Niyah && Yoru Water! Actual running water! Oh how far had she travelled to hear that sound? A long way, a very, very long way. Yoru heard the sound before Niyah herself had, of course. The small Fox had ears like a bat, and would frequently complain of noises that didn't seem to exist. 'Just because your amateur kind have ears like pups, doesn't mean the things I hear don't exist. Maybe you should learn to listen closer. Stupid wolf.' The voice popped into her mind, intruding her thoughts, reminding her that said fox was still trailing after her, surprisingly quiet, for once.
'Alright, alright, calm down. We're almost there anyway, so don't get narky with me.' The fae grinned down at the vixen, who gave her a mean look, but hurried up to stand within the safety of her larger companion. 'And your sure theirs no pack living here, 'cos, y'know, i'm really not in the mood to get eaten today.' Yoru took a quick look around, scanning for unwanted company. Niyah shot an offended glance at her Opakti. 'You really think i'd come here if I thoguth we'd just get chased off? Honestly, I thought you'd know me better than that by now. Besides, the Liazo haven't ran these lands for a long, long time. Nobody knows whats happened to them.' 'Hmph.' Yoru sniffed, uncertainly.
The two unlikely companions padded towards the delicious smelling river, both with the same thoughts in mind. Fish. Surely there'd be fish here, right? The nastily high temperatures had made sure their was no food on the ground, big or small, high or low, but the water? Surely it wouldn't have affected that to?! 'Oh I do hope so..'.
Niyah was the first to arrive by the rivers edge, wading straight into the shallows, scanning the surface for any signs of movement beneath. Yoru looked at the water, a look of discust on her pointed face, and settled by the edge, not wanting to get her paws wet, belly rumbling in complaint of how hungry she was, watching her wolf intently. The fae's body shook with anticipation, watching, waitingm praying to the silent moon that their would be some fish. They both needed food, she knew that, and the need for a meal was getting fairly desperate. 'Pleasepleasepleaseplease-' Came the silent pleading from Yoru's mind, '-Sshh, i'm concentrating.'
THERE IT WAS! That ripple of movement, flash of the scale glinting in the sunlight she'd been longing to see. The wolf leaped at it, pinning the fish to the river bed and then clasping it in her mouth. 'YES! FIANLLY! THANK THE NONE EXISTENT LIAZO!' Yoru cried, the sheer happiness and joy wafting from her body. Soon enough, the two canines had a lovely, small pile of dead fish layed at their paws.

Suko was patroling her borders when a noise cought her attention. She headed twords it, knowing full well it was wolves that wern't hers. Today wasn't hot and hunting was in a diffrent part of the territory. SLowing her pace and silencing her steps, Suko crept up to the splashing noise that had allerted her. There on the bank. A wolf and a fox. Suko scented the wind, both female. They were feasting on fish cought from the river. Suko wasn't going to stand for hunting in her turf, even if it was fish.
Stepping boldly out of cover, tail strait, hackles raised, she aproched the pair and, stopping a few feet away, she demanded, "Who are you and why are you hunting on MY land without permission. Answer carefully and you might live."

