for one moment she stopped on her journey. her midnight orbs traced over the outline of the moon on the water. its sparkling, and shimmering movement made her content. questions and thoughts raged within her. she knew her family but just barely, but all she longed for now was just a place to call home. for a piece of what once was, but not to end the same.

she allowed herself to sit her fur catching the moons light. she wondered how long it would be until another wolf took interest in her. whether they would try to attack her or be friendly. possibly they would have a pack and give her an invite. she was only a year old so finding a mate or starting her own pack or family was not an option.

she took a deep breath and rose from her position and moved towards a grassy hill top just off the beach. once she found herself in a good spot she laid down to rest. she continued to stare at the water as she slowly began to doze off. unknowingly letting her guard down

[Cinder]

The mexican fae slowly padded along before picking up a new scent, She tilted her head as she started to think. "A new scent?... and its fresh..". The corners of her lips slowly pull back into an almost evil smirk , though kaija her alpha had rubbed off on her some it was more that Senna had influenced her behavior. Cinder always had carried herself around with an almost undeserved sense of power. like she could get away with anything by using her looks the only ones she hasn't even attempted this on would be her alphas.

The fae sprinted toward the scent an evil look in her orbits. Evil thoughts running though her mind as she pushed herself to run even faster. She knew she was headed in the right direction because the scent was becoming stronger with every stride she took. she couldn't wait to tell her alphas how she took down a bru... just then the wolf came into view.. it was just another fae?! aww man!.. All her excitement just seemed to vanish into thin air.


Well maybe she could still get a few laughs at this females exspense. She slowly walked over to the fae before the smirk returned to her lips the evil once again flashing back into her orbits. Her voice was cruel and almost uncaring.. "Well well well what do i have here?"

the evil hiss entered the silver faes rose thorns, and she came to her feet quickly. she stood in a defensive position her head low, her tail loose and hanging, and her midnight orbs watching her intently. she could sense this vixen was not very friendly, and satarah knew she was probably gonna get hurt. especially since she wasnt even fully grown and didnt know anything about fighting, only running. on the other hand this fae seem around the same age and not much bigger.
she growled softly
i dont want any trouble... if your going to hurt me do it and get it over with she didnt want to be injured because everything was such a drag to do like hunt, sleep, eat, walk, run, and basically everyday duties. if it would save her a long night of running, fighting and posibly death from exhaulstion she would let the vixen hurt her. she wondered though if maybe this vixen would take notice that they could easily hurt eachother pretty bad, and then maybe decide from there is would be best to just acknowledge each other. then again this vixen may not be up for small talk or just walking away from an oportunity to mutalate and humulate some stanger

The fae seemed to chuckle evily as she circled the female in the same manor she had witnessed her alpha do many times before. Could this fae have figured her out?.. Not likely but cinder hated being told what to do especially by strangers or lower ranks then herself. She continued to circle the female as her thoughts wandered to "what would Senna do". She refused to take her orbits off of the female, she may of been small but cinder knew exactly what wolves her size were capable of if given the chance. And she was in no mood to give this female that chance not in a million years. But just then she heard the female speak.

"i dont want any trouble... if your going to hurt me do it and get it over with"

Cinder chuckled softly before speaking." So we have a tough fae on our paws huh? or is that all just an act to try and scare me off.". She scowled softly annoyed by this point but could she really afford to get into a fight right now?. What would her alphas say?.."You are lucky we aren't in the skyla territory or " she chuckled softly " things could be alot worse for you". She circled the fae a few more times before sitting down mere inches away from here. An evil look still flashing in her orbits as she spoke once more. "Whats your name fae and its un-usual for a fae to wander around unprotected by a brute".

Skyla was the clan of blood or so said in the words of those scavenging birds. she had seen them sore in that direction probably to pick at whatever poor creature wander too close and lost there life. satarah knew that would be a bad decission to head in that direction, to head towards any of the clans would be bad especially alone. she knew once the vixen announced she was indeed a skyla, satarah realized the trouble she could have been in, but luck was maybe on her side. the evil vixen who presented herself as a threat finally showed some ease in her figure, she sat and spoke a bit softer satarah was a bit more calm but not off guard. she too sat. mindnight orbs still catching the vixens gaze, and figure. she was watching for any signs of this vixen moving back into attack mode.

