Ladonna This place was so familiar to the fae, the sent and the looks. She titled her head at the surrounding trees and small patches of ice, this place always had a little but of ice even in summer. It took her a little bit, but finally Ladonna remember what this place was. It was the Rocky Outback, this was the place where she broke her leg again and met that other fae.
Ladonna came here because she wanted to escape the brutal sun rays that shine down on the island. It wasn't very cold here like it usually was, but it was enough to serve the fae. As the wolf padded through the area, she panted looking for water. Even here the sun was showing no mercy to her, but she took what ever she could find. Even here, on the usually snow covered rocks, it was warm. Akila was thankful for the strange, cool breeze that traced over the top of the rocks, swirling around her paws. The white wolf was hungry, the lack of prey on the island really taking its toll on her. She's come here as a last resort, hoping that the sun had not caused the snow to melt. She could usually blend in well against the white ground, making any chances of an unsuccesful hunt dissolve in the air around her. But no. She had been wrong. The snow was gone, leaving behind nothing more than thin patches of slippery ice.
Suddenly, as she was sniffing the rocks at her paws in hopes of catching the smell of food, the soft wind bought in a new scent. Wolf. She wasn't alone in this strange but magical place. She had company.
Immediately, Akila was on edge. She was always nervous around other wolves, always. Ever since.. well, always. Especially when she didn't know who they were. She'd put on an aggressive front, not let them get to close, even scare them away, if she could. The fae looked around, squinting against the glare of the sun, but saw nothing.

Ladonna The fae took a whiff at the air, something was a little different. The presence of another wolf, unable to identify gender. Ladonna decided to dis-guard the other wolf, finding water is far more important then a wolf. And plus Ladonna did not enjoy talking to others, it only left her struggling for words.
Ladonna licked her chops and looked up, she tried to keep going. She slipped on the thin lair of ice causing her to lose balance, but only for a short time. A rock or two came tumbling down hill and that made her pick up the pace, to be honest the last thing she wanted was conversation in this blazing hot weather. Akila sniffed the ground warily, trying to make out who and where this wolf was from the faint scent that traced the icy rocks. Picking up an interesting smell, she decided to follow that, padding over the ice cautiously, having to keep an eye on both where she placing her paws, and the area around her, incase this new wolf made an appearance.
Then she saw it, in the very corner of her viewing range, the outlined figure of a wolf, the wolf, duging by the scent she was picking up. Curiosity getting the better of the fae, as usual, she plodded slowly closer, debating silently to herself whether she should be keeping a distance or not. She lowered her nose the ground again, taking a long sniff in. It was a fae. Definitely a fae. That put her more at ease, it was generally the brutes that made her nervous, not the fae's.
Deciding that her need for food was increasing by every second, the white wolf trotted over to where the other fae was, keeping an eye on the tumbling rocks that seemed to enjoy falling, and lowering her body height to show she had no intention of posing as a threat.

Ladonna Ladonna saw to her side, a fae wolf. The wolf seemed to want to socialize, she could tell just by the way she walked over to her. Ladonna stopped walking and looked at the fae, her social skills aren't the best... But Ladonna really didn't have a choice at the moment, time to improvise.
Ladonna titled her head and said Hello. It was clear to her that the fae was not a threat, judging from her body posture. Ladonna loosened her muscle tension knowing she didn't need to stand her guard, she also lowered her head showing she didn't pose as a threat either. 'Hello.' The sudden sound of speach shocked her, almost making her jump. It was something she had not heard in a very, very long time, and her mind relished in it. Akila hadn't realized what effect the lack of company had had over her, but now their was a wolf nearby again, she felt it. The craving for company. For communication. For companionship.
The fae padded up to the wolf, stopping at a distance that made it possible to talk, but also keeping a safe enough space between them so that if the need be, she could make a quick exit without getting into a scrap. Fighting in this weather was out of the question. 'Hello,' she said, the slight hitch in her voice the only evidence she was giving of how nervous she found herself feeling, 'I don't suppose .. you've, well, seen any food? I can't even begin to explain how hungry i am.'

