Dove-white snowflakes drifted slowly to the ground as the skies were enveloped in grey clouds. It was mid-winter now, and the temperatures had dropped dramatically. It was almost like the harsh winter before this one. Luckily, todays weather was forgiving. Though the temperatures were below freezing, there was no fierce winds ripped through any lupins pelt this day, and it was only snowing lightly. The vast barren lands were covered in snow, and in that snow, had many imprints. Proof that acouple of wolves were around the area. Kongrai has been, for years, a place that held constant argueing, common brawls, and daily bloodshed. An island that was once known as a safe haven for one female wolf. Yet, everything changed a while back when Zentha first returned to Kongrai. Chikako fled the island for safety, fearing that her life was in pending danger with the threat of death looming so close to her. Now, she had returned to her once peaceful home, praying that things have changed. Hoping that tranquility reigned once more.
The wolf could not have been more naive.
Chikako had returned, believing that things have changed for the best, that she would be safe to arrive. Unfortunatly, her optimistic outlook could not have been more wrong. While casually travelling through the barren lands like she used to over a year ago, the femora encountered a large, arctic male. If she had been here longer, she would have heard the rumors of this demon, and to stay clear of him. Unfortunatly, she had just arrived, and being the friendly lass she was, she put a warm smile on her face, and greeted the brute. She did not receive a friendly 'hello' in return. Chii was greeted with a ominous silence and a fierce glare from smoulding, amber optics. Before she knew it, she was in a tussle with the larger canine. Patches of fur were torn away from her skin, blood was sprayed from her knew wounds, and yelps escaped her jaws. This had to be the worst welcoming she had ever received from another of her kind.
Now, she lay motionless in a head of snow, whining ever so softly to herself. Raising her head slightly to shift her light blue optics looked upon the victor with great sadness, Chii managed to open her jaws to speak. "I.. don't understand.." She murmered softly to the brute that towered above her, looking down upon her with no pity, no remorse for what he had done to the innocent female. "What have I done to deserve this..? I dont even know you.." She felt a mix on confusion and immense agony overwhelm her. It was enough to make her go uncounsious, but she strained to stay awake to hear his reply. She needed to know. C r e d o The small, brown and white battered she wolf questioned his intentions for his assault, and what she had ever done to him to make him do this. Her confusion made his crimson-coated lips flash a toothy grin, also noting the pain in her aching bodice. This only enticed him more. "You naive dame.. Credo does not need reason to do what he desires." He replied rather calmly, all the while looking over his 'work of art'-Chii just happened to be the canvus he chose to work on. "Although.. I do suppose I should inform you of my masters desires. The great Zentha has returned again, and wants all to know it. Take heed of this warning, young dame, for if I see you again, Credo leaned down towards his victim, his nose almost pressing against her ear. "I will be your last sight." He displayed a twisted smile to the beaten fea before he licked the top of her head for one last taste of the crimson liquid. As much as he wanted to stay awhile and taste some more, she seemed to be the mere size of an appitiser. Credo had to inform others of his masters return anyways, so he spoke no more to the female, and ran off, leaving Chikako in her own blood and sadness.

im here to help can you walk at all?
this fae was beat up pretty bad but if she could walk just a little its would help a lot. otherwise satarah would have to find some tree branched to drag her on, or attempt to carry her on her back.

Chii receieved a cruel answer from her victor, which was either out of boredom or insanity. She was unsure which was more suitable, for it seemed that this attack was both. The larger wolf leaned close to her aud, his voice growing calmer, yet the underlying tones grew harsher. The poor female did not know which was worse. His radom act of malicious violence towards her, or the simple information of Zenthas return. Her eyes widened in fear. Was it true? Had she arrived to her home, only to return to witness his chaos once more..? The massive alabaster brute gave her a warning that make her spine tingle in fear. His rough touge traced the top of her head, and made her cringe. His voice, seemed everlasting. Before she knew it, the wolf had left, and she was left to deal with her sorrows, painful wounds, and thoughts of the wolfs frightful 'master'.
Chikako felt hopeless. Weak. Even though she didn't die, she felt as if she already were dead. She layed there, motionless in the snow, and just weeped. Her painful whines echoes across the barren lands, praying that some wolf would come and take pity on her. But the wolf has her doubts. Perhaps there was no other kind wolf but her around. And even worse-there was a chance there were others like him traipsing about. Chikakos condition was not too horrible-it was more than likely possible for her to walk, but it wouldn't be without pain. In other words, it wasn't enough to let her die.. at least, if she didn't loose too much blood. Suddenly, she could feel movement at the top of her head.. a touge. She almost cringed, thinking that it was that manical brute coming back for round two.
'I'm here to help, can you walk at all?'
Her ears were greeted with dulcet tones, words from what looked to be a kind-hearted female. An instant, yet soft smile managed to slip upon her lips as both sets of optics fell upon each others. Her gaze were looking back upon caring eyes-it was then that she knew that she could trust this fea. She was so astonded that someone heard her pleas for help, tht all she could do was nod her head, as if she already knew she could do it if she tried hard enough. Turning her body off her side to an upright position, she began to lift herself off the ground with unsteady, trembling legs. Even with all of her effort, she was too shaken and bruised to stand, and collasped on her first try. She let out a high pitched whine when her body hit the ground. Brown auds were pressed against her skull, and her light-blue orbs were filled with pain. Alas, Chikako could not give up. This wolf came to help, so she would do everything in her power to be able to stand like she asked.
Like her first attempt, her second was just as much a failure, falling to her stomach once more. On her third, she put everything she could into it, and at long last, she stood. Her legs were still shaking, but it was to be expected. That wolf was a beast, and his vicious attacks certainly made her body pay the toll. "I don't have much strength to walk.. But if I had support, I think I could make it to some shelter." She spoke, her voice not much more than a whisper. If there was a chance that she could lean on this nameless femme for support, then she shouldn't have too much trouble walking. Chikako was just appeciative of how this wold came to her rescue. If no one came, then she would be in much worse of a predicament.