was she tough? or trying to scare? satarah didnt really think about what she was trying to achieve except moving on with the night to begin another long day. the silver fae began to speak softly i guess you could call it allowing you to satisfy your blood lust, i had no intention of scaring you off or being tough. i was just picking what would be easiest for me, considering my lack of energy. she aloud a moment to pass before speaking again your right it could have been worse, but i was taught its rude to intrude on other territory with out the alpha's permission, or unless it is an order from a higher up. satarah was trying to be careful not to be too polite it may be seen as weekness or something not welcomed to a skyla. her lyric rang again when she answered the vixens request I'm Satarah, i wander without a brute probably for the same reason as you. i am too young for a mate, and any that i am related to or part of my previous pack are dead a bit of sorrow hit her heart it not she really had a chance to care for any of her pack member but its painful to think that she would never know them better.</sup>

The fae scoffed as she slowly stood back up growling softly. The nerve of this female just assuming that she was to young for a brute!. This had really annoyed and almost angered cinder but she managed to calm herself down once again. Before speaking to the female once more. "How dare you just assume why i wander this place alone. i wander alone because i feel like it!".Her anger was starting to show though her other wise calm form. she started to paw at the ground to fight off the growing urge to kill the vixen that stood before her. She knew that Senna would understand.. But would kaija?..

She started to turn her back to the vixen but then thought better of it and turned back. Her eyes narrowing her ears laying back. Both of which were signs of an attack to come. but she held herself back growling softly. "Give me one good reason i shouldn't end your life right now.". But something was missing in her voice, the deadly tone was now gone and had been replaced by a unsure tone as if she was questioning herself. She refused to look the vixen in the orbits now but there was no way that cinder a proud member of the skyla pack would surrender to a lowly fae that stood before her.

But what was it that was seeming to bother her. Did her alphas judgement have more meaning to her then she had realized?. or was it just that she was losing her deadly urge for combat?... No that couldn't be it.. kaija would surely kick her out of the pack if that were the case.

satarah was getting curious about what the faes intentions where it seemed as if she wanted to attack, but someting was stopping her. perhaps she was nervious of satarah, or what her alpha's would do to her. speaking softly again satarah asked what is you family like? she herself longed to know what hers was like, but fague memories of her past dont satisfy her anymore. she simply wanted to start a new.</sup>

Sensing some poor wolf had been in danger the brute put his own safety aside and took off dashing through the forest headed toward the beach. Panting heavily as he pushed himself harder to build up abit more speed. If he was right the scent he was smelling. atleast one of the two was a skyla pack member this ment the other had to be a victim or about to become one and as long as he was in the area he was not going to let that happen. As he reached the edge of the forrest his fears were confirmed. The female on the right was none other then Cinder. One of kaijas highly trusted faes.

"Cinder!!". He yelled out to get her attention as he ran out onto the somewhat warm beach sand. he didn't remember the other vixen this had to be their first meeting and with the way the things were he didn't have time to "make nice" and chat with the new wolf. Well not as much as he would of liked to do so anyway. The brute positioned himself between the new wolf and his rival as he proceeded to stare her down. "What was kaija to busy to torture this wolf himself?"

The temptress seemed to smirk as she slowly stood up after spotting the fear in her foe's eyes. She always loved to torture wolves especially the ones who "don't want any trouble". Ha! She was the meaning of trouble she loved causing it she loved getting in fights. Anything to do with trouble she was most likely involved.

"what is you family like?"

The fae couldn't believe her auds, this vixen was actually asking about the skyla pack?.. why would she want to know?. "Im afraid that is on a need to know basis and you don't need to know.". The fae seemed to smirk a most evil smirk but all that would fade as she heard someone yell her name. She glanced over at the wolf and started to growl. What was shade doing here?! wasn't he surpose to be with kishi!?. "No kaija wasn't but i haven't told him yet"

the silver fae stepped back as the raven brute stepped onto the scene. she listened as they conversated. her rose thorns flattened and she wonder if now would be a good time to flea. this male must be a skyla rival. her midnight orbs examined them both. the male was older, and larger then both of them. torture? was it possible this fae would have brought her to her alphas just for her to be tortured?

she decided to stay to see what would pan out. she was nervious. both of these wolves were highly respected in there packs, this male seemed to be a night in shining armor, or a hero type. perhaps he was an Xyla. which would mean satarah was in the middle of a war that has gone on for years.

Oh?.. The brute tilted his head a slight grin on his muzzle. So she hadn't of told her alpha about her little adventure let alone her attack or attempted attack on a simplely inocent female. Not that it would of mattered if she told him about the attack because kaija would of most likely attacked her himself. But by the look in her orbits he could tell even cinder feared disobeying kaija. Perhaps he could use this against her to ensure the safety of the female behind him he refused to take his orbits off of cinder. But he knew that she wouldn't be stupid enough to come this far out of her territory alone.

