Dusk. The one part of the day where creatures could emerge from hiding. The relentless heat of summer had driven carnivorous animals into the shadows until it was coming up for night. The blazing, golden orb in the sky was finally laying on the horizon, casting a beautiful aray of colors across the heavens. If only Sorrow Woods looked as amazing as that. This part of the packlands looked horrific most of the time. The branches were twisted and bare, the blood of other wolves was stained on trees and rocks, and the stench of death was sickening. Yet, the Skyla call this home.
A delicate figure slowly crept out of the shadows, catiously smelling the air for any danger. The hot air was still, the only things stirring were the creaky branches looming above. This would give any intruder an ominous feeling, but this pup had nothing to fear. She was not tresspassing. She lived in this hell. Once the young wolf pup was satisfied, she walked out in what was the remaining suns rays. The young femoras touge rolled out as she suddenly flopped to the ground, rolling around in the foliage while batting her paws at the cloud of dust she made. Her mind was set at ease, her soul was nothing short of carefree-there was nothing else this pup could ask for. At least, at the moment. Nemu was in a adventuring mood, and had earlier decided that it was time to venture into the neutral lands to see what beauty beholds there. Of course, when she mentioned this to her mother, she thought she was being much too naive. All the alphess said was 'Be my guest, but your not even a year old yet. You'd be as good as dead.' Her mother words were dark and harsh, but Nemu was used to her callous mother. In fact, she looked up to her. She didn't order her to stay in the packlands, nor was she afraid of what dangers lay out there. Besides, it wasn't like she was that young! She was about nine to ten months old now. Still.. something stopped her from going there. Possibly because of the mating season looming ahead. Lone males could be agressive to a young one like herself.
A deep sigh escaped the ebony pup. "This sucks," She muttered in a monotone voice, her auds flattening out against her skull. She had nothing to do. Her brothers weren't around, and her parents were too busy to train or play with her. They were probably patrolling or mauling something. All she wished for was for someone or something interesting to show up. Maybe a wolf from a different pack would happen to pass by, or some dumb rabbit would cross her path-maybe even another wolf her age would come along! Nemu grinned brightly at all those incidents happening, making her leap upon her paws, wagging her tail and amitting short howls in excitement. Maybe if someone hear's me, they'll come! Yet, moments passed by, and the only thing that happened was a bird fluttering it's wings in a nearby tree. Light blue optics blinked in disappointment as she frowned. No matter how hard she listened, she couldn't hear anyone answer her call. No footsteps coming towards her. Nothing. The Skyla pup flopped down to her belly, laying her head in her paws in boredom. "Well, this seems pointless.." She uttered in slight annoyance. Could she be that bad of company for another? She didn't think so. She curled her soft, bushy tail around her ebon bodice, hoping, praying that something would come along and entertain her.

One more small step, and the foolish bird would be his! All he had to do was get close enough, one more tiny, tiny step, and BAM. Amori completely miss-judged his aim, falling to the ground several leaps away from the small bird, who chirped at him smugly, before flapping off into the sky. The young pup watched it go, annoyed that, yet again, it had managed to escape his hungry grasp. He'd been practicing, alot, in the hopes to pleasantly surprise his parents the next time they took him and his siblings out for training. It wasn't going well, though. That same bird had been messing him around for a week now, seemingly enjoying the pups incapability to catch him. Amori longed to sink his teeth into its body, bring it down to the floor, out of the sky, like a normal animal. Wouldn't be so smug then, would it?
The young male bashed his paw against the ground in anger, only to yelp at the unexpected pain of it. God, why was everything so damn hard?! Stupid, stupid bird. Stupid ground. Stupid everything! Amori padded away from the scene that had just taken place, going through others plans on how to catch the bird in his mind. Because he would catch it. One day. Then his mother and Father would be proud of him. A smile played on his maw at the thought, tail lifting as he trotted through the vegetation, his mood lightened once again.
It surprised him that he had not run into any other wolves during his wanders of the territory. The Skyla were supposed to be the largest of packs on the island, from what he'd been told by his parents. But even then, there was no one here. He may be gradually growing larger in size, but he still wanted to play. He had to much energy, and badly needed to let some of it out. But with no-one to play with, that wasn't going to happen.
It wasn't until slightly later that Mo heard the short, sharp, high pitched howls from over head. His dark ears, perking up at the sound, recognised the voice immedietly. Nemu. The young wolf padded curiously towards the sound of his twin, her scent growing stronger and stronger the more he walked. Finally he spotted the little she-wolf, lying on the ground, head on her paws, looking bored stiff. Amori's eyes narrowed as a smile placed itself on his mouth, ideas already forming in his head. He stalked towards his sisters unexpecting back, getting closer and closer, before launching himself at her, yelling out in excitement as he mock-pounced.
(He's pup 3 from the litter (i think 3 anyway?), just never got round to creating him)

