The dry, frigid winds swept across the Skyla territory, making the snow dance across the ground. The once roaring Petra Falls was now a dull noise, thanks to the dropping temperatures. The water was frozen solid. The hidden cave behind the falls was now harder to get into than ever before; now you had to try and scale the cliff alongside the falls without slipping on trecherous ice, and then you'd have attempt to wedge your way into a small hole between the ice and rock to get in there. Nevertheless, the alpha herself was detirmined to get in there..well, eventually. The only thing was , she had alot to think about. The island of Kongrai was oddly..quiet, for a change. Usually, there would be so many loners trying to sneak into her fields to sneak a doe or something, someone from another pack walsing in to stir up some trouble, anyone. Unfortunatly, she hadn't seen anyone in a while. To a few wolves, they'd think nothing of it, and enjoy the peace. Senna on the other hand was wary of it. After all, it was winter, and wolves are probubly scavenging the island right now for something to eat. It occured strange to her that no one tried to come into her pack lands to look for food. Her icey blue eyes darted across the vast landscape, hoping to see at least something from the top of the falls. Yet, all she saw was snow, leafless boughs swaying in the wind, and frozen-over streams.
The large female loosened a soft sigh from her throat. It was just so dull around here. Looking for some animal to torture for some entertainment was now harder than ever since they kept themselves hidden away this time of year. Not to mention, her pack needed food to survive. And right now, she couldn't see any prey to bring back to them. Food from here on untill spring was going to be scarce. Just great for a mother with four constantly hungry pups. Senna stood opon all fours and gave a quick shake of her pelt, the snow that once clung to it freed itself from her fur and flew off in different directions. It seemed pointless to stick around now; it seemed like there was no life to kill around here either. Damn.. I might as well check on the pups then. Just when she was about to try her luck into getting to the hidden cave, a jackel sat directly in front of her with a blank look on his face. The alpha looked down at him, and after a few silent minutes, she revealed a smirk. You didn't find any food, did you Hanataro. Her opakti frowned slightly, shaking his head. "Well, it doesn't look like you did any better either. Senna shifted her head to gaze out into the distance, her new winter coat swyaing in the wind. No, I didn't..I've looked everywhere but the feilds, anD I couldn't find one damn thing to eat. She was pretty much counting on Hanataro to find something since she couldn't, but unfortunatly, his acute hearing and her nose didn't pick up anything. She wondered if the other packs were having this much trouble with food..
Do you want me to check there lands..?
Senna looked back at the beige jackel. By now she should have realised that he could her here every thought, since that was the only way they could communicate. Maybe later..But, you know it would be pointless if they have nothing to eat over in there territories either. Right now, that, and looking through the feilds seemed like the only option, unless some luck came upon them and a rabbit or something popped out in front of them. First, I want you to come with me. The alphess started to trudge through the snow towards the edge of the falls, looking down topick out which rocks looked the safest to jump onto. Her opakti hopped through the snow up beside his master with a hesitant look. Where do you want me to go, exactly..? Senna had a twisted smile placed across her maw as she looked back at him. Hanataro's expression soon showed that he knew what she was talking about. No way! Not this time! I'm not going to see those little..demons. Do you even see how they treat me?! The femme turned away and started to scale down the cliff so that he couldn't hear her laughing.. Then again, he probubly could with those elephant ears. They treat me like..like a chew toy. They should treat me with respect, like I was.. an uncle or something to thm! Senna's pads made a light thump as she leaped down onto another ledge. "Oh sure, I could definatly try to explain to them how there uncle is anooying little pest of a jackel, and not a quiet skyla wolf." Hanataro Stopped for a moment. ..That's not the point.
Finally, after 10 long minutes, they reached the bottom to the small entrance to the cave. The alpha could already hear small little yaps coming from inside. Once she entered it, four pups excitedly yapped to there mother's arrival, while the jackel remined behind Senna. It was useless though. As soon as Senna realised what he was doing, she quickly stepped to the side to let her pups see there 'uncle'. As soon as they caught a glimpse of him, and clumsily bounded onto him, nipping at his fur. Senna just smiled and layed on the ground, watching her litter annoy the hell out of Hanataro.

'Look, have I not just said that their is absolutely nothing to eat?! I'm a living creature to you know!' Kaija glared at the large black bird, which was stood infront of him, on the ground stubbornly, scowling back. The Brute had asked the young Raven to get up into the air and try to find something that would provide them with a meal. Severaly time, actualy. Tamen, however, was refusing, and even though was supposed to be doing all of Kaijas bidding, did not wish to do so. He may have been around the lands several times, but this was important! They were in dire need of food, and the Brute doubted whether any of the pack had eaten recently. 'Well can you not go up and look again?' He asked the bird, irritated. 'No.'