Yoru heard the wolf approaching before Niyah herself did, and as usual took on a nervous, panicked look. 'Theirs another wolf here,' the young fox said suddenly, a confused look appearing on her face and fogging up her mind as she breathed in the new scents, 'she smells like ... Well, almost like a Liazo wolf. That can't be right, can it?' Liazo? That was a surprise, surely not? Niyah had thought the pack to be long since extinct, infact, she was fairly certain the entire Island assumed the pack to be dead. It was considered common knowledge.
'you think she's the real deal, or just another loner?' The femme asked the fox, noticing the wolf's dominant stance. Perhaps this female was a pack wolf, she most certainly smelled like one, but a Liazo? Was that even possible anymore? 'Maybe she's a Skyla or Xyla wolf? Perhaps they've decided to expand their lands, now that the Liazo are no longer around.' Yes, that certainly made more sence. The packs were greedy, and it would only be a certain amount of time before one of them tried to get the now unguarded territory to call it there own. Most likely she was just a pack alpha.
It was a good theory, yoru had, except one thing that just did not seem to fit. Niyah had met the Skyla Alphess, face to face, heck, she'd fought her. If she were to run into Senna again, their was no doubt in Niyahs mind that she'd recognise her, and most likely, the alpha femme would know who she was, too. And this wolf definitely wasn't Senna. Unless of course, the femme had challenged and defeated the Skyla Alphess. An appealing thought to believe, but very unlikely.
So that just left the Xyla. Neither Niyah nor Yoru knew much of that pack, but they had walked the border line many-a-time in search of food, so were familiar with their scent. And whatever smell it was coming from this strange fae, it was not that of the Xyla. Yet the wolf was stood with a dominant stance. The stiff legs, raised body, tall tail. Definitely the posture of an alpha wolf.
'Who are you and why are you hunting on MY land without permission. Answer carefully and you might live.' Well, that confirmed it. She had claimed these lands, which put niyah in a very tricky situation. Technically, she was now trespassing. 'Lets leav while we still can ..!' Yoru thought at her, frantically hopping from on paw to the other with nerves. Niyah flicked a glance at the fox, then down to the fish at their paws, before giving her full attention back to the dominant fae. Lowering her body in an attempt to show she meant no harm, and regarded the fae as above her, she asked the question that had been burning the two females minds. "I am Niyah, a mere wanderer of Kongrai. You are with the Liazo pack?"

Suko watched as the fey showed submissiveness to her in order to placate her. It worked slightly, she no longer wanted to kill them immediately but they where still trespassing on her land and should either join her pack or be punished. She'd save that decision for later. "I am Suko, Alphess of the Liazo. And YOU are hunting on MY land. Wanderer or not, pack borders and rules are to obeyed. How should i punish you for this?" she said in a low mean voice. It was mostly scare. She wasn't going to kill them as she would have a body to move away from her fishing river, but laws are to be followed and these two not only trespassed but also hunted on pack lands ruled by her. No, she wouldn't kill but she could badly injure her as punishment. Suko stood her ground while she waited for the Fae to reply to her threat.

Her submissive stance seemed to have the desired affect, as that threatening, perhaps dangerous glint in the dominant faes eyes began to fade slightly. But what she had to say next came as a surprise to both the wolf and the fox. 'I am Suko, Alphess of the Liazo. And YOU are hunting on MY land. Wanderer or not, pack borders and rules are to obeyed. How should i punish you for this.' Niyah observed the femme, taking into account everything she had learned in these past few minutes. So the Liazo were back, were they? How was that possible? She'd seen their downfall, and this wolf had definitely not been there. The femme could remember the old alphas, although their names were lost on her.
'She can't be a Liazo Alpha. Its just not possible!' The young fox thought, confused and outraged that this had happened, and she didn't know of it. Yoru liked the know the packs buisness, see. It was how Niyah had done so well in life. 'Well, why not? She sure looks like an Alpha, and if she says these are her lands, then they must be!' The fae replied in her mind, not quite taking the news as hard as Yoru was.
"Perhaps, as a sort of punishment, you'd like me to serve you in your pack? I am a very skilled fighter, i've gone up against the Alphess of Skyla herself, and come out of it alive. And Yoru here has better ears then any wolf alive." Niyah said, outloud this time, bowing down to the dominant famora. 'Yoru, bow.' she commanded silently. 'You gotta be kidding me.' 'Do it, NOW.' So the vixen bowed, just as her master did, to the Alphess of the newly revived pack, Liazo.

Suko listened to the Fae as she claimed she fought the Skyla alphess and came back. If she really did do it, then this was a rare find and would make a good addition to her pack as long as the Skyla alphess didn't come looking for her to kill her. She watched as both the Fae and her companion bowed in respect to her. This, along with the battle info, managed to calm her down all the way and she sat down relaxed for now. "If what you told me is true," Suko began slowly, "than you would be a good one to have in my pack. If you manage to prove yourself worthy that i might elevate you to a higher status than just a warrior, but for now that can be your place. So take it or get off my land." She watched them with eyes that showed if they chose the latter, they weren't getting away without a small punishment.