The Skyla pup lay motionless, paying no attention to her surroundings anymore. It seemed clear to her that there was no one to share her company with. Not even her own family. Once more, she breathed a heavy sigh, her sapphire pools drawing to a close. She figured if she had no one to play with, or at least have a conversation with, she may as well take a short nap. It was no time before the pup went into her slumber, the only movement from her was her chest rising up and down from breathing.
She dreamed of her notorious pack, running wild and free, bounding after some other wolf. Her pack didn't welcome visitors, nor did it seem they did in her sleep. Yet, her dream took a turn for the worst. While the pup was running, carefree along her siblings and brothers, she stumbled over a rock, and collasped to the ground. She looked up, only to see her pack running off without her. 'Wait!' She cried, over and over-but to no avail. Nemu litfed herself onto all fours, finally noticed that the paw that had stumbled over the rock had broken, making a shot of pain spring throughtout her leg. Whimpering her agony, she could only watch as in the distance, her pack didn't even realise the had a member down. Suddenly, low pitch growls eminated behind her. Her ebon crown swifted looked at to what was behind her. There were wolves-but not from her pack. She wasn't sure what pack, but she knew she could not flee with her paw. She emitted her own growl, but what could one pup do against four other larger wolves? Standing her groud, she could only stay frozen as the wolves bolted towards her. There blood stained talons and fangs were bared at Nemu as they lept towards her, there sharp weapons aiming straight for her jungular-
Bang! Nemu awoke with such a fright, not only fom her nightmare, but from a thud from a wolf that landed right behind her. She leaped up into the air with a high-pitched yelp, then swiftly turned around to snap her jaws at whatever was near her. Just as she was about to latch her jaws onto the wolf, she realised it was no one of harm-it was her brother. Her auds flattened against her skull, glaring at her twin. "Amori! Why'd you have to do that!?" She uttered in a mix of annoyance and fright, still a little shaken up from her dream and his mocking behavior. She gave a shake to her similar bodice, some dust coming out of her otherwise umblemished coat. Calming down a bit, she looked at her twin like she never saw him in a long time. It was probably less than a week, but it was just that time that her and her brothers went out exploring the packlands more and more. Sure, they were still less than a year old, but the Skyla were a hardy bunch of wolves. Guess they figured it was 'survival of the fittest'.
Before even deciding to converse with her sibling, she bowed her lower half to the ground as her lower end stuck up in the air with her banner wagging slightly. "Fine, you wanna play? I'll play."She mocked, grinning wickedly at Amori. She bolted off towards him, and leaped through the air, hoping to land on him-maybe scare the crap out of him as he did to her.
Muse: 'Bit rushed, sorry. Song: -- Company: Amori. Time:Dusk. Notes: Yeah, the one with the unknown illness. ^^ Should be fun to roleplay with her brother for the first time. :3

The fae padded into the woods, the thoughts of her encounter with the fae and the xyla male still fresh within her mind. as she inhaled deeply taking in any scent that happened to be around her. as she opened her eyes taking in two completely different smells. they were close but for some reason they were still weak.. then she realized that only two things would have a scent this weak.. a dieing wolf or pups and since she couldn't see any birds of prey or any other lowlives in the area. She had to assume that it was pups. Even through they were skyla pups she felt that the should never be unguarded. She started to pad toward the pup's scent. The closer she got the more she could tell from the scent and unless her nose was wrong there was indeed to small pups dead ahead. As she rounded a fallen tree her thoughts were confirmed. She didn't want to scare them that would be the last thing she wanted. Cinder may be a heartless fae when it came to alot of things but when it came to pups this did not apply. She seemed almost normal when she was around the pups but if anyone thought of this as an weakness would be sorely mistaken.
as she walked up apron the pups. she made sure that they knew that she was not a threat. she tired her best to hide her exhaustion from them as well but this was not easy. As she kept yawning every few minutes.she could of blamed it on the dusk but it was no use. She didn't have the energy to fight anyone or come up with any excuses at the moment. She just wanted to ensure that the pups were safe but she had trouble keeping her eyes open. She slowly gave up and just laid down watching the pups.

A playful smile erupted onto Amori's maw when he heard the satisfying yelp as his sister woke suddenly. She leapt up, turning on him in a viscious manner, one that he'd often seen in their mother. Thankfully, she stopped her attack as soon as she saw who he was. Her teeth fatal seconds from him. The wolf pup glared at her. "God Nemu, why you got to be so violent all the time?" He snapped, eyes narrowed in an astonished manner. She could have hurt him! Or worse, she could have killed him. No. Amori shook his head, quickly evaporating those wild thoughts. Afterall, he could beat her in a fight .. even .. even .. even with his eyes closed! That was how good he was now. 'Cause he'd been practicing. Alot. The male smiled smugly to himself, contempt with his opinions.
That smug grin soon dissapeared, however, when he spotted what was coming next. His twin ran at him, faster than he had ever believed, not giving him any time to react properly. He tried to pull his body up into the defensive stance he'd seen the older wolves use, but was not quick enough. Her paws hit him square in the chest, sending him flying onto his back. Amori rolled quickly, annoyed at himself, and Nemu. "Hey no fair! You didn't even give me a chance!" He whined, gearing himself up into another mock attack. "Your the worst."
Amori was so focused on getting back on his sister, however, that he did not notice the strange scent that had now entered the area. If he'd been paying any attention, he could've noticed that, whilst the scent was Skyla, their was something else in it, too. Something he did not quite recognise.

The fae slowly padded closer to the pups as their scent grew abit stronger but not by much. As she settled down into a laying postion after walking into where the pups could see her normally without having to strain their lil eyes. She chuckled softly as she watched them play around but she knew that they were learning the very tools they would need later in life. She didn't mean to interupt their play-time she just wanted to ensure that they were indeed safe from any predator or rival wolf that might of been in the area. All through she didn't have a lovely pup-hood she was determined to make sure what she had gone through never happens to anyone else. If anyone wanted to harm any pup or young wolf while she was around they would have to go through her first. She sighed abit as she started to remember her past but it wasn't as bad since kaija and senna had saved her. But she still regretted not having the life of a normal pup and it shows in her everyday interactions with others. But she would never act up around her alpha or alphess. She knew what would happen if she did so but ontop of that she had to much respect and admiration for her leaders to ever question any of their directions.
As she laid there she flopped onto her left flank causing dust and leaves and what ever else happened to be on the ground around her light enough to be moved she caused it to fly a few inches into the air all around her body. as she groaned softly and yawned at the same time her exhaustion getting the better of her at this point. But she really wanted to keep an eye on the pups that were still playing less then two feet away from her. she slowly lifted her head from the ground shaking off the debris off of her fur and laid her head back down onto her paws now watching the pups. but just then she spotted a disagreement go down and decides to get up and pad over before it could go any further. As she aprorched the group she spoke softly. "What seems to be the problem here young ones?".