Grumbling quietly to himself, not caring whether Tamen could hear him or not, Kaija padded off, annoyed and not in a very cooperative mood. Oh if only a loner were to venture into his lands now. Something to take his mood out on. Anything. Pleeaase. 'Thats not a very nice thing to think.' The bird said in the wolves head, finding Kaijas mood incredibly amusing. The large wolf let out a low growl from his throut. Lord this bird was getting on his nerves.
Tamen seemed to notice the moody glare on Kaijas face, because he lifted himself off into the air, hovering infront of his face for a monent, looking slightly bored. "One more time, thats it." The dark Raven said, before flying off out of sight.
His large, black wings flapped silently in rythem as the irritated bird flew over the lands. He mumbled to himself, alot of doubt running through his mind. He had looked, several times, and seen nothing. Why did he have to waste his time looking AGAIN? Stupid wolf was doing it on purpose, just to get under his feathers. Their were plenty of important things he could be doing with his time at the momemnt . . . like sleeping. NOT flying around, in this freezing cold weather, wasting his energy, because a WOLF was cold! Ergh.
That damn bird had better come back with something. Kaija thought to himself darkly, scowling at the snow covered ground before him. Oh, how he hated this time of year. Everything gone, everything cold. No food. Even the water was frozen over, although that didn't prove as much of a problem, unless you attempted to walk over it. That was when the problems arose.
Kaija had been so absorbed by his own, silent ranting, that he hadn't npoticed where he had been walking, and how far he had managed to get in such a little amount of time. The large, rocky but silent cliffs stoof tall before him, some of its flat parts frozen over and pure white, others the usual dark greyish/browny colour, with the odd sliver of ice.
Ther falls themselves were frozen solid, physical proof of just how cold it was around here. Clearly below freezing point. The Brute knew exactly where the cave was. That would be where the rest of the pack would be. The only problem was . . . how to get up there?
Tamen scanned the area below. Nothing. That was it though, he'd had enough. Their was clearly no food here, and if that ungrateful wolf was so desperate for food, the he'd have to go looking in the surrounding packlands himself. The Raven was tired, hungry, although he wouldn't admit it, and wanted some sleep. Enough of this. He angled himself back into the wind, towards the place he was certain to find Kaija. The falls. He hadn't actually been in the cabe itself for a while now, but he roughly knew where-abouts it was hidden, and how to get in.
Five fresh minutes of soaring through the sharp, freezing cold wind bought him to his destination. He could see the large wolf pacing below, but had nothing to say to him. That was going to get him into alot of trouble, Tamen knew that, but at the moment, he really couldn't be bothered. Frowning, he aimed himself low, and swooped into the cave. Their were others inside, the alphess, and a bunch of pups. Then his beady eyes spotted the Jackel. That stupid damn Jackel. 'Argh, great, just what I need. You.' He thought sarcastically at the scruffy canine.
(finished, Im really sorry it took so long. Family stuff :/)

Four little furballs pounced, nipped, you name it, the pups were doing it to poor Hanataro. All the alphess could do was laugh as she layed compfortably on the cavern's floor. What annoyed the jackel more about the situation was that Senna herself was the one who taught them to purposely do this to him. What the hell did he do to deserve this? Nothing! At least, not in his mind. In fact, he couldn't even believe that the day they were born, he wanted to stay by there side, to protect and watch them grow into powerful, Skyla warriors. Pfft.. The opakti just rolled his eyes as he was tortured by little those little mutants. Was he ever wrong to think that in the first place. If he had to had known that they would grow into..these things, then he wouldn't had anything to do with them. Damn, they were so irratating. He thought at least the female would be alittle princess or something.. but she was just like her mother. Stupid, cruel, vengeful, cold, vecious, stupid, mean, stupid.. and just.. stupid. God, if he swore once, he'll swear again that he's never having pups come around Senna.
Suddenly, he felt a weight push him to the groud, flat on his face. "What the..? The little were all out sitting in front of his face, smiling and laughing at him. Which kinda of confused him since..there had to be something on his back.. and if it wasn't the pups, what was it? "Hanataro, you should toughen up abit. Even my young, tiny pups are kicking your ass." And there goes his pride and ego. "I do not need to toughen up! I'm one strong jackel who could- "If your so strong, how come you haven't gotton me off your back yet."Hanataro layed silently for a moment before squirming and wiggling under the wolf's body, trying to get free. "Well, maybe I would if you'd just lose a few frickin' pounds!" Senna just smiled and continued her sharade, even gesturing to her pups to join in on the fun. They gladly accepted, and pounced ontop of Hanataro's face, whacking there small paws across his large ears. The opakti just growled in annyance as his torturing continued. "Seriously..? You have nothing better to be doing?" The alphess pretended to ponder over the question before innocently looking back down at him with a smile. "Nope. And I think I need some sleep." Hanataro looked up at her, as if asking what the hell was that supposed to mean.. untill he could feel her whole body flop down over him. "That is not fair! I need to breathe, 'ya know!" His voice muttered through the wolf's thick coat, followed by a little whiney voice a few minutes after. "Wait, you are gonna stay awake right..? Your just kidding... right?" Not a sound was heard. The four pups went alongside there mother and snuggled up into her warm fur.