Ladonna Hello, I don't suppose .. you've, well, seen any food? I can't even begin to explain how hungry I am. Kind to think of it, Ladonna was pretty hungry. Traveling for a while in the middle of summer would starve you, Ladonna responded, I'm am very sorry, I have yet to find even the slightest scrap of food. You'd think in this weather it would be easy to find a creature starving out here.
Ladonna saw the unnatural color of blue in the fae's eyes, well considering she was a white wolf it would be common for her to have blue eyes. It was so unfamiliar to her. Ladonna can't remember the last time she had a decent talk with anyone, besides meeting up with her sister for the first time since her pup-hood forest fire. 'I'm am very sorry, I have yet to find even the slightest scrap of food. ' The white femme actually felt her heart sink as she heard these depressing words. No food. Still, atleast the fae seemed to be being friendly. She had half expected for the first wolf she'd seen in months to be a nasty, hostile creature. But no, thankfully, she seemed pleasant enough. 'You'd think in this weather it would be easy to find a creature starving out here.' 'I'd have thought so too, but i haven't even seen anything dead. I don't know where everythings gone. Even the wolves have dissappeared, your the first i've seen in ages.'
The start of conversation had taken her mind off of things for a minute or two, but now she was starting to feel the sun again. The heat was burning her back, even through the long, thick fur that covered her body. Akila glanced around for any signs of shade, but saw only flat, ciy rocks. No sign of tree, nor vegitation.

Ladonna I'd have thought so too, but i haven't even seen anything dead. I don't know where everythings gone. Even the wolves have dissappeared, your the first i've seen in ages. Ladonna sighed to herself and looked up, she saw nothing but the cloudless sky and the blazing hot sun, she said As bright and hot the sun is, Summer is a dark and cruel season. She paused, I have seen only three wolves in a year, even in the winter which worries me. Either this land is larger then I thought or there aren't many wolves at all.
Ladonna started to dwell on the thought of the wolf population on the island, there were so little wolves. She hadn't even met a brute yet; She started to forget about her hunger and she was more focused on the weather. Something had accured to Ladonna that she did not know this fae's name, Excuse me, but may I know your name? I'm Ladonna Mood: Worried Song: Strangers Like Me Time: Afternoon Companion: Akila

Akila watched as the femme infront of her looked up to the skies, and followed her gaze, only to find herself staring into the glare of the summery sky. 'As bright and hot the sun is, Summer is a dark and cruel season.' The white fae couldn't agree more with this statement. She was a winter wolf, her entire build made for keeping warm in cold climates. She wasn't suited to this kind of weather. The heat of the sun caught in her thick, white fur, heating her body up to unnatural temperatures that she really did not enjoy. This season wasn't her favourite, at all.
'I have seen only three wolves in a year, even in the winter which worries me. Either this land is larger then I thought or there aren't many wolves at all.' Thinking back properly now, Akila herself hadn't seen many wolves on her travels this year either. There'd been one she remembered distinctly, an interesting brute that had really quirked her curiosity. What was he called again? Flint was it? Yes, that was it. Flint. Unfortunately, she'd happened to meet him on the scariest day of her life. She'd found him out on that island, the small one off the shore of Kongrai, his paws all messed up, and they'd come under attack from those horrible two-legged creatures, and their dirty mutts. Akila found herself wondering what he was doing now, whether he'd managed to get to the shore Ok.
'Excuse me, but may I know your name? I'm Ladonna' The words bought her back to her sences, but it took the femme a few seconds to work out what it was she'd said. Ladonna. That was a nice name. 'Akila. And the populations going down I think, even the packs have dwindled down into hardly anything. Lack of Brutes, I'd say.' She said, with a cheeky grin, and a laugh.