Nemu had a mix of feelings when her twin deemed her as 'violent'. One was an overwleming, proud sensation. Violence was what the Skyla was reknowned for, afterall. Yet, her other feeling of shame came upon her. She could very well have harmed him. Her parents had a 'law' for the pack, that they could cause havoc among other wolves, but never should they harm one of there own pack mates. If she happened to kill her brother a few moments ago, she knew her alpha parents would not hesitate to punish her.
After a succesful hit on Amori, she grinned mischeviously as he complained about her. "All is fair in love and war.. I think." She replied in a mock-tone, sticking her touge out at Amori. It wasn't the first time she did this. She was a devious whelp, has been since the day of her birth. Some of the pack used to call her 'a miniture version' or her wicked mother. Of course, she took that as a compliment. To grow up as powerful as her mom was a goal to her. Coming back to reality, she watched as her brother prepared himself for an attack of his own. Please, he wasn't thinking he could beat her, could he? Smiling playfully at her younger sibling, she too got into a mock-defensive stance, ready to have some fun. That is, until a voice bekoned her ears.
"What seems to be the problem here young ones?"
Nemu quickly stood up normally, only now realising that there was another wolf here-not to mention how close she was. How could she be so naive not to notice her? With her nostrils flared, she quickly thought of what her mother taught her to do. 'Before you become defensive to any wolf, make sure to check there scent-incase they are Skyla. That's exactly what she did. The scent that wafted into her nose was indeed, a Skyla scent. She was part of the pack.. perhaps a new arrival, since she had never met her before. "Umm, nothing!" The ebon femora quickly responded, hoping that she could return to playing. After all, playing with Amori was like playing with a berry-she could beat him any time! "It's just that.." Nemu paused briefly, looked back at her similar-looking brother. "Well, my brothers being wimpy and can't handle a girl playing with him!" She giggled softly, knowing well that he'd be furious. Guess she was bad company afterall.

The fae slightly chuckled as she looked to the sky.as she let out a sigh her ears laying back against her skull as she started to think of her own brother but then she shook her head and looked down at the pups. As she would speak softly. "Well.. Deary you really should be nice to him and he to you because,". She sighed again before continuing." You'll never know who you will need in the future". She knew that they were just playing but one thing could turn into another. She knew this all to well and didn't want someone else to go through the same thing she had already gone through. She leaned down to the female pup and grinned softly as she whispered in her ear. "Besides.. we both know you could easily take him, so don't hurt his pride". This kinda made the female chuckle softly as she slowly brought her body back into a proper standing position. As she glanced over at the male pup and gave him a playiful smile and a wink before walking back to her tree.
Laying down under it to give the pups the room to play. without having to worry about her interfering again but she would interfer if she thought something was wrong. but who would be stupid enough to confront a she-wolf when she was guarding pups. That was basically suicide. Well unless it was her alpha or alphess they could get away with anything and everything in her eyes. She wouldn't dare question Senna especially when it came to the pups and Kaija was even worse then his mate but she loved them both equally and did her best not to anger them.

The older wolf seemed to appear out of nowhere. Amori sat down instantly, taking a second to shoot a nasty look at Nemu, who was looking at him with that horrible, smug little smirk she wore oh-to-often, before turning large, innocent eyes on the adult Skyla femme. He'd seen her around the lands often, and knew she could be just as sick and twisted as his parents were. She wasn't a threat, though. The pup was comforted by the fact that she wouldn't hurt a member of her own pack. Especially since he was still only young, something he could often use to his advantage, when getting on the nerves of his older pack mates.
'What seems to be the problem here young ones?' Amori tried on his most innocent of looks, one that could quite easily melt the heart of a soft femme, make them want to protect the young pup with their lives, and was about to make up a compalint about his sister not playing fair, when Nemu piped up, in her stupid, high pitched tone. 'Umm, nothing! It's just that.. Well, my brothers being wimpy and can't handle a girl playing with him!' The young male could not believe his ears, and cried out in outrage, "What?! That is not true! She was being way to rough! It was like she was trying to eat me! Seriously!"
God. Why did she have to be such a kiss ass?! The Brute glared at his sister, her high pitched giggling only making him even more irritated. Could she possibly get any more infuriating?! He ran through come back in his mind, trying desperately to think of something to say, needing to get the last word in. But no. Nothing clever, nothing snide, nothing quirky came to him.
'Well.. Deary you really should be nice to him and he to you because, You'll never know who you will need in the future.' Well, what Cinder was saying was quite true, he had to admit. Amori knew fully well that if anybody tried to harm his sister, in any possibly way, whether it was now, or in the future, when he was a big strong wolf, he wouldn't hesitate to protect her. She was his sister, after all. His blood. Of course, he would never admit this to her. Never in a million years. A small smile began to grow, slowly, on his maw, but quickly vanished at the femmes next words. 'Besides.. we both know you could easily take him, so don't hurt his pride.'
The words were barely a whisper, directed to Nemu, but Amori's sharp ears still picked them up, faintly. He looked at both of them in discust. That was it. He had had it with femmes. Nothing but irritating, soft talking meanies, they were. Typical that the females would gang up on the only male here. Just because he would be stronger as an adult. God. Talk about moody. Amori watched the femme retreat, his outraged gaze swapping from Cinder to Nemu, completely lost on what to say next. Stupid girls.

Nemu didn't think she could giggle any longer-that is, until her outraged brother of hers yelled in defiance after explaining to her pack mate that he couldn't handle a girl. That just made her laugh harder. She loved Amori to death, but nothing amused her more than to get on each and everyone of her brothers nerves-especially his nerves. They all would get grumpy and throw a fit, while she would grin happily with every disturbence she cause with her siblings. Devious was not quite the word to describe this 'innocent' whelp. A list of words was more like it. Sapphires gazed back at the dark brute, his eyes burning with such intensity that it only made her smile grow larger. How she had grown to infuriate others, to push buttons of others-it all had to be passed down from her mother. Not only was she almost a dead-ringer, but she guessed Sennas traits may also have been passed down to her.
The sable-hued female glanced back up at the older female, nodding her head to agree. She was right, as much as she wanted to believe she would never need anyone for help in the future. Packs had a better chance of survival than loners, so she had to be right. The next time she spoke into her attentive auds though, a smirk broadened considerably across her dark lips at her 'kind' words. Ha! She knew it-even an older wolf knew she could take him! She basked in the overwelming sense of pride she felt, making her feel like one day, she could possibly be better than her callous mother, Senna.
Optics darted back to her twin-brother, noting the obvious displeased look plastered upon his face. There was no doubt that the male heard what the other female had shared for(what she thought) her ears only. With a smile remaining on her maw, she nudged her brother with the tip of her nose before poking at him with her paw. "C'mon now, don't be mad," She re-assured with her dulcet tones, taking another one of her 'sincere innocent' looks. "Besides," her vocals emitted once more, "You probably couldn't handle a boy either." She smirked wickedly before leaping off into the trees, making sure to stay near the area her twin and other skyla member were in. She knew the other nameless female was watching over them-weither her parents wanted her to, or she just felt the need to watch over the alphas heir, but she trusted her nevertheless. Besides, she'd have some respect for anyone that take her side over Amori's. Laughing softly once more, her well-groomed banner wagged playfully as she continued to bounce around the trees.