A few moments later, the alpha's head pricked up to a sound, her auds rotating from side to side to pick out the sound. Someone was approaching, and she couldn't pick up there scent yet. She carefully got onto her feet without waking the pups. They tired themselves out with Hanataro that they didn't even budge when there mother moved. Senna pushed the jackel ablittle to wake him up too.. the jackel couldn't even handle a few pups he fell asleep too. "What," he grumbled lightly, giving his master an agitated-looking glare. I hear something.. She couldn't quite pick it out yet, but she was sure here little elephant-ears friend could help her out. Just when she thought of that little comment, the jackel's ears drooped to the sides. She still forgot that he could hear her thoughts. Nevertheless, his ears went to work and sat up silently to listen to whatever was making the noise. Finally, her muttered, "It just sounds like a bird and someone on top of the falls.. There not going to find us in here, and no bird is going to harm you." Senna sighed alittle, knowing that this wasn't her first time for jumping at the slightest of sounds when she was around her pups. She had to admit, she was alittle protective over them. "Wait.." The jackel's ears pricked forwards, his facial expression showing his concention. Those fluttering wings sounds like there.. heading straight for the cave." That struck Senna as alittle odd. Why would a bird head for a frozen over waterfall? Unless-
"Me? Well, I'm not exaclty flattered to see you eiher."
Senna drifted out of her thoughts when she saw her mate's raven land inside the cave. Just what she needed right now. An argument between the two to wake up the pups. Then again, they'd just whine for a minute and then go attack the opakti's. Not to mention, that where ever Tamen was, Kaija was sure to be around. Hopefully he had better luck with hunting than she did. "Hanataro, ask him if he or Kaija found any food." Hanataro never averted his cold glare away from the raven. "I'm sure he can hear you." Senna rolled her eyes slightly. "I'm aware of that, but if you haven't noticed, I can only hear you." Hanataro loosened a muffled sort of growl from his throat, knowing it was best to just obey her. "Well, did you find anything? Or are you too stupid enough to even look for something?" Senna had to crack a small smile. He always had to put in alittle comment at the end to push at your bottons.
[It's fine. ^^]

'Me? Well, I'm not exaclty flattered to see you either.' The bird rolled his eyes, and hissed at the Jackel. He was all too aware of Hanataro's cold glare, but shifted his eyes around the cave, searching for the only thing that worried him in here. Then he spotted them. Sound asleep, four little, or little for wolves, anyway, bundles of fluff laying soundlessly on the ground. He coudldn't help but let out a slight sigh of relief, atleast now he didn't have to worry about being savagely attacked by sharp teeth. These pups had no manners what so ever, and seemed to think they had the rights to just attack anything that moved, including himself. Ergh. "Hanataro, ask him if he or Kaija found any food." Switching his beady gaze away from the savages, Tamen listened to the Alphess' words carefully, before turning to face the irritating smaller canine again. 'I'm sure he can hear you.' "I'm aware of that, but if you haven't noticed, I can only hear you." Tamen listened to the two contently, clicking his beak in annoyance when he noticed that the Jackel was still gawping at him. He glared back, putting as much enthusiasm and hatred into his eyes as he possibly could without losing himself. "Well, did you find anything? Or are you too stupid enough to even look for something?" Who did this Jackel think he was?! He couldn't talk to him like that! It was just so . . . so . . . so uncalled for. And bloody typical of that stupid, toothless dog. . . .several times . . . but no, not even a hare." He reported, scowling, and then staring out of the cave mouth, wondering where that lazy brute of his had got to.
Honestly, these cliffs were lifethreatening. Why his mate had decided to make the den here of all places, was beyond him, but their was no arguing with Senna when she was determined to have something, and that alone had cost many wolves their lives before, he knew that only too well. But, that was why he called her his Alphess. Kaija knew that she could control a strong pack, and would make a good leader. He was right, she kept them all in line, and had not let the reputation of bloodthirst slip. Not to mention that he had grown incredibly fond of her, even when he had been only a Beta. She was made for the rank.
The large Brute padded up and down, left and right on the ground below the cliffs, searching for a suitable way up. He could see the opening to the den, their was no myst, no fog to betray his sights. The skies were clear enough, unless you were going to count the unnervingly big cloud that hung over the Island, threatening to send the land into a big freeze. As if this weather wasn't enough. It was already below zero in temperatures, and, although the snow had stopped for now, it was not going to stay that way. The sooner he was in that cave. The better.