Ladonna Akila. And the populations going down I think, even the packs have dwindled down into hardly anything. Lack of Brutes, I'd say Ladonna gave a smile, not only was this fae well mannered but she had that nice of sense of humor. It made Ladonna think, maybe the population was going down. She found ways that could be good and bad: Good because there would be more prey on the island, bad because if the island became completely forgotten this isolated paradise would be nothing but a faint memory.
Be that as it may, she paused and thought for a second, maybe that really is the cause of the population decrease. Ladonna continued, It seems the entire "law" of the land is wrapped around the concept of population and season condition. Ladonna started to realize that Akila may be what she can call, a friend. 'Be that as it may, It seems the entire "law" of the land is wrapped around the concept of population and season condition.' Akila thought about this for a minute, settling herself down into a more comfortable position, taking the weight off of her legs for a much needed rest, but keeping her head up to keep a steady gaze on Ladonna. The darker fae certainly seemed to know what she was talking about, and Akila trusted her words to be correct, as all the evidence was there. She nodded in agreement. 'It certainly seems that in the 'harshest' conditions, of Summer and Winter, the numbers go down. Although where all the wolves go, I can't think.' Akila couldn't believe they'd all just die off, surely not? Perhaps the two-leggeds and their dogs had something to do with it? Their'd been more and more sightings of them lately, but that wasn't something she wanted to bring up, especially when she'd only just met Ladonna.
The white femme raised her head to look into the sky, glaring at the hot sun that was bearing down on the two of them. It really was getting dangerously hot now, and this was supposed to be the coolest part of the Island! God knows how the ice was still here! They were both sat directly under it though, with no shade to protect them, and it was really getting to her. 'Maybe we should find some shelter? It can't be healthy to sit under the sun at this heat.'
['this isolated paradise would be nothing but a faint memory' Aww, I loved this sentence!]

Ladonna It certainly seems that in the 'harshest' conditions, of Summer and Winter, the numbers go down. Although where all the wolves go, I can't think. If it was fear that made the wolves go hiding away, wolves must be cowards. For wolves are the strongest, smartest thing on this island and the largest canine shouldn't be driven into hiding for such a silly reason such as weather. At least that's how Ladonna saw it, wolves are creatures bred for pride and that sort of pride shouldn't be kept away into hiding with the rest of island. Ladonna shouldn't think such words.
Maybe we should find some shelter? It can't be healthy to sit under the sun at this heat. Now that is most certainly true, Ladonna responded Yes, but shelter is rather scarce now is it? The fae swore she could feel sweat dripping down her back, but wolves don't sweat, they pant. Makes her wonder how on earth the ice patches still existed; She turned her head left and right looking for even the slightest sight of tree or anything of the sort, perhaps the middle of the Rocky outback wasn't the best place to escape the heat? 'Yes, but shelter is rather scarce now is it?' AKila thought about this, and then glanced around. It was true, their was nothing here. It was just ... flat. The white femmes mood plummeted. Bloody Summer! Why did it have to be so .. so .. so hot?! JHEEZ. She frowned, wishing with all her might that a tree would magically appear out of nowhere, provising them with somewhere to hide, out of the glare of the retched sun.
The fae looked at Ladonna. They both seemed to be thinking the same thing. 'Maybe we should move? This is too .. flat, for my liking.' If anything were to come, like, some bigger wolf, looking for a meal, or a rogue pack, they'd be in plain sight. They'd be dead. Akila stood, and began to pad west, in the hopes her new friend would too follow.

Ladonna Maybe we should move? This is too .. flat, for my liking. Ladonna clearly saw her point of view, even with this land being so flat is was hard to see any tree. Ladonna nodded and replied, I agree, lets move. The fae began to pant again, the sun was merciless. Ladonna started to think about how good it would feel when fall comes.
Only a few months to go before that wonderful fall breeze arrives, oh how nice it would be to see those colorful leaves flying through the wind again. But the more Ladonna thought of the cold breeze of fall, the hotter and hotter Summer seemed to be. Ladonna followed Akila to the west, seeking any sort of shelter. ' I agree, lets move.' A feel a relief washed over Akila when the words came out of Ladonnas maw. She'd worried for a second that the fae would refuse, for some reason, and she'd be left to wander around, alone again. But, thankfully, her new companion had agreed, and begun to follow her.
They were trotting west, Akilas tongue lolling out of her mouth in attempts to cool herself off even the slightest. Sure enough, new doubts started running through her mind. Where were they going, exactly? She'd made a point, this season, to stay away from the areas with heavy foliage. It was too dry-a season, and the risk of fires starting up was way to high. A fire was the one thing she could not tolerate, at all. Would not tolerate. Too many bad memories regarding them.
She shifted a worried glance around, trying to thing up another option. Maybe the beach would be a good idea?
(Sorry, not much for you to work with here. In a wee bit of a rush :/)

Ladonna As she followed behind the white fae, Ladonna tried to keep her mind off of the heat. Akila faced towards where the beach was, at least there would be some water they could splash and role around in. Even if it wasn't drinkable, it was water that would hopefully cool them down.