The young femme padded over to the pup known as Amori as soon as she knew his sister was far enough away and unable to hear them whispering. she bent down to the tiny brute and proceeded to whisper in his left ear. " come on now let her have the victories when your lil, after all when you grow up you will be a mighty warrior but..". she glanced over to the small fae then back at him. " her choices in life won't be so easy. so don't take her teasing and rough playing so personally". She then proceeded to lay down beside him and licked his ear like a mother would do to her pup. of course she knew he wasn't her pup but still she enjoyed having someone to watch over. after all she couldn't be heartless all the time. she ment that it wasn't as easy as kaija and senna made it seem. but then again they were the alpha male and alpha female so they had to know a few things that she didn't.
Cinder wasn't jealous of them per say she just found it alil amusing how they only seemed to care when it came to the pups. which made perfect sense if you thought about it they were the future of the pack after all and had to be protected and trained properly and who better to do that then the alphas themselves. Although they did trust cinder to watch over the pups. they did not allow her or anyone else to train them how either. but it wasn't like cinder was about to argue that point with two of the most deadly members of the skyla pack. she simply laid there with the small brute and watched his sister play in the distance.

'C'mon now, don't be mad. Besides, You probably couldn't handle a boy either.' THAT WAS IT. As Nemu fell about with her stupid girly giggles again, Amori prepared himself to lunge at her. He'd show her who's boss. He'd show her that he could take her down, no matter how tough she thought she was! He'd wipe that stupid, irritating little smirk off of her face. But before he could launch himself at her, she bounded off into the forest, wagging her tail irritatingly. He hated her, actually hated her, and was considering going off into the forest after her to kick her smug little behind, when the adult wolf spoke again.
'come on now let her have the victories when your lil, after all when you grow up you will be a mighty warrior but.. her choices in life won't be so easy. so don't take her teasing and rough playing so personally.' A smug smile formed on his maw, enjoying the idea of him growing into a 'mighty marrior,' and he had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, regarding Nemu's 'choices in life that won't be easy for her,' but quite frankly, he couldn't care less about them, he wanted to know more about him being a warrior! Maybe she was some sort of fortune teller, and what she was saying was true! He could be as good a fighter as his father, better even! He could be the greatest warrior Kongrai had ever known, go up against his fathers greatest enemy, that Xyla wolf, Shade was it?, that Kaija was always getting angry over. He could fight him with his father at his side, it would be the greatest battle Kongrai had ever known, and he would be there too!
But then something else happened. The female wolf gave him a big lick on the left ear. Urgh, this was just what he needed! Amori wriggled himself, the smug grin completely whiped off of his maw, and replaced with a grumpy grimace. He didn't try to escape, though, he'd done that before. Tried to get away when his mother was giving him a wash, which only resulted in a paw holding him down, which wasn't the most comfortable of things. So he just sat grumpily, itching to get out of her grasp and get back at his sister.

The normally deadly vixen seemed to smile at the small pup as he struggled abit trying to get away. she knew that it was no use for him to try but allowed him to try anyway.but as she went to give the pup another lick the fae's ears shot up, she had definitely heard something, something that was not to friendly. the fae stood up and faced where she had heard the "disturbance" but realized she was stuck she couldn't very well leave the pups unguarded to go and see what it was and she couldn't just wait for it to come to them and possibly pose a threat to the pups. Thinking quickly the mexican fae glanced over at the young male pup and said. "Find your sister and hide now!". the fae then braced herself for what ever the oncoming threat was.
She knew that she may of had to fight. which in that case she was completely ready to do so. but her main concern was keeping the pups safe but just as she went to assume the worse. she smelt the air and to her surpise it was the scent of the alpha male. But why was he so close?.. Was he coming to check on his offspring?.. Either way this kind of made her relax but not by much as she knew that he could be as deadly as any predator. but he would never harm his offspring but her on the other hand. he just might if he was in a foul mood.

Oh, was Amori ever furious! The carefree vixen bounded around the trees and foliage, not taking in consideration that perhaps the males feelings(or pride) could have been affected in the process of her teasing. Nemu was too wrapped up in the moment. She was glad that she had the company of her pack with her, and that she could test her brothers patience. She was hoping for him to make one of his little outbursts, try to chase her to start a dispute, which would make him end up under her paw. Nemu eventually came back to reality, looking back to see if her brother gave chase. Yet, he did not. Not even a snappy comment from her sibling? It was a little strange.. it wasn't like him to just drop her teasing like it was nothing. He was hot-headed sometimes, and for him to just let it go came as a bit of a shock to her. Slowing down her pace, she changed her course and headed back towards her brother. Once she reached him, she could not believe what her bright pools had seen-he was getting a little bath from that fea! Oh, this was just-awesome. She grinned ear to ear as she watched the disgust appear on his face after he winced time to time as she licked him. Oh this was good. She wasn't sure if they could see her or not, but she sat back on her haunches to watch. Nothing could amuse her more then the faces Amori made.
"Find your sister and hide now!".
The sudden alarming outburst from the older female had come as a surprise to the younger fea, her dial twisting and turning to see if she could find anything out of the ordinary. As far as her optics could see, there was nothing dangerous around.. but, there was a noise. A soft growl rumbled deep in her throat, hackles starting to raise. Nemu was not raised as a coward. She was taught at a young age to stand her ground, and face her enemies. She wasn't sure if it was even an enemy yet, into the familiar scent waftd into her nostils. "Dad..?" She said out loud, unknowingly. What was he doing here? She thought he was busy taking care of other business.. then again, her parents made there patrols more often these days. As the sense of alarm died down, she trudged back to the other wolves, making a re-assuring smile that she was fine.