Had the world frozen solid? It certainly seemed like it, their was no noise, not even the sound of birds high up in the trees. Odd. It was, it did, the world was at a stand still. If not the world, then this Island was definitely. He was the only thing that stirred, even including the waterfall. It had been stopped in its tracks, turned into ice by the harsh weather, and even if it did look pretty, it may well turn out lethal.
The brute stood his hight, strong and proud as he stared up at the almost white cliifs. He had his path. It was the safest way up, and also lead pretty close up to the cave entrance.
Ergh, would've been easier to come from the top. He thought to himself when he had, quite uneasily, reached about halfway up. 'Right you are' Kaija scowled. So Tamen was already up there? Had he even bothered to go looking? 'As it happens, I did. And as I ad said before, their absolutely thing here. Nor, from what I could see, in any of the other lands.' Nothing at all? 'Nope.' Great. After a little while, he reached the entrance. The brute threw a sharp look at his Raven, before glancing around to see else was here. Senna. Four pups. The smaller mutt. Tamen and himself. Was this really all the pack consisted of? He was certain that their were more member, or had been certain, anyway. What had happened to Eruru? Or Hoshi? Or even that small pup Red? Were they no longer here? I ought to start paying more attention. 'I agree, you should.'
As much as he would hate to admit it, that large bird had become somewhat of a mentor to Kaija. He would forever be found asking Tamens opinion on something, and even following his orders in times of crisis. 'Face the facts, Wolf, you worship me.' The Raven said smugly, and quickly making himself out of hit range. The Alpha snarled at him, before directing his sights back to the wolf members of the pack, his mood lifting just slightly. He nudged Sennas head with his muzzle, and licked her ear in greeting, before sitting himself down next to her. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing."

The jackel graoned in annoyance at the ravens reply. Why the hell was there no damn food around here anymore? There was always a herd of innocent deer in the feilds, a scattered rabbit hopping around, anything. The truth was, he had to face the facts that it was winter, and by the looks of it, it was going to be a pretty damn harsh one. "He didn't see anything," He finally mumbled, knowing that it was another day gone without a morsel of food to eat. Senna simply gave a flick of an ear and frowned at his answer. She knew they were definatly not in the best of situations. She knew that packs could collaspe without providing food.. so what about the skayla? How the hell were they going to survive if they've found no sign of prey for days? Then again.. was there anyone else in the pack other than herself, Kaija and the pups? She hadn't seen any of the other member of her pack in a while. As she pondered over it some more, there could be a chance that they died of starvation.. or they just got up and left. [Once she came out of her thoughts, she realised that the bird had left, and that her opakti was staring up at her. It was that look he gave to her when he wanted something.
"We need food, Senna."
"State the obvious.." What could she honestly do about the lack of food? She could tell him to go out and look some more, but it's just a pointless waste of time to come back with nothing. She heaved a sigh and looked back at her jackel once more. This time-for once in his life- he had a serious look placed upon his face. "What is it?" Hanataro's gaze shifted over towards the other side of the cave. "Your pups.." The alphess raised a brow momentarily, slightly confused. "What about them?" The jackel remained silent for some time before getting up and walking out towards the entrance. "Think about it: If we don't find enough food, then we'll grow weak,so.. if you don't get enough food, won't the pups die?" Senna's auds pinned to the back of her head. She was sort of surprised by the first bit of intelligence and seriousness he's ever shown her, but most of all, he had a point. Still, there was no way she was letting her first litter of pups die. "You have no worries of that happening. We'll find food soon-Maybe Kaija got some." Hanataro's worry didn't leave him. If the pack died, then where would he go? He was Senna's opakti, and she took care of him..plus the fact that he was 'alittle' spolied and he really didn't have to do anything with the help of a wolf pack.
The scent of another wolf drew Senna's attention away from Hanataro and to the noise of someone approching through the entrance. As the brute's body emerged through the small hole, she recognised her mate straight away and revealed a light smile. With a nudge of his muzzle to her head, she returned it with a few licks on the top of his head. He was probly the only wolf that could quikly shift her bad mood into a better one. Hanataro, on the other hand, fell into a worse mood after the fact that the pesky little pigion had come back and that Kaija had no luck with getting something to eat either. A groan emerged from his lips as he flopped down onto the cold dirt. Senna could only sigh and nod her head in acceptance. None of them could find anything. "We'll find something, eventually." She looked up to her mate and revealed a playful smile. "And if we don't, we could always 'borrow' some from the other packs."