'If what you told me is true, than you would be a good one to have in my pack. If you manage to prove yourself worthy that i might elevate you to a higher status than just a warrior, but for now that can be your place. So take it or get off my land.'
Niyah nodded in way of acceptance, even though Yoru was screaming outraged insults in her mind. 'Are you crazy?! What the hell do you think your doing?! We don't join forces with other wolves, its not the way we live! And a pack, for gods sake! We can't afford to get caught up in their pitiful rivalries, especially when you've stupidly managed to put yourself in the bad books of so many of these canines!' The young fox spat in her mind, looking at her wolf with a look of discust hovering in her eyes. 'Well your going to have to get used to it, ideot, because we can't go back now. Besides, serving in a pack will give us the protection we need. So shut up moaning.' Niyah retorted with a low growl, before sending an apologetic smile at her new Alphess.
"It would be an honour to serve you and your pack. For both of us." The fae said gratefully, aiming the last section of her words at Yoru, who snorted, but bowed to Suko respectfully. 'I sure hope your tiny brain knows what its doing.' The vixen snapped again in her mind, taking several steps closer to the two wolves, now she was sure their was no chance of getting herself eaten by this Alpha. She had no idea what game her wolf was playing, by joining this pack. The pair had been coping perfectly well by themselves, but no. Niyah just had to go ahead and committ herself to another wolf. And not just anyold set of a wolves, but a pack. God this was just what she had been hoping to avoid. But she had no choice now, yoru had to do what she was told, and if that was to serve a pack, then so be it. She would have to.
Niyah thought over the conversation she had just had, going through all of the details in her head carefully. A warrior. That meant she would be on the front line, constantly there if anybody was to attack, in order to protect her Alphess, and her fellow pack mates, if their were any. It would be her job to fight, to protect, no matter what the consequences. She could be up against the hardest of wolves, maybe even one of the big five. Perhaps she'd even get the chance to finish things with the Skyla Alphess, if she was lucky, something she looked forward to in her twisted little mind. But to fight to keep her role in the pack? Oh yes, she was going to enjoy this job.

Suko watched what seemed like a argument between the fae and the vixen. It interested her as she didn't have the same connection these guys shared but if she was to have to argue with hers, she'd rather not have it at all. After a bit and it looked like the issue had been resolved, Suko proclaimned, "I now officialy welcome you to the Liazo Niya and Yoru. Finish your catch then follow my scent to the dens. When you arrive i will show you the warriors den and outline your responsibility's. Before that thought," she got up and rubbed her body down the length of Niyah's, "there, now you smell like Liazo." Suko then turned and trotted back to the dens, making sure to rub bushes and trees so her scent trail was strong enough to follow, pleased at her succses at recruiting a new member by herself.

'"I now officialy welcome you to the Liazo Niya and Yoru. Finish your catch then follow my scent to the dens. When you arrive i will show you the warriors den and outline your responsibility's. Before that thought,'
Niyah felt herself swell with pride at her Alphess' words. Her; a pack wolf! Could she even believe it? If she'd have been asked a year ago, what she thought she'd be doing a year from then, her answer would definitely not have been 'a Liazo Warrior'. Still, this fae had had the graceousness to welcome her to her pack, even though she had caught her stealing fish from her river, a kindness she'd have thought just did not exist in life. She would do her proud, Niyah decided. She would take her job seriously, and do her job well. Yoru, however, did not feel the same way. She snorted, outraged at her seemingly new 'Alphesses' words. How had this happened?! Yoru, the mighty fox guardian, the free Opakti, whom had aided her wolf in battle against the most ferocious of canines, was now tied down to a pack. Well, she said the most ferocious of canines, that was not counting Zentha. Although from what she'd heard, from her wolfs constant yabberings about him, he was anything but viscious. Infact, Niyah even seemed to have had some sort of 'romantic affair' with him, which in Yoru's opinion was discusting, but each to their own.
'There, now you smell like Liazo.'
Niyah was surprised to find he Alphess rubbing herself down her side, exchanging in scents, it seemed. The act shocked Niyah, as she definitely had not been expecting this, but she stood firm, trying not to let the sudden gesture knock her over. She could hear Yoru snickering inside, but ignored her, brushing her thought aside without even a 'shutup'. With that, the alphess trotted off into the trees, leaving the pair in their own company. The femme did as she was told, finishing off the fish, and then plodding off in the same direction, feeling full, and content with her life.
ooc: Crappy post, sorry. Niyah Exits, as does Yoru.
