it, was strangely silent as he waited for his alphess's response. it was almost as if he had finally and truly had unquestionable respect for her but then again only time could tell how long this new found behavior would last, or if it was just a one time thing?. either way it didn't cause any drama or unneeded stress within the pack he just wished to inform them of what he knew, he knew that it was most likely that none of them had encounter a human before, well he had and he knew how to combat them but even more useful he knew how to hide from them as well.
Still waiting for his alphess's answer the brute slowly padded over to the betan and gently nuzzled her cheek, that was his way of showing that he cared for someone, even if he hardly showed it that was to be expected seeing how he was a battle-harderned warrior and warriors hardly showed their 'weaker' emotions such as love or caring for another. they often refered to those feelings as a waste of time and that they were unneeded on the battle-field, well this was true for the battle-field but in a cave settinga warrior needed to know how to change from warrior mode to pack member mode, he needed to know how to show that he could care for them yet defend them as well or it would be no different then if he were a loner and even though few thought of it and even less spoke of it, no warrior truly wanted to be a loner, even alpha males would call a truce if the two warring packs had a common enemy, maybe this could be used with the skyla? after all zentha was a very common enemy seeing how he was threatening all the packs not just one.
