The R a n k s
- Alphas. The alphas are the leaders of the pack, fail to respect them and you will suffer the consquences. They are the strongest out of all the packs members, and gain the most respect. They also make all of the important decisions and decide if a loner may join the pack.
- Beta and Betan. The second highest ranking of the pack. They basically step in when the alpha or alphess aren't around, taking there place temporarily. If, somehow, the alpha or alphess dies, then the beta or betan will take there place, if the alpha's haven't already chosen someone else to take there place.
- Alpha's heir. They are the children of the alpha's. They also have high respect from the pack, almost treating them like a high rank. One of the children may take the place of the alpha/alphess if they die and if the alpha picks one of them. If they don't, then the beta/betan or a new mate takes the leadership role.
- Commander. There are usually 2 commanders in the Skyla pack(One fae and one brute). They must quickly think up of a plan to give out to the soldiers if a fight breaks out.
- Lead hunter and huntress. They lead the pack's hunter's to find food. They direct the lower hunters in what to do during the hunt, and they must be strong and stealthy to sneak upon their prey.
- Medic. Depending on the pack size, their could be however many medics in the pack if they know the right stuff. If a pack member is hurt, they must know what type of herbs to help heal specific wounds, and quickly.
- Trainers. They train the pups/yearlings how to fight, hunt, and other basic things a wolf needs in life, depending on what rank they wish to be when they grow older.
- Hunters. They are key to the packs survival. They are under command to the lead hunters, and they are the ones who bring back the kill for the others to eat.
- Sentry. These are the wolves who scout and patrol the outskirts of the packlands to make sure no enemies are coming. If there are any coming, they quickly relay the message back to the commander, who will make a plan to drive out the enemy.
- Subordinates. They are the newcomers and the soldiers to the pack. The sub-ordinates can also be a regular member of the pack, and are the most abundant. Once a loner comes into the pack, they are immiediatly placed as this unless they specify other abilities. (Meaning if they are good at healing wolves, then they could be placed as a medic.)
- Pup-Sitters. They take after the pups if there parents are away, fighting, or have died. They stop sitting when a pup turns at least one.
- Pups. These are the young wolves recently born, ranging from birth to 2 years. They don't have any responsibilites, they mostly play within the pack untill they grow old anough to be trained by a trainer. They may also leave the pack when they turn two, or stay.
- Omega. The worst possible rank a wolf can get. These are the wolves who did something wrong or have disrespected a pack member. Though, they take up the role to relive tension in the pack, and become somewhat playful.
- Prisoners. Not exactly a rank in the pack, but these are the wolves from other pack or just rogues who have done something to the Skyla. Or, they just took them to torure for some fun. Not all prisoners come out alive. Actually, some may live the rest of there doomed days being beaten.
