The brute would pad after his mate still abit upset that she had just walked off, It didn't matter if she agreed with what he had decided he had always been there to support her ruling and this is how she repays him? But getting upset and storming off all the while knowing that there was a psychotic wolf out there planning something against her pack. He would smell her just up ahead but she was yet to come into view, Which in this case was a good thing as it gave him a chance to calm down and think about what he was going to say when he finally caught up with the fae.
As if feeling his master's anger the owl known as Sheen swooped though the area in front of him causing the brute to tilt his head from one side to the other puzzled about why his guardian was acting so strangely, Sure they had never really seen eye to eye but this was just weird even for sheen, It didn't take long for the owl to disappear from his sight heading in the same direction that his lovely mate was headed and that's when it hit him like a ton of bricks, The stupid bird wasn't trying to get his attention rather he had gone to warn kishi about his arrival, even though he could not speak to her him being there would be a very good hint to where shade was. Just then he heard his "loyal" owl screeching in his head.
"Sire, I know you are upset but confronting her will only make matters worse for you two" Sheen screeched as shade could only assume that he perched on a branch over looking where his pregnant mate was,"I don't have time for you or your non-sense Sheen now tell me where she is" Shade snapped but instead of obeying his command the owl just went silent, causing the anger to raise in the dark furred brute, Fine if his so called loyal guardian wouldn't help then he would just find her on his own.

It sure as hell had been a long day, and Kishi was fuming. Even though she couldn't exactly remember what it was she was supposed to be feeling angry about, the emotion was still hovering heavily in her mind. The fae stomped noisily through the area, not caring who might here her as the extra body weight from her pregnancy made her paw steps heavier and louder than usual. Why was she annoyed again? Oh yes. Kenya. That was it. That bitch was still a traitor in the femmes eye, and most likely it would never change. When kishi was first ruler of this pack, she had been known as the compassionate of the 4 pack leaders, the forgiving and gentle fae. Now? Things were different. Circumstances had changed. Life was harder.
A commotion in the air caught Kishi's attention, and she looked to the skies to spot an owl soaring around above her. The fact that it was still day, and usually owls wouldn't come out until nightfall was enough to tell her that this was no ordinary creature, and that if it was close, then its master, and her mate would not be far behind. The fae huffed. Great. She had no doubts that Shade would be in a foul mood with her, after the little scene she made in front of the pack members. Probably better to face him than to hide, right? No. The femme really did not feel like it right now, so she picked up her pace in an attempted search for somewhere to hide.

Shade made his way though the land despite his owl's constant complaining and nagging that he was going about this the wrong way all he knew was that she had openly defied his decision and that was not about to stand even if she was his mate and soon to be the mother of their pups, He was still the alpha of the pack that she belonged to and while he had a great deal of respect and love for her. enough that he even supported her choice to step down when she was the alphess, He knew that it was only a matter of time until he caught up with her. he was the one with the warrior background and he most likely knew these lands better then anyone besides his respected mentor and late alpha may his spirit rest in peace.
Just then he could smell his mate's scent getting stronger and that brought a grin to the dark brute's muzzle as he started to enjoy this little chase but that would not be enough to make him forget the reason he had gone after her in the first place, He started to pick up the pace before breaking into a full on sprint, closing the gap between him and his beloved and it wasn't long before he came into the same area with her but before he could even speak or call out to her his oh so faithful guardian landed in front of him spreading his wings up as if trying to block the brute's path but he would not be denied, He slowly brought his left paw up before striking the owl sending his own guardian tumbling out of the way as he padded toward his mate.
He had her dead to rights there was no way she could out run him while carrying their pups, She sure as hell could before with her smaller light weight frame but just as things seemed as if they couldn't get any worse, A wolf caught by it's alpha after throwing a fit over a decision, That was a very dire situation indeed for normally the alpha would act harshly to the pack member even Kishi had done so when she was alphess and it was clear that she was alot more compassionate then most wolves on Kongrai but just then the brute's eyes softened and he moved closer halting her movement as he cuddled around her which had to be something the fae wasn't expecting, he then licked her cheek as he went to whisper something but nothing came out.

Kishi observed as Shade batted the owl out of his way. She felt sorry for the small bird, he had done nothing but attempt to stop the Alpha in his angry tracks. Herself, however, she felt more sorry for. The pregnant fae was not looking forward to the telling off she was sure she was about to endure. Not even in the slightest She was aware she had acted foolishly, and probably deserved to be punished for it. After all, when she was alphess, she would have been annoyed with anyone whom had acted in the way that she had. Still, though, she was awaiting her punishment with little enthusiasm.
Then, suddenly, the emotions that the brute was emitting changed. He cuddled around her, giving her one simply lick on the cheek that caught the femme completely off guard. What was this? How could he have changed so suddenly? Weird. Shade leaned in, as if to whisper something to her, but as she listened intently, no words were heard. Confused, the fae stepped back ever so lightly, and shot him a look that explained exactly what she was thinking. What on earth was he doing?

The brute watched as she took a step away from him clearly confused by his actions and why he had not laid into her like he should of after all he was the alpha male now and she did act out of turn but for all of his time here in these lands, in this pack she had always been his voice of reason, To him she had always been the peace keeper especially when it came to him and her brother Kajia Not to mention she had to play keeper of the peace between him and her son but now he found himself in a hard position, He could see it in her eyes she was waiting to see if he was going to punish her or not. But did he have it in him to punish his own mate? the mother of his soon to be pups? the brute shook his head electing that he would let her off with a simple verbal warning this time and hopefully she would be wise enough to heed his words.
"Kishi.. My love you know.. if this was anyone else i'd punish them in a second, But.. you.. I never expected this from my own mate.." He spoke in his classic shade fashion, He had always been nice and respectful to Kishi even when the situation didn't call for it like right now for example but the nice loving side was far to easy to see though, the look on his face slowly shifting and as he parted his maw again this time he spoke as her alpha not as her mate or the father of her pups."The next time you act that way i will punish you, I don't care if you agree with what i said or not dam it, You are to back me up no matter what unless told otherwise" The brute's voice was filled with anger once more but his eyes held a completely different story, It hurt him to have to speak to her that way but he had no other choice but to do so.
After saying what he had to the male instead of staying in his dominant stance he would turn and walk a few steps away from his mate before sitting down looking at the ground, He wanted nothing more then to turn around right then and there and tell her he was sorry for what he had said but he knew he couldn't. He had said that for her own good, but he couldn't stop the pain of it from showing though on his features, The brute let a deep sigh escape from his muzzle.