'Its getting worser out there, you know. Tamen concluded as he stared out of the cave mouth. The grounds were now nothing but white. no green, no grey, no nothing. Just White. If it wasn't so heavy, and wasn't life threatening, then maybe, just maybe, Tamen would have thought it looked quite pretty, if he were in to all that soppy stuff. Kaija smirked from the other side of the cave when the thoughts ran through his mind, making Tamen scowl again. Was he not aloud to have sensitive moment, not even for a few seconds, without being mocked?! Apparently not..
The snowfall outside was still falling, thick and fast, coating the ground with high inches. That was going to be here for more than a while. Fantastic. The Raven stared out into the open space, not looking at anything in particular now. If this kept up, he was going to be stuck here, for too long, with, well, with four man eating - mad raving pups, 2 over protective, bossy adult wolves, and that stupid Jackel. Could his life possibly get any worse?
'Oah, quit your moaning.' Kaija told him silently, not quite succeeding in keeping the smirk of his face. As much as Tamen may try to act hard, to be cold and dangerous, almost, well, depressed., he failed. The birds attempts weren't serious, they were nothing more then a joke. Something that Kaija found very funny when watching.
'We'll find something, eventually.' Kaija watched a smile spread across his mates muzzle, making her look, well, evil, maybe? He raised an eyebrow at her in curiosity. 'And if we don't, we could always 'borrow' some from the other packs.' The Brutes eyes narrowed as he grinned in understanding. It had been so long since he had visited any of the other packs, and he sincerely enjoyed the fear that spread through their faces when they came face to face with one another. "Oh, indeed, lets." He answered, sounding almost pup like. This could all just turn into one big game.
'Well, you shouldn't see it like that. Not a game. Your lives could depend on it.' Tamen told him, matter of factly. 'Well, if worse comes to worse, you know who'll be on the menu first, dont you?' The bird scowled at the comment.

Since her last comment drifted from the alpha's mouth, and the agreement from her mate, the obsidian colored wolfess drifted in and out of her minds now savage thoughts. What if she did trespass forbidden territory in search of food? What would exactly become of it? Would they even notice, or would they cry for war?A sly, almost insanly-looking smil tugged at her flues and her thoughts continued. Of course there was no question about it. Knowing the alphess, she'd start a fight weither they liked it or not. Besides, it was about time for some drama to flare up between the packs again. It was painfully boring without some Liazo scum or Xyla trash not complaining in your face. At least if they were, she'd have a reason to start something. Then again, it's not like she really needed a reasonable explanation to stir up some chaos for the packs of Kongrai..
"Is that really nessicary..?"
Sapphire occules slowly peered over at the rather concerned looking jackel. They narrowed down upon the opakti accompined by a toothy smirk. Then tell me.. how is it unnessicary? A soft huff was released by the smaller canine as he pictured the alpha's bloodcuddling thoughts. "I'm just saying.. you want to start violence-for nothing?" Before he begin to ramble with some you-shouldn't-be-so-sadistic-speech, he realised who he was talking to. If he liked something or not, Senna was going to go out with any twisted plan she had in mind.. and if Senna needed to 'take care of business with other packs', that mean't that she needed a babysitter.. for those miniture demons of two malicious parents. Fun. Then, Hanataro came up with a better idea to perhaps cease her plotting. "Senna, you can't be serious. Besides, there's been no movement from the Liazo or Exousia pack.. and Xyla may have more members at there side. Do you really want to take that chance?" Wow, this had to be the most serious he had been in quite a while. Senna's smirk didn't disperse, it only continued to widen wickedly upon her maw.. and he already knew what she was thinking-literally. "I've already thought of that scenario, Hanataro."
The dark bodice shifted over to the entrance of the cave, staring out into the white abyss. The weather didn't seem like it was going to let up anytime soon, which may become an advantage to her. "Kaija, do you think your up for it.. now?" It was alittle sudden, but she needed food.. not to mention that it ached not having the taste of lingering blood from her foes flow past her enamels. The jackel's body tensed at her words. She was actually going to go into someone's teritory for a meal? The vixens almost pledding-looking eyes fixated on her mate. "I don't think anything prey are around our land at the moment, and we need food to survive on." Her mate was alpha, and he had equal say in any plans that were going to happen. Besides, who better than to enjoy the show that was about to unfold with her than her mate? Hanataro would have to stay behind of course, to make sure nothing happenes to the pups. The jackel, instantly hearing her thoughts, scowled. He still couldn't believe it. She was still going through with this with-god only knows what pack. Yet, deep down, the smaller canine pondered.. maybe it wasn't an act of discord that she would bring. Maybe, she just cared for the Skyla so much, that she was going to steal food as an act of courage and so her pack would starve..
Ha! The femme rolled her eyes. She just wanted all hell to break lose, and for her and her family to have something to knaw on.