her own wounds from credo where simular, they were deep and around the legs and back. now though they were almost healed her fur was growing in with a few bald patches where scabs once were. she took a deep breath to calm her own nerve as it semed he was no longer near. her gentle tones escaped once more
do you have any issues with going to the xyla? her thoughts traveled to her opaki Rose who some how was almost back to the xyla. she would let them know they were coming and if some of the pack were free hopefully they would meet them half way or something to assist and protect incase something were happen.

The other wolf didn't seem to mind the idea of Chii leaning on her, so she took the oppurtunity in an instant, letting her small frame fall softly against the strangers side. Chikako didn't even know this wolf, and she was already placing her life in this wolfs care. They didn't even exchange names yet. Perhaps they're just might have been some kinder wolves on this island after all. The silver fea slowly led her onwards, though she wasn't sure where they were exactly headed to. All she cared was to leave this dangerous land, and to tend to her wounds. For most of the walk, she kept her head down to save energy, and let her new companion lead the way.
'Do you have any issues with going to the xyla?'
The silence was broken by her gentle vocals, leaving Chii with an option in her mind. Head towards the Xyla, or.. well, be in more agonising pain in the middle of no where. The Xyla, as she remembered, held no qualms nor quarlles with any pack-they were pretty peaceful. She hoped they remained the same, or else the choice she was picking was wrong. "I don't-as long as they don't harm me intruding upon their territory, then it's fine with me." She answered softly, the pain audible in her voice. It must have been dreadful for this wolf to carry her and another wolfs weight.. a slow, dead weight. Chikako couldn't walk very fast, and her her gait showed an obvious limp. It suprised even her that she was detirmined to keep walking.
A sudden question sparked her mind as she shifted her gaze towards her new 'cane'. "Forgive me, but I didn't even tell you my name-I'm Chikako. You can call me Chii, if you like.." She trailed off, thinking of the friends that used to call her by that a year ago when she was here. The wolfess couldn't help but wondered what happened to them, where they were. Though she couldn't remember all of their names, she did remember a few-like Nyah. A kind wolf.. it seemed like kindness was some sort of rare personality around Kongrai. "Do you belong to the Xyla pack?" The bright-eyes wolf inquired. It was the pack she was bringing her too, so she could only assume that she was part of there pack. She didn't really carry a pack scent, but maybe she was wrong.

"I don't-as long as they don't harm me intruding upon their territory, then it's fine with me."
with he opaki going ahead to give a heads up satarah didnt think they would be too alarmed so she reassured the fae they'll know we're coming. so i dont believe they'll harm you. bringing her new aquaintance to a tree she had her prop herself up there to rest for a moment while she went to cover the tracks with snow. gliding her tail back and forth upon the snow that remained it smoothed out the tracks making them appear older or now longer visible. a second coarse of words escaped her battered friend.
"Forgive me, but I didn't even tell you my name-I'm Chikako. You can call me Chii, if you like.."
Chii, a nice nick name to go with a nice name. satarah smiled softly and said
i always forget to tell others my name too im satarah..
going back the the injured fae satarah went to allow her to prob herself up again so the could go back to moving forward. her ears were upright and alert to the slightest of sounds. she was listening for that white demon who did this, and for the slight sound of another howl calling for her, or an owls wings in the tree tops to guide them. it wasnt much longer before the other faes lyrics sang again with a question, one satarah was still unsure of.
"Do you belong to the Xyla pack?"
a moment of silence follow the faes question as satarah thought of how to answer
well.. im good friends with them, and i am thinking of joining im currently apart of a loner sub pack there somewhere south of here its just me and two others, and i was going to see how they were doing, and tell them my experiences with the xyla to hopefully convince them to join aswell. you see i was coming from the xyla when i stumbled upon you. i know who did this to you also. a white artic demon under zenthas rule. his name is credo. your lucky he didnt eat you he is a cannibal, he tried to eat some pups before winter, i stubled upon them, like you, and stopped him long enough for one of the pups to run off and find help. turned out they were the skyla heirs.
remembering that day she remembered Kaija saying the deed would not be forgotten. whether that meant repayment or kindness satarah would not request it, for if not for them showing up she probably would have been killed, but some would argue if she hadnt of shown up those pup would be dead. which ever the case satarah was still grateful.
{sorry muse is dead lol}