KAIJA,
It had been a long day. A very, very long day. The male had been patrolling his territory since before the sun had even made its appearance in the sky, leaving the comfort of his dreamless sleep to wander these godforsaken lands, with nothing but his faithful Guardian, the jet black, Raven shaped Opakti, and the morning chill setting deep into his bones, to keep him company. Regardless of those factors, however, the Brute was feeling unusually high spirited, something that did not come often these days. He had one main priority right now, something that had triggered upon the arrival of Mating season. He needed to keep any non-Skyla males out of his lands, at all costs. He had to keep them away from his pack, away from his pups, and most pressingly, away from his mate.
'Can we please take a break from this obsessive guard buisness?!' Tamen begged once again, for the third time in the past one hundred ft. Kaija smirked as the Raven pathetically flopped to the ground, using the last of its energy to hop after his master, attempting to keep up his wolfs pace. 'How can you possibly call yourself a Guardian, when you can baarely stay in the air for half a day?' The bird snorted at his reply, offended by his use of words. 'It has been more than half a day, for your information. Can we not just take a break? Just a small one, so i can catch my breath!' The Skyla alpha laughed, amused by his pleading, but obliged, stopping in his tracks for several minutes to allow his Opakti some time to rest his pathetic wings, before padding on again, through the woods.
It had been a fairly quiet first half of the day. Their had been no worrying scents, no rogues trying to test their luck, no anything, so Kaija had been left to his own thoughts. He hadn't seen Senna in a while, which he would have to do something about, nor had he seen any of the other pack members. The pups had been out and about, so he'd seen them on more or less a daily basis, of course, but other than that, his life was fairly quiet. Something would have to be done, of course.
As he ventured deeper into Sorrow woods, new scent began to mingle with the air, several in particular catching his attention. The Brute recognised them immediately, sort of. They were definitely Skyla wolves, pups, actually; the twins, if he was correct. And then their was another one, a femme, but not Senna. Cinder, perhaps? 'Tamen, fly ahead and see who that is.' The bird groaned, but did as he was told, returning with his report in less than a minute. 'Its Cinder, with Nemu and Amori.' Kaija smiled, his heart warming slightly at the fond thought of his offspring. He could hear chattering, vaguely. 'Find your sister and hide now!' Cinder commanded suddenly, the outuburst almost startling the Alpha male. His hackles raised as he sniffed the air for whatever scent it was that had caused the femme to worry, but to his surprise, smelt nothing. Curously, Kaija padded onward, his pace speeding up ever so slightly, until he emerged into the clearing, his attention settling on the three wolves. "Cinder." He said, nodding his head in greeting, and then settling his eyes on the two pups, who seemed mmore than happy to be sat playing in the company of the pack fae.
ooc: Not RP'd with him in a very long time, so a little rusty.

The fae started to make sure that the pup's were there and calmed down before their father could arrive. as she took in a sigh of relief that it was not a rival male or female that had come to harm the pups. thinking that the were undefended but in any case she would of defended them as if they were her own because in a way she did kind of think of them from time to time as her own. but the truth of the matter was that the were the heirs to the pack and there for the most important pups that the pack had and they must be protected at any cost. "Cinder"
She slowly glanced over at the brute, a cheesy smile upon her maw as she slowly let the male pup up before padding over gently rubbing against that of her alpha. She was glad that he had finally shown up she had really missed having his company although she knew that he was very busy trying to keep the rogue and rival brutes out of his territory. but she just loved how safe she felt around him, in her mind Senna was one very lucky femme to have a brute like Kaija as her mate. she stepped back and started to speak. "Hey.. heh.. sorry about the alarm but its just everything that's been happening.. lately I've gotten word that the humans may of returned to Kongrai then again its just a rumor but it doesn't hurt to be prepared right?.."
It was clear from the way that she stood and the way that she spoke. that she was more concerned with staying on her alpha male and female's good side rather then worrying about the humans or invading males, either way kaija could most likely handle them but she must admit he did look alil bored. Could that of been the reason he had tracked down his pups?.. or was he just out on another one of his all day patrols, which the brute seemed to do more and more lately. she didn't say anything out loud but she doubted that the brute had even seen his own mate in some time. Heck she hadn't seen her alphess in alil while either, she hoped that senna was okay but with all the strange things that happened it was unclear but she knew one thing for certain and that was her alphess was one of the toughest femme's in the skyla pack she had to be to keep up with her mate.

The sudden, masculine tones of her father reached her auds, making her head swivle around to see him. A soft smile creased her lips after he acknowledged them, her tail wagging slightly to show how happy she felt to see him. She didn't think she'd see her dad at al today, on account of how busy he was lately. The pack was all the buzz over some sort of 'season' that was apparently here, making her parents leave to patrol more aften then normal. Due to her young age of course, she didn't quite understand what this season was about, and didn't feel any desires like the rest of the older wolves on Kongrai. She would grow to know about such things when she was around two years old, but for now, nine months old was still considered a pup.
She was about to greet her infamous dad, but Cinder jumped in before her. The nameless femme acted a little stange around her dad, but again, she was too young to understand. Nemu quietly stepped back, to wait for the other two to finish their conversation. Although she was an heir to the alphas, she had to learn her place-not to speak out of line. Besides, she would have plenty of time to spend with Kaija afterwards. The dark-hued femora turned around, only remembering now that Amori was still here. A mischevious smirk wiped the innocent smile off her face as she stared her brother down, creeping over beside him to whisper in his ear. "Amori, why don't we show dad how I can kick your tail right to the Xyla lands?" There she goes again, the teasing just rolling off her tonge likeit was nothing. "Maybe you can even stay there." She dulcet tones suggested, retriving her innocent looks again. Since her dad was busy, the least she could do is keep herself busy. And if pestering her brother was going to keep her occupied for the time being, then so be it-she'd have a great time.