But he couldn't check out the surounding area because that meant he'd have to leave the female to defend herself. He wouldn't do that he didn't know how good of a fighter she was but he did know what cinder could do. This wasn't their first encounter and it surely was not going to be their last. But that really didn't matter at this point in time right now his sole mission was to make sure that cinder could not injury or convert this wolf to her pack. he'd would die before that happened. "So kaija doesn't know your out here huh? i wonder why that is hmm?". He said with a toothy grin.

she listened to there talking, but turned her attention to the shoreline once again. the crashing of waves on the sand was calming. they sky was turning a violet blue as the sun made its way over the distant sea. her aud closest to the two stayed at those two like a sonar dish. she began to pad over to the water. moving past the female with no fear. she was slightly irritated that she was brought into some drama, but felt special aswell. she had no fear because if this female would indeed attack satarah decide not to just allow her to hurt her. she would turn and attack back. one because she was irrritated, and two because this brute is against this vixen attacking her.

the silver faes tail moved from the downward position up about half way curling only slightly. she knew what an upright tail would mean, and she knew it could cause trouble so she only dangled it upwards only so daintly. well why couldnt she play dominant? she was after all a lone wolf, her own leader.

once she reached the cool salt water. she sat curling her tail around her feet much like a cat. her rose thorns still listening for the other two. if they started to fight she would step in, for who well the male seemed to have her best interest in mind, and the female was jumping from a softer mood to a angered mood so her interests were unclear.

the silver fae licked her chops it had been about a day since she had eattin. her last meal was a rotting elk carcass that was mostly bone. she thought about would she could find today, maybe something washed up on the shore, a deer, or maybe a rabbit. scavenging was easy usually but she was bothered by it and she was always careful. if no birds or jackels were picking at a couple day old carcass it was poisoned well in her opinion. she would usually leave a fresh carcass alone unless she watched the creatue kill it, or it was untouch and she watched the animal die naturally.

The vixen was clearly annoyed about how this brute just interrupted her in the middle of her favorite activity. she would sigh deeply watching her would be victim walk toward the shoreline. Cinder knew if she made a move toward the fae undoubtedly Shade would move in to block her path once again and she was already bored with him as it was. She didn't want to get in a fight with the brute because getting in the fight with the fae would of gotten her in enough trouble but fighting with a rival without letting her alphas know was a big no-no. She had no choice but to let the fae slip out of her grasp, atleast for now. Odds were that she would run into the fae again when shade was not around and then she'd make her move. She could sense that shade was hiding something cause there had to be another motive other then just saving an innocent fae that got him involved. Perhaps he was trying to impress kishi?.

Without a word the vixen slowly rose to her pads before turning her body around flicking her tail at the brute in a taunting mannor before padding off toward the skyla territory. She knew that shade would like nothing more then to injury her now but if she could just make it onto skyla land she would be able to claim that she fought back in self-defense and that would hopeifully get her out of trouble. She glanced back to see if the brute had taken her bait. but saddly he had not she chuckled softly and mumbled "catch you later.."

The brute simply ignored the fae's taunt and glanced over at the vixen by the shore after cinder had left. He kept thinking about either he should invite her into the xyla pack or not. either way he was not going to do anything without kishi's permission so the thoughts were bascially pointless at this point and time. He made his way over and sat down beside the lupa a soft smile on his maw. "you are one lucky girl that i was in the area or that would of been alot worse".[. He normally didn't talk or defend wolves that he did not know. Maybe just maybe kishi's kindness was rubbing off on the once great and deadly warrior. either way he was changed that much was for sure. if this had happened before he had found kishi again he would of killed cinder in a heartbeat.