Tamen listened to the coversation intently, his expression changing from confusion to plain anxiety. Well, he could only hear what the Jackel was saying, but it wasn't hard to guess what they were talking about. The Alphess wanted to visit the other packlands, steal the food from them. In this weather! Had the whole being stuck cooped up in this damned cave thing got to her head? Had she really gone starl raving mad? The bird had always known she wasn't normal, what with all the ... blood cravings, and that, but really? In this weather? He stared at the she-wolf, struggling to keep his beak from falling open.
'Kaija, do you think your up for it.. now?' The Brute had watched her converse with the little Canine, although he couldn't actually tell what they were saying. He just knew that whatever it was, she was determined to get it done. The question shocked him. Sure, he was up for it, but, now?! He shivvered, sending an uncertain glance at the view from the cave mouth. Yes, maybe, the snow fall was lightening up slightly, but the stuff on the ground was thicker than ever. If they were to get stuck out their, then that was it. Nothing could be done.
Kaija looked back at his mate, attempting to hide his uncertainty from her. 'Your not considering this..?' Tamen asked, raising as much of his eyebrows as he could. 'No..' He replied, not entirely telling the truth, which, of course, Tamen could figure immedietly. "...Now?" The Alpha asked his mate, eyeing the look she was giving him. It was almost, what, pleading with him? Yep. He knew now, for certain. He was going to do this, whether he felt like it or not. Afterall, he wasn't about to let her go wandering off, unprotected, in this kind of weather.
'I don't think anything prey are around our land at the moment, and we need food to survive on.' Tamen watched the two wolves. Kaija was going to go, no question about it. The Raven wasn't even going to get a say in this. He turned his attention to the Jackel, a look of pure astonishment on his face. Was he really hearing this correctly? And was Hanataro, or whatever his name was, agreeing to this? Apparently not, judging by the look on his face.
( Sounds good to me )

The darkened silhouette of the alphess moved back ino a sitting position as she saw the uncertainty in her mates eyes. Hnataro saw it as well , althought he was alittle glad to see it . Maybe now he would say no and they wouldn't have to do a damn thing in this weather.. plus, he really didn't want to stay behind to watch those.. things . Why couldn't she just be normal , and then she wouldn't have such a demented, twisted litter of pups? God, he hated to imagine what they would be like when they were older.. they would be savages. A shiver was sent down his spine as the thoughts multiplied. For now though, he rathered them stay as pups, even though they were trouble enough now, at least they're not as bad as fully grown adult wolves. Senna's auds pricked forward as that one note slipped from her mates muzzle. "Yes." Was all she could muster up in response. Damn it, they needed food, and the more they waited, the more hungry they would get, and eventually, she wouldn't have any energy to feed her pups. She didn't want it to come to that.
One of the pups whimpered a squeky whine, triggering the rest of the pups to awaken. Senna sort of smirked at them and trotted to there side. They all seemed to be showing there different personalities. One could be playful while the other be down right mean, another was very quiet yet had that savage characteristic in him, while the only female seemed to want her own way.. all the time. The question was if there personality would change when they grown older; Senna didn't know the answer. All she hoped for was that they grow into strong wolves. "Tch.. if there anything like there parents, they'll be twice as likely to kill everyone.. and I swear, if they try to make me there meal someday, I'll" "Hanataro.. They're trying to do that now." Hanataro closed his eyes and scowled lightly at the wolf.
Senna turned her attention back to her mate as the pups fed off her. By the look on his face, he was considering it. With that, she knew that he would join her, smiling sort of eagerly. All Hanataro could do was watch the couple's expressions, and after awhile, he finally realised- "Seriously!? Are you actually going?" The smaller canine was, by now, visibly furious. Damn it, he was really hungry, but he'd rather starve than to babysit satan's litter. Maybe if there were more members in this damn pack, someone else could do the stupid job.. then, a random thought occured to him. "Senna..?" The female looked to her opakti with an eyebrow raised. "What?" "Is the pigeon going with you, or staying here..?" Senna rolled her eyes. "That's up to Kaija, not me." Once again, the jackel groaned in an annoyed manner. Seriously, it was bad enough that he was stuck with four pups, but with that feathered.. idiot? He swore that if he stayed, he would eat him for lunch. Senna moved away from her pups once they finsihed feeding, and moved towards her mate. "So, you'll go?"

It wasn't exactly hard for Kaija to tell that 'Senna was in some sort of deep conversation with her opakti, possibly arguing with him, judging by the looks they were both sending eachother. He looked over to where Tamen was sitting, a tiny splinter of hope growing inside him that perhaps the Jackel was changing her mind about going outside. But the bird was giving nothing away, he was just sat, watching the two canines intently, a big, broad smirk sat plainly across his beak. All the Brute had to clue him in was, the odd snap from Senna. And from the sounds of things, odds were in her favor.