The rythmic beat of paws drummed against the earth as the Skyla alphess ran towards Sorrow Woods, a cloud of dust and debris trailing behind her. Her facial features held a stern look as she quickened her pace to a sprint. She was in heat, and patrolled the lands more frequently, killing or mauling any other female that came near her land. Today was different. On her patrol she encountered two males. They seemed full of themselves, saying that a new leader was coming. The name for such a beast-Zentha. Rumors of him had arose a year ago, only to die out as a whispering myth. The males were persistent on nagging her about there 'great leader', and after a while, she decided that anything or anyone working with that foul beast was not welcome in her lands. So, actions being louder than words, she savagely snapped and lashed out at them until they ran back to their glorious Zentha like the cowards they were-tail between there legs. She didn't know what that legends plans were, but she knew they couldn't be good. Thus, bringing her here, running towards the scent of her family. She needed to share this news with, not just her mate, but with her pack, her family.
Her opakti jackal, Hanataro, ran swiftly beside her, touge rolled out as he panted. "What if he comes here?! He'll kill us-he'll eat me!" The jackal whined, obviously worrying over the the situation at hand. Senna's optics locked stright ahead, not even glancing back at her companion. "I would die before I let that harm my pack." Her voice rasped at the smaller canine. What she said was true-she would fight every last one of her foes until her death before she would let them touch her beloved pack. Her pack would not strive through so many hardships and perils only to let them die at the hand of Zentha's rogues. Hanataro's ears flattened against his skull, still unsure of the fate of the pack with Zentha around. He knew that Senna and Kaija were famously known for being some of the strongest wolves of Kongrai, but Zentha.. he could imagine that with a reputation like his, he had to be strong as well. The jackal could not hide that he was afraid about this, for he was-a lot. "Senna.." The jackal whimpered to his master, hanging his head a little in shame, knowing that he was the one supposed to be comforting him-it was his job as a guardian. The alphas pools, once again, did not turn to met his. "Don't worry about it," She growled in defense of her previous answer, reassuring him in her mid that nothing would harm him.
The large ebon and smaller, beige bodies weaved left and right of trees as they bounded past them. How could this be? The island was in enough of a buzz with all the breeding racket, why the hell would that Zentha character come back? It was still unclear to her. She may never know, but if the rumors of his arrival were true, then she had to inform her pack immidiatly, and to take proper precautions. Senna slowed to a stride as the packs scents grow stronger, her muscles showing through her dark coat as her eyes scanned the area. They were still a distance ahead, giving her a little more time to think. How would she tell her children this news? She wasn't the type to break news to anyone easy-she told anyone how it is, and how dangerous things will be. There was no holding back. Besides, if she did, her pups would probably set out for Zentha themselves. With the band of rogues that accompinied him, they'd make her pups into pulp in no time. She needed to protect her pack, and providing them this information would be valuable to their lives.
As the distance between her and the other wolves lessened, she seen what scents brought her here. Her mate, Kaija, her two pups, Nemu and Amori, and one of her warriours, Cinder. She was unsure of the whereabouts of Hafkin, her other warrior, but there was no time to look for him. She nudged Kaija's neck, a breif show of affection before she had to share the news. Nemu had a surprised smile on her face to see her mother before her, tail wagging happily. As much as she wanted to play with her pups, and be more affactionate with her mate, she had business to take care of. Padding slowly towards the rest of the pack, she sat back on her haunches, her stern expression remained. Her sable-pitched mouth parted to reveal what was on her mind. "I've heard of some bad news.. and I figured you all needed to know in case they come here." She informed, not knowing how they would react on such a short notice.

Amori was not in the slightest bit amused by his sisters antics, only showing any rise to her teasing with a silent glare, followed by his nose in the air to prove that she did not bother him, and he wished for nothing more to do with her today. His tail flicked irritatedly, and he focused all of his attention on how embarassed he was feeling to have the older femme wash him- as if he couldn't do it by himself! So when the familair scent of his father gathered in his dark nostrils, excitement hammered into the young male. Finally, somebody who would listen to his side of the story, instead of instantly taking sides with the girl! Amori had at first been alarmed by the adult fae's sudden outburst, but now he understood, although why she had wanted them to hide from their dad was beyond him, as he did not realise she had not initially known who this new wolf was.
The Alpha padded into the clearing, followed by his funny bird thing that, for some strange reason, always seemed to be hanging around, causing Amori's eyes to narrow, a mischeivious smile forming along his maw. Hunting practice! Kaija walked heavily over to where they were stood, speaking with the adult fae, and amori's attention turned to his sister as she spoke again.
'Amori, why don't we show dad how I can kick your tail right to the Xyla lands? Maybe you can even stay there.' The male glared at his sibling, insulted and outraged that she thought she could do such a thing, when in his mind he tried his very hardest to think up of something sarcastic to say back. Nothing clever came to him though, so he resorted to merely sticking his tongue out at her, the rudest gesture he could think up, before sticking his nose up into the air once again. Instinctively, he sniffed his surroundings, ears swivveling to stand as tall as he could get them when yet another new scent invaded the air, one he knew all too well. "Mum!" Amori squeaked, wanting nothing more than to greet his mother before Nemu could, as she padded into the area, the small four legged creature walking not too far behind her. Another bright smile indulged itself on his mouth as he focused his attentions on the small canine, and then the bird, ignoring what the adult wolves were talking about now. Both would make a great playmate, he thought, stalking slowly towards the canine one.