He guessed this was some sort of blessing anyway if this didn't get him back into kishi's good graces nothing would and he wanted more then anything to be back on her good side. Especially if he was gonna tell her how he truly felt about her.what was he thinking?.. going into enemy territory behind his leader's back? Agruing with his alphess?.. He shook his head softly before looking back at the vixen that was mere inches away from himself. "Anyway you seem hungry would you like something to eat?"

she glanced over as the fae left. her midnight orbs taking in her final appearence and her auds taking in her last words "catch you later..." Satarah questioned though if the fae would have actually attacked her. she seemed to be debating on the pros or cons the whole time.

the silver faes auds flicked towards the brute who walked towards her. his words "you are one lucky girl that i was in the area or that would of been alot worse" it was kind of him to of come to her rescue knowing how dangerous the vixen and her clan was. speaking softly she said thankyou... satarah still wonder what his intentions were. she could smell another fae on him. pehaps his alphess? the way he carried himself though suggested he was not an alpha, but someone of high ranked respect, pehaps a warrior. it would explain why he was so hasty to come and save her. his bells rang in the air again "Anyway you seem hungry would you like something to eat?" her auds perked up, yes she was hungry but she didnt want to take food from him. she barely knew him. before she could say no though her stomach began to rumble slightly and she smiled in her own embarassment and spoke softly if its not too much trouble?

He smiled softly before speaking. "It is no trouble at all". He slowly rose to his paws before wadding into the waves as he glanced back at the vixen. " is fish okay?". Without waiting for her answer he started to peer though the surf to spot a school of his that was swimming just below the water's surface. Shade normally hated to get his fur wet but this was the closest food source there was around and he had promised to get her something to eat. He often wondered why he was so nice to wolves that were new and he had just met. he took a deep sigh before taking his first attempt to catch atleast one of the slippy fish. But he only came up with a snout and nose full of salt water. He sneezed loudly before grumbling at the water. This must of been a funny thing to see from the shore.

His second attempt wasn't much better he only managed to get more water onto his fur. but just then his third and final attempt.. finally! success!. He pulled out a decent sized fish for the surf before slowly wadding out of the water. the slippy fish still struggling to get free in his maw. as he shook out his fur rolling his eyes in the annoyance that it would take all day for his fur to completely dry out.But he had made a promise and he was going to deliver on that promise even if it meant looking really stupid. He dropped the fish in front of the lupa before laying down once more beside her.

she watched him as he just went about hunting without an answer from her. she would of helped but before she knew it he was done. "it's all yours" she poke softly are you sure? looking down at the fish. she watched how it gasped and struggled, even after she would begin to eat it, it would still be alive. fish was one of the thing she was good at catching but it always broke her heart when she saw them feeling and watching themselves be eatten. speaking softly she them said to the fish im sorry brother or sister, your body must stay, but your spirit will be freed she lowered her maw and quickly crushed its head in her jaws. ending its movements, and its suffering. she then looked up fearing the brute thought she was weird. speaking softly again she said i dont believe we've introduced ourselves. im Satarah, and you are? she smiled softly and waited for his reply.

the sun was rising and the temperature were too, humidy was entering the once cool night, and soon the sand and the beach would be a blistering savannah like enviroment. dispite the cool ocean air. satarah was thinking about just going in the water to get herself wet before the day got hot so she would be cool, for a good part of the day.

The brute chuckled softly watching her for a few moments. His first impression had been correct.. this one was not a killer atleast she was unlike the skyla pack in that aspect. But it was still unknown if he should introduce her to kishi or not yet. His mind was starting to fog over once more. mating season was close but then again every male in the lands knew this all to well. He looked at the fae before speaking. "My name is shade and im sure you've already could guess this but.. im from the xyla pack".

He would lay down with a big sigh, As if he had alot on his mind other then just how he was going to explain what just happened to his alphess. "Anyway you should prepare for the coming heat." . He glanced over at the fae with a soft smile, he already knew that she stood a better chance of staying cool already becuase of her white fur but any wise wolf wouldn't take chances when it came to the heat. because the heat can drain a wolf of its most needed energy.

the silver faes midnight pools washed over him as he spoke.
Shade is the name of the wolf colored like shadows she thought to herself. his appearence definantly made him look not so friendly, but he sure was considerate. Satarah neatly tore into the fish using her paw to hold it down as she ripped bite size pieces from it. he was write she did need to prepare for the heat of the day. once she ate enough to stop her hunger the fae padded into the water. as a wave came up to her chest she leaped into it. soon the water was nearing her cheast and she once again dove into it. this time it consumed her. and she ot a ride back to shore on it.

her silver pelt was drenched and the dry sand sucked up what dropped. her fur was suctioned to her skin because of how heavy it was. taking a couple steps forward she shook her hide and a sprinkler of water created a golden like silouette from the sun shining on it. satarah could feel the ocean breeze making its way through her thick fur. it was very refreshing. she trotted back over towards the brute. she stood silent for a moment wondering what he may propose they do now, but a question came to her elbony lips. so what is your pack like?