Tamen stood on the far side of the cave, strategicly puttinbg some distance between him and the young wolves without anybody actually realising. 'Cos he was clever like that. He listened to the conversation smugly, thrilled to hear that 'Senna was OWNING that smelly mutt. But then caught a look from Kaija. The Raven raised his eyebrows, imprinting the words 'What.?' into the Brutes mind.
But, something else caught his attention. A comment that the Jackeln had just said. Pigeon. Tamens eyes narrowed dangerously on the dog, and then turned to his wolf. 'So, your going, right? I'd better come to ... safety measures and all.' Kaija rolled his eyes, but nodded, almost reluctantly. Even if he disagreed, Senna would go. She would do what was best for the pack, for the pups. Even if it meant putting herself in danger. And so, Kaija would have to go with her. Protection measures, and all.
Tamen turned on the mutt, a large, triumphant smile placed on his beak. 'Well, atleast I get to go with them. Hate to miss out on the fun, and all,' he said smugly, eyeing the bouncing pups intently, 'but duty calls, yaknow? Good luck, dog.' You didn't have to look to see that he was smirking. The Raven turned his beady eyes back on Kaija, as 'Senna wandered over to him, and asked him directly, just to make sure he didn't go back on his word. 'So, you'll go?' The Brute frowned ever so slightly, but it was inevitable. "Sure, why not?"

Hanataro, after he finished groaning and complaining about his duty for the pups , finally caught a glimpse of that ignorant pigeon.. just sitting there with that smug look on his face. What was he so happy about? It wasn't like there was anything he should be smiling about in a situation where most of them were starving.. until the words came out of his beak. The jackal froze. That bird.. gets to go with them?! That was no fair! Just because he could fly and all, and see any danger ahead and all that crap, didn't mean that he should go.. Arghh! Why couldn't they just take me instead of him! Damn raven got whatever he wanted.. and all he got was a babysitting job. Sometimes, he wished he could just-
'-but duty calls, yaknow? Good luck, dog.'
.. Dog? Did he just call him.. a dog?! A fierce growl ripped through the opakti's throat as he stared down the bird. "One of these days..your gonna regret ever saying that." Not the best comeback in the world, but it was still a threat. Oh, what he would do to have that bird lodged between his jaws- wings, feathers and all. Just to hear the agonizing screams and beggings for forgiveness from him. He stopped thinking such dark thoughts as he realized.. how much had his master rubbed off on him? "Besides, I don't need any luck from the likes of you," He retorted again in a mock-like tone, "I would do a hell of a better job babysitting than you." Once again, it was a bad comeback.. but anything to ruffle that birds feathers would make him happy.
Senna sat in front of her mate, noticing the slight frown that tugged at his lips, making her believe that he wasn't considering on going. Yet, the next three words he spoke made her smile. He was actually going to come with her.. even though he didn't seem like he wanted to. She leaned closer to him and gave him a few thankful licks to his neck. They were actually-well, hopefully-going to have food tonight. If everything went well with there hunt, and after they ate , she might even take the pups out of the cave for the first time.. depending , that is. They were still heading into enemy territory for food, so coming out without a scratch would perhaps be a miracle.. or just a normal, boring hunt. With a playful nip at her mates neck, she walked over to the entrance of the cave, looking back at him before she went out. "So, what pack did you want to go to?"
[Finished! Sorry for the lateness.. but we just got on spring break, so I should be able to post more often.. I think. xD]

'One of these days..your gonna regret ever saying that' Tamen opened his beak to say something, but reconsidered, snapping it shut again. Nah, he wasn't going to stoop to that level, he was not the type of bird whom got into arguments with nasty little pests like that ... that ... that thing sat opposite him. No, he wasn't going to stoop to its level. 'Besides, I don't need any luck from the likes of you, I would do a hell of a better job babysitting than you.' Now, he was definitely struggling to not snap out a retort. The Raven stared at the jackel in disbelief. Did he really just say that?! Seriously?! He was, what, stooping to that? Having to babysit was, like, the worst job of the worst. Especially when it included babysitting them. Those little rats lying asleep in the corner, sure, they weren't all that big, but they could bit with one hell of a force. Not to mention that their parents were ... Demented. Yeah, that was the perfect word. Sick, demented, evil wolves. But, he had been bought onto this earth, by the angel himself, to serve, and so serve he shall. "Of course you would. Well, enjoy your babysitting, dog." Tamen added with a smirk, quickly taking to the air, just to make sure the Jackel couldn't wrip his head off anytime now.