The fae kind of smiled as her alphess made the scene as well but then that smile faded as she spotted the look in her alphess's eyes. she knew that look all to well.. she must of had a run in with Zentha or atleast one of his followers.. Cinder shook her head from side to side slightly almost in disbelief. as she then heard her alphess speak and it just confirmed what the femme had already feared. As she decided to speak up knowing that she had some needed info for the alphas. "Exuse me my alphess but.. there is something i must tell you and..". she paused and glanced over at her alpha male as she then began to speak again. "And you sir.. i would of said something sooner but.. i didn't want to spook the pups.."
The vixen went silent waiting for her alphas to grant her permission to speak again. as she slowly lowered her frame to the ground, her once swaying tail was now lifeless on the ground behind her, almost as if all the happyness had left the fae's body all at once. when her alphess told them that she had some bad news. the mexican fae's orbits now filled with concern not only for herself but for the safety of the pack and her alphas as well. But no matter how concerned she was she would never ever speak out of turn, especially with kaija around. he would never of forgiven her if she did.
So she just sat there before her alphess and alpha waiting for them to let her speak, she was sure that Senna would want to share her news first and that was fine seeing how it was part of what cinder had to say as well. but they needed to know of the human's appearance once again on Kongrai, cinder knew the human's where here because a short time before she had arrived to watch the pup she had come upon a dead elk but there was no sign of a fight or even a struggle in fact its throat didn't even look touched. Plus there was a strange smell on the animal that cinder could not place, in fact the only wound that the animal seemed to have was a small hole on its shoulder, cinder decided not to touch the animal mainly because it was not her kill.

Nemu grinned as her brother shot a angered glare at her, sticking his nose into the air after he stuck his tonge out at her. Ha! Was that all he was going to do? Well, in her mind, that only confirmed that she could take him-easy. She was about to push his buttons further, but another scent hit her nostrils. A familiar scent, at that. Mom! It was her mother, no doubt. She loved her mother dearly, and to know that she was coming made her that much happier. Though, once her mother entered the area, her tail that wagged in joy soon stopped. The look over her beloved mothers face.. something was not right. The tense air that hung around her made Nemu a little uneasy, shifting her weight from paw to paw.
"I've heard of some bad news.. and I figured you all needed to know in case they come here."
They? Who were 'they' that she spoke of? Curious as the young wolf was, she was still slightly discomforted that something was wrong. Her mother wouldn't have come so urgently if it wasn't important. She looked to her brother to seek some solace, only to see that he was too distracted from her parents.. opakti's, was what they referred them as? She often wondered why they were allowed to follow her parents, but all they said was that 'they were guardians, it's their duty to follow us.' Not long after her mother spoke of some wretched news, the other fea spoke up, baring some bad news as well. As soon as she said she didn't want to spook the pups, she figured that was her que to leave the adults talk, and give them some privacy.
She padded off, not even looking backat the four that were there. She knew whatever news there was, her parents were strong enough to deal with it, and to protect those of her pack. Right now though, she figured it was best to leave it to the older wolves. Besides, this gave her a perfect time to get into some mischef! Her parents were busy, so why not go on a little adventure? She wiped the previous worried expression off her face, replacing it with a devious little smirk. Maybe she would dare to advanture into one of the other packs.. or, maybe even the outlands-yes! That's what she would do! Perhaps she could even convince Amori to accompany her. Her sable-pitch head swiveled around to spot her brother, still pestering her parents guardian.. things. She bounded back to him, going close enough to him that her whispers could only be heard from his ears. "Psst..Amori, wanna go off and have some fun?" She giggled softly, hoping her innocence could persuade her twin like it had so many other times. "Dad and mom are busy.. besides, maybe you could prove that your not totally weak by coming with me-to the oulands. That is, if your not too scared." That had to seal the deal. Even if he decided not to come with her to the outlands, she would obviously go alone. It was finally time she saw what wonders lie outside her packs territory.

Amoris eyes locked onto their target, his pupils twitching slightly at the Jackals every movement. He could vaguely hear the adults talking in the background, and they all sounded fairly tense, as though something important was going on, something which Amori would've taken an interest in, under normal circumstances. He liked the know peoples buisness, see. Always had to know what was going on, even if such things were not meant for his innocent ears. Today, however, he had other things on his mind. These smaller creatures that seemed to follow his mother and father around everywhere made great stalking practice, and what made it even better? The fact that it seemed to annoy the hell out of them in the process.
His mothers voice had stopped, and now it was the time for the other femme to speak, both his parents attention on her, leaving Amori with a perfect oportunity. He changed his target from the four legged creature to the large, black feathered bird, his body lowering to the ground as he stalked towards it. The bird looked at him in discust, his beady eyes twinkling with the small feeling of challenge, as if he was saying; You think you can take me on, little puppy? Amori grinned at the look, tail swishing in anticipation as he got closer and closer, just about nearing the spot where he could jump into a pounce, when a soft whisper sounded in his ear. 'Psst..Amori, wanna go off and have some fun?' Amori lost all concentration, the voice almost maing him jump; he'd been so focused. His rump flopped onto the floor, and he swore he heard the devil bird laugh, as he turned to face his sister.
The Brute was discusted to find Nemu standing incredibly close to him, his face assuming into a sneer, not exactly sure that her idea of 'fun' would be the same as his. Amori liked to spend his days stalking that small bird that small bird that always seemed to get away from him, building up his skills in order to make his parents proud. Nemu however, well, she was a totally different story altogether. She liked getting herself into mischeif, and lots of it. Trouble, too. Trouble that she always seemed to drag him into. Well not today. He did not want her 'fun'. Not at all. 'Dad and mom are busy.. besides, maybe you could prove that your not totally weak by coming with me-to the oulands.' Amori just stared at her, astounded that she was even considering that. Did she not understand the rules their parents had layed out for them?! They were NOT to leave the packlands, not if they wanted to live to see tomorrow, that was what they always said. And, quite frankly, amori liked the idea of still being alive tomorrow. It was alot more fun than not being alive tomorrow.
'That is, if your not too scared.' "I am not scared!" He hissed at her, outraged that she should accuse him of such a thing. Scared? No, he was brave! Brave was his middle name! He could venture into the other packs if he wanted to, he could take on all the other pack wolves at once and win! "Fine." He snapped, "You'll soon see who the scaredy pup of this family is. And it won't be me." With a second glare at his sister, he padded off grumpily towards where she was wanting to go, looking back quickly to make sure she was actually coming, and he wasn't going alone, because that would be sca- No. "I'll show her." The young male muttered to himself.