The brute chuckled at her question at first but then a serious look dawned on his face, as he stopped laughing almost instantly.his eyes filling with sorrow for his missing comrades .he would begin to speak softly his voice had lost its gentle caring tone and had adopted an cold almost uncaring tone. "my pack...your guess is as good as mine.. the only one i've seen since the winter is my alphess.. the others are still missing.. if not dead..". He slowly went silent before looking at the water crashing againest the shoreline without saying another word. the pain of losing his comrades was beginning to take over his mind and body.

The brute sat motionless for many moments staring at the relentless ocean. He knew that if he allowed his emotions to cloud his judgement it could mean death even for the most experienced warrior. He shook his head from side to side to try and shake the memories away but it was no use. No matter what he tried they would always return. he would sigh deeply before finally turning his attention back to the fae. "why did you want to know anyway.

his answer brought sorrow to her aswell. she knew what it was like, but it must be a greater pain to actually know them and lose them. she could tell the faded structure of his family bugged him. she move and sat next to him then gave him a friendly reasuring nudge and answered his question because i never knew what pack life was like. well i guess you could say only at a young age i did. my pack is dead. humans can be just as cruel as any winter if not crueler, because atleast winter offers you a chance
the silver fae wondered about the mother and father she barely knew, and the brothers and sisters who some how were picked off first and only. why had not the bears or coyotes taken her too? why is it she was the only one? a let out a sigh that held a slight whine in it. then spoke softly how is your alphess? is she kind?

"how is your alphess? is she kind?.."
This kinda made the brute chuckle softly. Kishi had been the nicest fae he met in a very long time. he slowly looked over at the vixen that had come to sit beside him.a soft smile now apron his maw as he started thinking about his dear alphess. he sniffed the air it was almost as if he could smell her. the scent was weak but it was clearly his alphess's scent. But could she had traveled this far out of their territory?.. just to find him?.. or was she just taking a stroll like he had been earlier in the day. either way telling by the growing strength of her scent it wouldn't take her long to reach them.if this fae wanted to know his alphess. she would soon have her chance to meet her in person.

"She is as nice as she can afford to be.." He glanced at the ocean and then back at the fae. "if i had a choice between her and her brother.. i'd pick her everytime.. she knows the meaning of mercy.. Kaija does not neither does his mate.". He looked up to the heavens the smile on his maw growing even wider as he continued to think of his alphess. it was clear that he liked her more then just an alphess, the only ones who could not see this were idiots.

the scent of the fae she could smeell on the brute grew stronger in the air. she must have been traveling looking for her warrior. as he spoke of her the silver fae listened intently taking in what she could and it appeared the two rival packs were run by siblings. what rivalry could be so strong though to separate the two? if you dont mind me asking but why are they so different? her soft tones entered the atmosphere. she could tell the brute was infatuated with this fae. the way he spoke of her said it all. the thought of him of maybe being a potential mate in the future had crossed her mind but it was no bother. there were other wolves out there, and she still wasnt sure when or if she wanted to settle down soon.

if the Alphess invited her to the Xyla pack would the silver fae accept? most likely she didnt want to be alone anymore. she wanted to hunt in a group, howl to the moon and have family to reply, have others to rely on who also rely on her, and most of all she wanted something to protect.

the silver fae took a deep breath and smirked and asked have you told her? it was possible the Alphess could potentially hear the conversation, but in a way that was the point of satarah bring it up. she was very nice but could get into mischief, and alas she herself may play hard to get sometimes but she was a romantic. she had to make sure he didnt miss his chance. a young and confident single alphess would be in high demand during mating season.

The fae's question had kind of caught the brute off-guard as he glanced over at her one thought raced through his mind."why would it matter to her?... unless she had considered on making him her mate some time down the line?..". Anyway shade was not the type of brute to let an question go unanswered and this would be no different. He just had to think of a answer that he could use to quickly change the subject. It was not that he didn't trust this fae it was just that the more he thought of it the more it was starting to seem like a good idea but he didn't want to scare off kishi if she wasn't interested in having another mate so soon.

He soon shook his head and sighed abit before responding to the vixen. "i have no idea what your speaking of and kishi is kind kaija is not this has always been the way it is and i doubt it will change any time soon.". he decided to quickly change the subject before she could ask another unneeded question. he let out another disappointed sigh. "Why are you so intersted in a pack life if you have been able to survive on your own". He knew this was question that most males especially warriors often asked themselves but they never ever said it out loud and especially not around their leaders.