The white, crisp snow beneath her battered frame began to thin out, revealing the earths promise for a good spring-grass sprouts. It was all she could look at, for her eyes remained directed towards the darkening earth. Her companion informed her that the pack they were heading to should leave her unscathed, but what confused her was how they knew they were coming. Perhaps the spiked creature that ran ahead of her would inform them? Chii couldn't be sure. Her mind was already in a daze from that one-sided brawl, so she didn't think much more of it. She felt her body gently slide off her warm furred friend upon the colder, hard bark of a tree while the fea took a breif rest, and cover their tracks. If she didn't feel so weakened, this surely would have put Chii at more alarm. It made her think that the white beast was tracking her.. out to finish what he started.
Once again, she couldn't trouble herself any longer for thinking of such things after she aquired the other females name. Satarah.. Her name echoed through the confines of her mind so she would not forget the name of the one who saved her. Chii would be forever in this kind wolfs debt. Satarah propped her weak frame back onto hers, and continued to walk once more. Yet, after she asked if she was apart of Xyla, it's a if she hit a button. It was hard to tell with the deafening silence, and not being able to see the expression upon the females face. After a long silence, she began to speak. Apparently, she already belonged to a mini pack south of here. She never knew any exsisted on Kongrai-at least, not since the last time she dwelled on the island. She already assumed that the fea had good ties with the Xyla, and her explanation proved so. What Chikako didn't expect to hear from her, was that she knew of the foul creature who scathed her body so-she could even recall his name. Credo.. just thinking of the name left a retchid taste on her touge. What was worse, was that this wolf was a cannibal, and could of made a meal out of her. She didn't believe a wolf could do such things to their own kind, but apparently somce demented ones could.
"A cannibalistic wolf.. So, he could have.. eaten me?" She replied naively. Of course, that was the defination of one, but she just couldn't get over it. She just thought that she would have been slaughtered.. not devoured! Fortunatly, it didn't come to either of those ill-fates-but why? He didn't kill her, nor Satarah. Maybe his only reason is to strike fear into other wolf hearts, merely to spread his 'masters' word. She was finally able to muster the strength to lift her head, light blue pools looking into her royal blues with a light smile creasing her lips. "I guess you had it rougher than me.. we're both pretty lucky to survive Credo. Do you think he'll come back for us..?" Maybe it wasn't the best thing to ask to keep her stress down, but it was obvious Satarah knew more about him and the island more than she did. Chii just hoped that the demon would not appear before her again anytime soon.. or anytime at all.

sorry no muse yet and i need to get satarah in a good place with the xyla still lol for her to arrive with chii

Although Satarah never replied to her first question, she seemed to have some hesitation about answering her second. It was already clear that neither canine had a clear idea of Credos plans. Her 'artificial cruch' walked slowly on, while she merely limped by her side as she listed what reasons he had into sparing the two innocent feas. Every reason she listed off seemed plausible, but Chikako did not like either of them.
"Well.. I surely will not submiss to breed with that cannibal nor his master.. and if his plan was to strike fear into the hearts of innocent passerbys, then he was certainly sucessfull." Chii mused out loud, contemplating what the alabasters true intentions were. Although Satarah and herself would be two against one, would two feas be able to take down that.. monster? After fighting with him, she couldn't believe that a small wolf like herself would be able to defend herself against him again, should he attack again in the future. "Do you think Zentha has more followers.. like Credo?" It was a feasible thought. Perhaps her new friend already knew if there was or not, but the last time the brute returned, no one dare side with him. He was much too powerful a foe to trust. Now.. this wolf that calls himself Credo seems to think fondly of his 'master'.
Chikako was already begining to regret returning to Kongrai. What a fool she was. How she ever thought this war-torn island would somehow return to a tranquil paradise it was years ago, she'll never know. The beaten female let her head hang lowering in shame of thinking such naive thoughts. Taking only a few pawsteps across the barren lands, only to be welcomed into a brawl. Not to mention, a brief fight at that. I didn't even fight back.. I couldn't even escape. It was hard to have all of this lingering on her mind. Maybe, when her wounds healed, she would leave Kongrai, and head to one of her sister islands. In a desperate attempt to shake dark thoughts for her mind, she tried to change the topic of their conversation. "Tell me about the Xyla pack.. are Kishi and Karn still the alphas? Do they still have tensions with the Skyla?"
ooc;; that's fine ! it gives chii some time to ask about whats happened since she was gone anyways . :3 [/blockquote]