"Exuse me my alphess but.. there is something I must tell you and..And you sir.. I would of said something sooner but.. I didn't want to spook the pups.."
The alphess looked to the subordinate, a questionable expresstion now overcoming her face. More good news, she pressumed. She had her doubts that her news would be as bad as hers, nor did she like the interruption from her. Though, if it concerned the safety of her pack, she would listen to what Cinder had to say. She looked off to the pups, who were whispering to each other for a few moments before going off on there own to the packlands. She looked back to her pack member, who now layed on a ground in a mix of submission, and an uneasiness about her. With a flick of an ebon ear, accompined by a short low-pitched growl, she nodded, giving her permission to speak. "Fine. The pups are gone now.. what's so important that you need to share with us?" She didn't mean for any of it to sound as harsh as it came out to be, but Senna knew that what she needed to say was urgent.
N e m u ;;
Nemu giggled more as her brother denied being scared. Tch, not yet he isn't. Her maniplative ways got the better of him again as he fell into one of her traps once more. She thought of a different plan each time, and conned him into doing whatever her little heart desired. She loved her brother, but sometimes, he couldn't be more naive. She grinned happily, wagging her soft banner to show it. "This'll be great! You won't regret it, Amori." Finally! She was going off on an adventure. Exploring the wilderness outside her pack, seeing new things, staying out at night-they could do as they pleased, for once! No one could tell them what to do this time. She never considered the dangers outside the protection of her pack, mostly because she was just too excited to think about that.
Her brother walked ahead of her, occasionally muttering and glaring back at her. She just smiled, pure 'innocence' lined up on her delicate features. She bounced towards him before she got beside him. She hummed while her tail continued to sway back and forth, obvious that she was considerable excited for there jorney that was about to begin. Sapphies darted over to her twin before giving a toothy grin. "Just follow me, I know where to go-bet you can't keep up!" Just like that, the carefree wolfess bounded off through the trees, not knowing what she was about to head into..

The fae sighed deeply and glanced around to ensure that the pups were gone then she glanced back at her alphas, she already knew that they would not like the news she had to tell them but she could also tell that Senna was already starting to get annoyed with her, cinder had always known not to interupt anyone higher ranked then her especially Senna!. " My alphas.. i fear that the humans may of returned to our lands", she looked at them and then went on. "Earlier this morning on my patrol.. i came appon a dead elk.. but the strange thing was.. there was no sign of a struggle or a fight.. in fact.. its neck was untouched.." she took in a deep breathe and motioned toward where she had found the elk before continuing her report. " Also.. the only wound i could find.. was just above its left shoulder and it was not big enough to be any predator that lives on kongrai..". As she finished her report she stepped back while bowing to show her alphas the respect they had so surely earned.
The fae gulped softly as she stared at her alpha female, but she wisely did not make eye-contact or she could of been in alot of trouble if there had been a misunderstanding, If Senna even thought for a moment that cinder wanted her position. She had no doubt that senna would kill her and Kaija would just watch and smirk as his mate did so. Regardless of her status with the pack, everyone below the alphas besides their pups were replaceable.
She awaited her alphas reactions and their plans on how to deal with the possible invaders of their lands, cinder would not deny that she missed the taste of human blood in her mouth. But she did not dare to speak again. unless she wanted to face her alphess's wrath... she slowly lowered her body to the ground, her ears laid back in an submissive display. showing that she knew she was no match for either of them.

Kaija watched as the Alphess joined the little gathering, smiling ever-so-slightly when she brushed herself against the side of his neck. Tamen eyed the small Jackal that followed closely behind her with a mix of discust and intrigument showing through his features. The Bird could've taken the opportunity to get a few snide words in, something the pair often exchanged when in eachothers no-so-friendly company, but decided against it. The mutt seemed abit .. tense? As if something was bothering him. Tamens suspicions were confirmed when the mutts wolf, Senna, spoke, her tone as far from joyous as he could ever imagine. 'I've heard of some bad news.. and I figured you all needed to know in case they come here.'
Kaija watched her with interest, intrigued at what she was going to say. His ears twitched slightly at the sound of the twins whispering and snickering with themselves, but he kept his attention on his mate, that is, until the Warrior femme, Cinder, spoke up. 'Exuse me my alphess but.. there is something i must tell you and.. And you sir.. i would of said something sooner but.. i didn't want to spook the pups.' The large Brute raised an eyebrow, curiously wondering what was so important that the femme had interupted Sennas news. He nodded to show he understood, wating to know what both femmes had to say. He silently sat in their company, observing the pairs short exchange of tension filled air, before Senna spoke again. 'Fine. The pups are gone now.. what's so important that you need to share with us?'
Even Tamen flew down from in the trees to get a better spot for listening in on the conversation, his beady eyes flicking from one wolf to another as he waited impatiently to hear what this 'bad news' that everybody was talking about was. He perched himself delicately, flicking a glance at Hanataro, and then back to the two femmes. 'My alphas.. i fear that the humans may of returned to our lands. Earlier this morning on my patrol.. i came appon a dead elk.. but the strange thing was.. there was no sign of a struggle or a fight.. in fact.. its neck was untouched. Also.. the only wound i could find.. was just above its left shoulder and it was not big enough to be any predator that lives on kongrai..'
Both Kaija and Tamen stared at her, gobsmacked and unsure at how to answer this one. 'Oh god, oh god oh god oh god oh god. We're going to die. Thats it, we're all going to be brutally murdered in our sleep.' The raven crowed panicky, his breath coming out in short sharp gasps. 'Shut up, i'm trying to think.' Kaija commanded, still staring at Cinder in shock. 'No, no, no, you don't understand. Humans are viscious creatures. If they find out we're here, we're as good as dead.' The Brute had not been around when the humans had first invaded Kongrai, but he, just like his sister, had heard the stories, and knew of the dangers these creatures bought. He kept himself composed, letting no fear show through his features, even though Tamen was hopping from one foot to another, beside himself with terror.
He looked a Senna, silently hoping that her news was the same. It made sence, the way she had said 'they come here.' The only 'they' he could think of was these humans. Something would have to be done, to prevent the pack from coming under attack. "Is this the same news you were bringing?" He asked her, his voice softer.