"So, what pack did you want to go to?" Kaija watched Senna in her eagerness to get out, and then sent a quick glance to the outside world. Atleast the snow seemed to be thinning out, it wasn't falling quite as fast as it had been before, but, then again, it was still laying thickly on the ground. They were going to have one hell of a hard time walking through that. "Whoever takes your fancy." He said in answer, standing up with a meaningful glare at Tamen, whom, yet again, appeared to be agitating the Jackel.
"I take it, the Jackel will be staying with the pups?" He asked out of curiosity, shifting his eyes to watch his mates little canine for a couple of seconds, and then sweeping them over the sleeping pups, before landing them back on Senna again. She was stood by the cave entrance, looking back at him, almost impatiently. Kaija padded over to where she was, deliberately brushing up against her side as he passed, a slight grin playing on his maw.

"Of course you would. Well, enjoy your babysitting, dog."
Arghh! Hanataro's retorts barely bothered the feathered pest, but he figured that perhaps his teeth would.. Damn, how he loathed that raven. That arrogant, idiotic bird was going to get what was coming to him, and he thought it should come right about now as his lips parted to reveal his fangs.. that is, until he flew away. If there was one thing that he hated about Tamen, it was that he had the stupid advantage of flight on his side, so anytime Hanataro tried to do something, all he had to do was take to the skies. So, once again, Tamen took off in satisfaction.. or that he was too much of a coward to come near him. The jackal liked the later idea far more.
"Whoever takes your fancy."
Senna's smile widened as she thought of which pack to.. 'borrow' from. Well, the Liazo scumbags were either very quiet lately, or there alphas, yet again, have vanished. The exousia rumors she had heard of for a few days died down, so that pack was probably just about as dead as the Liazo.. so that left one last pack. The Xyla. It made perfect sense, though. There pack was not so different than the others; quiet, and didn't want to start a fight. The only thing different about there pack: they actually had members in it. How many members, she was unsure of. All she knew was that Kishi was still the alphess there. Suddenly, her smirk transformed into a smirk. How would the proud, peaceful alphess of Xyla, like a little visit from the Skyla? Her opakti looked upon the alpha's face and sighed. "You know, this could end badly if you venture into someone else's territory.. especially Kishi's." "It might end badly.. on her part, anyways. I'm just going to take some food from her, and if she gets frustrated over that, then I think I'll have to prolong my visit, just to.. calm her down." The jackal knew exactly what she mean't by 'calm her down'. Yet, he was still worried.. what if there were alot more Xyla than she anticipated? Yes, Senna and Kaija were like two beasts of like-mass destruction.. but two beasts can only handle so many. You don't have to worry about anything, Hanataro. Just stay with the pups. I don't care if we take hours, don't let my pups out of your sight. Her interrupting thoughts sent a chill down Hanataro's spine. He nodded obediently, and surprisingly walked over towards the litter.. a few feet away of course, and sat back on his hind legs. The alpha, returning to her previous thoughts, looked back to Kaija. "Xyla it is then."
"I take it, the Jackel will be staying with the pups?"
Senna looked back at her mate, and nodded. "Yeah, they should be alright with him for awhile.. We don't really have any members to care for them right now, so he'll have to do." The opakti scowled at the ebon fea; she talked as if he was her last resort-"You are my last resort." The jackels ears flattened out across his head in an irate manner. "So.. tell me why I still put up with you..?" The alpha just rolled her sapphires at him, knowing she could say the exact same thing to him. Her eyes were about to return to her mate, when she felt his frame brush up against her side as he passed her, looking at her with that signature grin of his plastered upon his face. With an eyebrow raised, she gently nipped at his tail, jumping over to his other side so he could copy his movement earlier and let her bodice brush up against his side.. only to nip at his ear playfully and bound off in front of him, laughing. Might as well have alittle fun before there games begin.

It wasn't particularly hard to guess exactly which pack Senna would choose to invade. Of course, the Liazo would be an easy pick off, but as far as the two were aware, that pack was history. Come to think of it, Kaija couldn't remember the last time he'd heard of that pack actually having alphas ... or pack members for that matter. His mate wouldn't go for the empty lands, she'd want a bit of fun whilst hunting. And the rumours of another pack emerging had proven to be, just rumours. So, all that that left was the Xyla. They certainly had atleast one pack member partolling those lands.
Sure enough, the answering words that rolled out of his mates mouth were exactly as he had predicted. 'Xyla it is then.' A thin smile curled around his lips at the thought, and he could already hear the same thoughts echoing through Tamens mind. Food. Yet, their was also a faint doubt in the Ravens thinking. 'Your going to steal food off of your sister..?' He sounded not far off from, was it discusted? 'Survival of the fittest, isn't it. And we've got to eat, even you know that.'
'Yeah, they should be alright with him for awhile.. We don't really have any members to care for them right now, so he'll have to do.'
(Not finish x3)
